31: Agreement

As Darius and Mathilda were about to exit the dungeon, the Demonicon Grimoire rattled violently as if there was a feral mountain cat inside it.

Curious, Darius opened the front page and found Lilith, the little succubus, was pestering him to let her go outside the Grimoire. Mathilda, of course, was against it.

However, Darius always has the soft spot for a kid. Lilith might be a demon, but she's still very young. Though she might pose a threat to Darius, he was confident to subdue or even kill Lilith in the real if needed.

Thus, Darius summoned the little succubus into the real world under Mathilda's strict supervision.

After Darius chanted the incantation, a magic circle in a size of several meters wide appeared on the ground. A circular light appeared on the magic circle and Lilith emerged from the Grimoire' pseudo-dimension.

"Master!" Lilith trotted to his side, embracing his waist. "Do you forget about me?"

Darius' eyes went blank, he completely forgot that he will back for my Lilith after defeating Belial.

"Of course no! I just need some time to reconsolidate everything that happened in one night. I planned to visit you once I am done with my… business on this side."

"Hmph…" Lilith grunted in length.

"More importantly, you forgot to bring this with you." Lilith produced a black quil pen from the fold of her ragged dress. "With this quil, you can write the demon's true name and create the Demonicon World to your liking. Ah, also, please rewrite Belial's fate. Before the miasma corrupted his Demonic Core, he was actually a good demon! He sent me to the other side since he knew his Demonic Core would be corrupted by Miasma."

Lilith says everything in one breather without stopping and was out of breath.

"Hmm, I see. I'll rewrite the whole Demonicon World instead."

"Wait a minute, Darius. Are you serious to provide them with a whole new world? Apart from that, do you know how Spiritual Sense that is needed to write a Grimoire?" Mathilda perched her hands on the hips, disagreed.

Darius sighed a long breath. He then flipped the grimoire and showed her the first page which contains the forewords that was written by Arthur, his father.

"You might wants to change your mind after you read this.

Mathilda read the forewords amicably, letter by letter. After which, she believed that the forewords were indeed written by Arthur.

"Demons, the fallen angels from the Kingdom of Heaven. They were cursed by the Gods for their sins, objecting the Gods' decision to create the First Human. They were punished to dwells the Earth's belly, banished into the darkness for eternity although they knew for the best that humans would bring nothing but destruction upon the whole world while the Gods laughing at human's conflict and watch them suffer for eons in this forsaken plain."

"Though their appearance might look unruly by humans' standard, Demons ought to know that there's always a beauty amidst the chaos. Do Demons deserve a redemption? As a Lunarian, and the leader of Moon People, my answer is yes. However, under the strict supervision so they won't repeat the same mistake by challenging the Gods."

"Henceforth, I create this Grimoire to record, and put the demons' soul inside the pages, so I could write a simulation world where Demons could relearn and redeem themselves."

Mathilda was speechless upon reading the forewords page. She wants to know what was in the next page but the Grimoire refused once again. It seems like the grimoire itself despised Mathilda for her background as a Demon Slayer in the past.

"For all this time, Arthur hid the Demonicon so the Heavenly Church won't find it. Otherwise, those wretched, vile humans under the mask of religious deed would use the book to spread more chaos and gained more prestige in front of public's face by posing the demons as scapegoat! Hah! Arthur, you sly racoon. You've made me to fight those wretched demons so you can record their souls inside the Grimoire for hundreds of years. Hahaha! I am utterly lost to you, and your son… Just how much do you know about our world, father?"

Mathilda couldn't stop grinning until her cheeks felt numb.

"You have mentioned Heavenly Church for a couple of times already. Now I am curious, who are they?" Darius took the Grimoire from her hands and began rewriting Demonicon World from the ground up.

"The most powerful faction in existence that is stand above the Law of Heaven and Earth. Long story short, a place where the most deprived humans practiced their teachings."

Darius immediately caught up with what Mathilda was implying. "A faction that shouldn't be mess with. Okay, noted. However, if they mess with me and trying to use the Demonicon for bad deeds, I'll burn them to the ground."

Slap!

A good slap landed on the back of Darius head. "Don't get ahead of yourself! Finish the writing, quickly. We ain't have all day."

Darius rubbed the stinging sensation on his head. "Almost there."

****

One hour later, Darius have finished rewriting the Demonicon and create a suitable world for demon to live in by erasing the existence of Miasma and he will visit the newly created world when he finished preparing the village for upcoming war.

For some reasons, Lilith, the little succubus refused to return to the Demonicon World. She wants to enjoy the fresh air a bit longer. Darius couldn't help but to let this bratty demoness to do whatever she wants as long as she didn't bothering too much.

Upon arriving at the village, Maria, as if her sixth sense had been triggered, ran down from the house to give Darius and Mathilda a good scolding in front of the villagers.

"Darius! Mathilda! I remember I told you two to return before breakfast and look at the sun, it's past noon already!"

Hahaha.

The villagers who were elated to see Mathilda were laughed joyously. These two younglings were like a newly wedded couple. Darius, even though he was the village chief, he couldn't do anything but to accept Maria's wrath.

"Also, who is this kid?"

There was a billowing smoke on top of Darius' head. "Mathilda, help me."

Unfortunately for him, Mathilda was nowhere to be seen, it seemed like she was already with Aunty Esther to discuss their business.

"Daariuus…" Maria's red hair were charged with Fire Elemental, she was even scarier than the demon whom he defeated a while ago.
