CHAPTER 72

Titans Tower, Training Room.

Starfire looked at the shaking building, her face darkening.

"That's enough, everyone, stop it!" she shouted to the people in the arena.

However, at this point, no one could hear Starfire's words.

"Answer me, did you intentionally miss that first punch?" Wonder Girl questioned Superboy as she rushed towards him, leaving numerous afterimages behind her.

She was referring to the moment when Superboy had his punch redirected by Robin's Batarang, triggering the smoke bomb, and then used it as an attack against Wonder Girl.

Wonder Girl carefully considered the situation. Superboy's attack could have hit her directly, but he deliberately missed.

"I don't want to hurt you," Superboy replied calmly, deflecting Wonder Girl's continuous attacks.

Their punching speed was astonishingly fast, and onlookers could only see blurs.

On the other side, Beast Boy found himself unable to escape Yuri's restraints, whether he turned into a gorilla or a bird.

Yuri's control over the crystals was too strong, causing the cage to change with Beast Boy's size.

"Gar, quickly turn into a mosquito!" Robin suddenly rushed in and shouted to Beast Boy, while throwing three small balls at Yuri.

Puff!

Unidentified white gas released from the three balls, instantly enveloping Diamondhead.

Beast Boy quickly understood Robin's plan. Even though Yuri could control the size of the crystals, he would have a hard time accurately controlling a target as small as a mosquito.

With the additional smoke bomb from Robin blocking the line of sight, catching Beast Boy became even more challenging.

In the blink of an eye, Beast Boy transformed into an almost invisible green mosquito, flying out of the crystal restraints.

As expected, although Yuri's crystal restraints tried to shrink further into thin threads to catch Beast Boy, their accuracy was too poor, and they couldn't perfectly hit such a tiny target.

Yuri knew that Beast Boy had escaped, so he retracted the crystal restraints.

"Tim, you are quite clever, much smarter than the others," Yuri complimented as he slowly stood up. Unlike the previous black smoke bomb, the white smoke dissipated almost entirely after Yuri got up.

It probably lasted less than a minute.

Upon seeing Yuri unscathed, Robin was secretly alarmed because the balls he had thrown were not smoke bombs at all.

They were sleep-inducing pellets!

Once the white smoke was inhaled, even an elephant would fall asleep, yet Yuri seemed completely unaffected.

'It seems that not only has his appearance transformed into hardened crystal, but even his internal structure has changed..." Robin contemplated, "If we assume his entire body is composed of diamond, then perhaps only mass-destructive weapons can destroy this so-called Diamondhead...'

'This guy, does he truly have no weaknesses?'

At present, it remained uncertain whether Yuri had only one form as Diamondhead or if he could shapeshift like Beast Boy. If it were the latter, how powerful could the other forms be?

Could there exist a form stronger than Diamondhead?

'No, what am I even thinking? Planning how to deal with my own teammates?'

Realizing his dangerous thoughts, Robin jolted back to reality, vigorously shaking his head. He clenched his fists and gritted his teeth, thinking, 'Thinking like this, wouldn't I become just like Batman?'

'No, I absolutely refuse to become Batman!'

Robin tightened his grip on his fists, 'Nightwing proved himself different from Batman by leaving, and I won't go down that path either. But that doesn't mean I'm willing to become Batman!'

'Get to hell, Batman!'

Yuri watched as Robin stood alone, his eyes burning with determination. Yuri was a little puzzled by the scene; he had always thought that anyone associated with Batman was highly intelligent and composed, even emotionally sophisticated. Tim, as Robin, shouldn't fall far from that standard, right?

Yuri scratched his chin, unsure of what to make of it.

"Conner! Cassie! Everyone, stop this now!"

Just then, a booming voice echoed through the room, drowning out all other sounds.

Everyone was startled and quickly looked up.

Starfire had somehow flown in, with various unknown green luminescent energy spheres swirling around her hands and feet.

Her pupil-less, emerald eyes emitted a dazzling green light, revealing a considerable amount of anger.

"You've gone too far! Look at what you've done to the training room? This is not an official training session, and you shouldn't be using such force against your friends!"

At this moment, everyone finally realized the extent of the damage. The once meticulously designed training room was now riddled with holes, and not a single piece of flooring remained intact; cracks were visible everywhere. Some fist-sized craters had even punched through the floor, exposing the earth beneath. Fortunately, the training room was located in the basement and far from critical load-bearing columns; otherwise, it might have collapsed, damaging the floors below.

Yuri, Robin (Tim), Superboy (Conner), Wonder Girl (Cassie), Impulse (Bart), and Beast Boy (Gar) stood side by side.

Their heights varied; Gar was the tallest at 1.7 meters, being one year older than the rest. Conner came second, nearly reaching 1.7 meters as well, while Tim was about the same height. Bart was the shortest, only 1.5 meters, and Cassie was exactly 1.6 meters tall.

As for Yuri, due to malnutrition, he was only 1.6 meters when he first traversed over. However, whether it was thanks to the omnitrix optimizing his genes or improved nutrition in recent days, Yuri had now reached 1.65 meters.

Starfire stood with her hands on her hips, sternly reprimanding Yuri and the others for nearly thirty minutes.

"Before going to bed tonight, you must repair the training room!"

Finally, Starfire handed out the punishment.

"She sure has a fiery temper. Sometimes Superman nags like this too, but he usually doesn't get this angry," Conner whispered in a low voice.

"Tamaranians' emotional displays are at least three times more intense than Earthlings', and Starfire is three times stronger than that. I read it in the Batcomputer files," Tim explained in a hushed tone.

"Hey, what if she heard us!" Bart whispered, reminding Conner and Tim to keep quiet.

"What are you waiting for? Let's get to work, guys. I want to sleep early tonight," Cassie said as she took the repair tools.

"Looks like we're starting the days of fixing the training room again. God, spare me!" Gar sighed dramatically, looking up at the sky.

'Hmm... I should have fought outside from the beginning, but the data I collected should be sufficient...' Yuri thought silently.

Repairing the severely damaged training room was no easy task, especially the completely destroyed environmental simulation system. If an ordinary team of professionals were to handle it, it would take at least a couple of months to repair. However, there were no ordinary people present, especially Gar, who had some inexplicable familiarity with repair work, probably from his time with the previous Teen Titans.

Yuri transformed into his Gray Matter form, and the environmental simulation system was quickly repaired and even upgraded.

Although Starfire said it was Yuri and the others' responsibility to fix it, she also joined in the repair process, not just standing idly by.
