"I'll get straight to the point," William began. "We've received a special request from Lord Halland Gills, the lord of Tallian City. He needs a reliable and capable adventurer to accompany his daughter on a journey to a newly discovered dungeon outside the city. Given your recent accomplishments, I've recommended you for the job."

Alan listened intently, curious about the details. "What exactly does this mission entail?"

William leaned forward, resting his elbows on the desk. "Lord Gills' daughter, Samantha, will be leading an expedition to the dungeon along with a contingent of guards. Your task will be to ensure her safety throughout the journey and during the dungeon exploration. This mission is of utmost importance, and Lord Gills is willing to offer a substantial reward for your services."

Alan considered the offer, weighing the risks and benefits. "Why me? Surely there are other adventurers who could take on this task."

William nodded. "There are, but few have the skills and reliability that you possess. Your reputation precedes you, Alan. Lord Gills needs someone he can trust, and based on your recent exploits, I believe you're the right person for the job."

Alan thought about the missions he completed throughout the last few weeks and his growing reputation within the guild. He had been looking for a mission with good monetary reward, and this seemed to fit the bill perfectly. "Alright, I'll do it. When do we leave?"

'This will also let me be introduced to the noblemans circle.' Alan thought to himself.

Alan stood up, feeling a sense of determination. "Thank you, Mr. Scott. I won't let you down."

"I have no doubt," William replied, standing up to shake Alan's hand once more. "Good luck, Alan. And be careful."

With the meeting concluded, Alan and Sebastien left the office. As they walked down the stairs and back into the bustling guild hall, Sebastien turned to Alan with a smile.
