Chapter 43 - Relieved

Mitsuri felt both relieved and happy that Ryuu was willing to accept her but became curious as to what he wanted to tell her. They've only been together for a month and two weeks yet their relationship advances to being a lover.

Though, to consider them lovers was still complicated as Ryuu would spend more time with them until it was certain that they would stay by his side. He would understand if they still had doubts and worries to think about.

He bitterly smiled looking at her expectant eyes and opened his palm that gradually formed a spherical blood that made Mitsuri look at it in shock. Before I got closer to inspect it even more like a curious child.

"H-How are you able to do this? Is this a Blood Demon art!?"

Mitsuri asked without fear in her voice that Ryuu half expected since he knew that she wasn't one who reacts violently when demons are involved. She was the [ Love Hashira ] the title itself explains everything. Ryuu gave a light chuckle seeing how cute her face was.

"No, this is magic. I want to tell you a secret and promise me you won't tell anyone okay?"

Ryuu asked trusting his intuition in avoiding the stupid rule about not telling the chat group. It only said directly therefore could tell other ways without triggering the rules.

"I-I promise!"

"Actually, let's go to a more private place."

He grabbed her tightly before vanishing from their spot and arrived at the training grounds that made Mitsuri jaw drop.

"W-Wait where are we!? We were just in the lake but what!? How!?"

"Calm down, I'll explain everything."

Ryuu chuckled a bit while trying to calm her down. It took a few seconds before finally calming down. The Training Room wasn't as empty as Ryuu had found that it was possible to change the terrain quite a bit, turning into a grassland where a small cabin was built.

The Cabin came from the [ Store ] that he bought for 1,000 points. It had all the furniture and necessity for a cabin. The two sat on the porch while still beside Mitsuri.

"Now, first of all I came from another world roughly a hundred years in the future."

"Another world?"

Mitsuri mutters intrigue by her soon to be lover. It was unbelievable and had many questions in her mind but remained silent letting him continue.

"Yes, that's right. My world supposedly doesn't have demons (Oni), however, up until recently I've discovered that my world is more than meets the eye and still in the process getting more information when I was given a mission by the gods."

Ryuu makes up bullshit enough that it might make the bull jealous. Though, it wasn't completely a lie since some Random Omnipotent Being gave him the ability and calling them a god is not far.

"W-Wait Kami is real!?"

"Well, I haven't personally met them and only received missions to aid individuals from other worlds. I've seen the future where I wasn't around and it was grim. Only Sanemi and Giyu had survived among the Hashira."

Mitsuri felt herself being bathed in cold water from the revelation and slightly quivering in fear. Ryuu understood her reaction and didn't want to tell her the truth but it would be unfair to hide it.

She deserved the truth if her affection for Ryuu was real. It would give her a reason that he is trustworthy and can be relied on. He immediately held her in embrace to ease her heart.

"Don't worry, that is why I'm here. I'll prevent that future and give you a life you all deserve."

Ryuu warmth made Mitsuri feel safe and could easily doze off from his arms. She looked at him with her gaze moist before their lips collided. He let her be and accepted the kiss. It was quick but the emotion was there and made her blush.

"You don't need to be embarrassed. Well, anyway should I continue?"

"N-No, I want to know about your magic. Can I learn it?"

"Of course you can but it would take a while. Shinobu knew about everything and has been trying to acquire magic for three months now."

"Shinobu-san? I hope she doesn't mind me being your third lover?"

"You don't have worry, she already knew about your feelings about me. Oh right, since you know everything I'll tell you one more thing."

"What would that be?"

"Telling you not to be surprised would be useless but Kanae is alive."

A moment of pause could be heard and Mitsuri's eyes widened enough that it could fall from its socket. Ryuu only nodded from his doubting eyes since even after what he showed and said it was far too unbelievable.

"I was able to gain something from the gods and revive her. She's currently at the butterfly Mansion."

"C-Can I see her?"

"Of course, let's go but don't tell anyone else since they might react differently. Stay here for a moment and let me get her."

She nodded as Ryuu stood up and summoned a long katana that he slashed into the air that opened up a bluish portal. He entered finding Kanae with Shinobu who turned to see him and quickly greeted him with a kiss by both of them.

Kanae giggled from her frown , enjoying every moment to tease her. Ryuu already gave up and let her be since it was impossible to convince her to stop.

"Ryuu-kun, I thought you were fishing?"

"Did you miss Onee-san~?"

"I've told the truth to Mitsuri and she wants to see you."

Ryuu ignored her teasing and stopped trying to flirt when he explained the situation. Shinobu already understands that he had accepted her to be the third lover which she already knew would eventually come.

"Did you accept her?"

"Yes but let's talk about later. She's waiting."

They nodded before heading inside where Mitsuri saw them arrive but confused where Kanae was. Ryuu saw this and realized why she was confused.

"Ah Kanae-san your face. Try imagining returning back to your original appearance."

She nodded and turned herself back how she was supposed to look, which made Mitsuri in utter shock. Mitsuri slowly approached them and gotten closer look at Kanae who was giving a warm smile.

"How've you been, Mitsuri-chan?"

"K-Kanae-nee-san!!"

Mitsuri jumped in joy embracing Kanae, tightly crying in the process while Ryuu and Shinobu let them have their moment. He decided it was better to head inside the cabin and prepare some lunch.

"Where are you going, Ryuu-kun?"

"I'm going to prepare lunch and let you girls be."

He didn't want to ruin their reunion by standing in the side and was better to a meal to calm their nerves. It was fortunate that they could see the whole day or two in the dimension without worrying about people missing them.

Shinobu nodded, letting him be as she wanted to be there once the two calmed down. Ryuu arrived with the chickens and prepared the ingredients but thought about opening his [ Gacha ] ticket.

Ryuu was surprised to see the panel was updating and wondered what the reason was. He vaguely guessed that it was doing some bug fixing and changing some things since it had too many loopholes.

He was surprised that the Random Omnipotent Being was kind enough for him to let them share information about it. Ryuu wondered why the change but put it aside and check what the innate skills are.
