Chapter 184 - Army

The aftermath of the incident has been cleared and Ryuu brought back the remaining corpse of Kamish that he found in the cave and then handed it to Hunter bureau. And the news of Jin-woo disappearing didn't make it out to avoid panic among the people.

On another news jin-woo didn't lose anything, rather he gained Kamish as a Shadow soldier some on his level from the hoard of monsters that attacked him. His army has gotten stronger and he also got the runestone: Dragon's Fear from the Hunter Bureau.

Everything works out and heads back home where Ryuu spends time preparing for the upcoming war warning Thomas and Zhigang about the situation that is about to occur and they all nod knowing that they're nation needs to understand the situation soon.

It was a peaceful day in Seoul which wasn't experiencing any changes or emergencies because the Ah-Jin and Henosis guild cleared dungeons at a fast speed to ensure that the people are safe and no damage is done to the lives of the common people.

Gwanghwamun Square, Seoul.

The lively streets filled with people and a clear blue sky hung above the people who were commuting to work and students going to school in a merry mood as they talked to their friends.

An average-looking man with black hair wearing a suit crossed the road as he was reading something on his phone.

[The World is having difficulty with the sudden increase in the number of gates with many dungeon breaks happening to cause damage to life and property of common citizens, many cities have been put on high alert as the world is in a state of chaos that may rival the time when the gates first appeared.]

The man looked at the pictures in the article that showed the damage done to the other cities as he scrolled further and got more surprised the more he saw but when he saw that Korea wasn't mentioned in the list he wasn't that surprised.

"Man I don't know what would've happened if Ah-jin guild wasn't In Korea,"

The man said as he walked down the side path towards his company. And he suddenly remembered something.

"Damn I should worry about my own job, my contract with the company is ending soon."

The man sighed as he walked towards his company with heavy steps. But then a huge shadow appeared above him and the streets darkened.

"There wasn't any news about rain to…day"

The man said as he looked up and his words trailed off. The phone in his hands slipped and fell to the ground his mouth gaped open as he looked at the sky in horror.

It wasn't only him everyone on the street was the same as they looked at the gigantic gate hanging in the sky covering the whole Gwanghwamun area.

The lively chatter disappeared as the area was covered in eerie silence. With cars stopping in the middle of the road, It was the complete opposite from a minute ago.

Everyone looked at the gate as they didn't even dare to breathe heavily and the look of sheer horror on their face as they stared at the colossal gate that covered the once bright sky painting it in deep ominous purple color.

The gate was deep purple in color with lightning crackling every now and many people fell on the ground as their legs gave out from the wave of mana that came out of the gate. Like the breath of a bellowing beast that is sleeping but is about to wake up soon.

Then Everyone saw a black shadow racing across the sky and stopping in front of the gate when it stopped. People were able to see it clearly.

"A…..Dragon?"

The man muttered as he looked at the dragon that was dark purple in color and levitated in front of the gate.

It has been 5 hours since the gigantic gate appeared over the skies of Seoul and the panic is already starting to spread all over the country

===========

Currently, all of the S-rank hunters were assembled here on the front line looking at the gate that was hanging in the sky.

"No matter how many times I see this gate, I can still feel my hair stand on end,"

Yoon-ho said as he looked at the gate.

"Why are you being such a scaredy-cat?"

Jong-in said as he patted Yoon-ho's shoulder.

"Shut up you snake bastard,"

Yoon-ho said as he looked at Jong-in as his tiger tooth showed.

"What did you call me?"

Jong-in moved his glasses as veins appeared on his temple. And the two fought like how they usually do.

"And these two are at it again,"

Tae-gyu said as he smiled wryly.

"HAHAHA, they are always like this anyway,"

Dong-Wook said as he laughed heartily and started ordering his guild members to get into their positions.

All the high-rank hunters were present here at the moment. The S-ranks are in the very front with A-rank tankers and damage dealers forming a line behind them, magicians and healers in the backline, and A-rank and B-rank hunters protecting them. While Yoon-ho and Jong-in were at each other's throats.

"When is the gate going to open?"

Ryuu yawns while lazily looking at the sky since he knows what's about to happen.

"Why are you being so lazy?"

Jin-woo said as he clicked his tongue.

"I just don't like standing in one place for a long time,"

Ryuu said as he sat down on the floor.

'Well nothing is going to happen here anyway, it is just the remaining army of the former Shadow Monarch coming out of the gate.'

Ryuu thought as he looked at the gate.

"Ohh, there is movement,"

Ryuu said as a large amount of magic was released from the gate causing the land to tremble as a wave of Mana swept the floor.

A large amount of mana caused the hunters to sweat as the tension rose through the roof.

Tens of Thousands of Hunters surrounding the spot just below the gate held theirs, breathed and waited. This was a memorable spectacle of countless hunters waiting for a single moment to happen.

The close-quarter-type Hunters waited as their grips on their weapons tightened, while Magicians and Archer-type

Hunters started to ready their spells and arrows for a pre-emptive strike at a moment's notice. Arrows laden with Mana and various spells ready to be cast were aimed at the sky.

The hunters who were looking at the sky looked down to see to figure of Jin-woo standing while at the sky and Ryuu...Sitting cross-legged on the floor.

'What is he doing?'

That was the thought in everyone's mind as they looked at him. He was sitting down on the floor when the biggest gate of human history opened. Well, they didn't get to focus on it.

"T-The gate opened."

Someone shouted causing everyone to tense up.

"Get ready,"

Finally, the gate began opening up. The wall separating this world and the gate disappeared and certain 'things' staying within finally began pouring out in endless droves, these creatures completely blotted the sky in no time.

The Hunters below became completely dumbfounded by the number of creatures that seemed to be at least over one hundred thousand.

"How?"

Jin-woo said as he looked up at the creatures that were coming out of the gate with wide-open eyes even though he had a hunch after what igris said the other day he was still shocked.

"…"

Ryuu just looked at the army that was descending from the gate and yawned as it was what he knew and nothing changed. He was just here in case something unexpected happened like when Jin-woo was kidnapped by the Dragon Monarch.

"But, how… how can that many monsters… at the same time?!"

"There, there are just too many!!!"

Gasps and screams thick with despair exploded out from here and there. All those 'certain things' must've been under the influence of gravity-reduction magic, because they all landed on the ground very slowly.

"Attack! Hurry, attack!"

"Everyone, attack!"

Before those things land on the ground, they should try to reduce their numbers, at least by a little bit. Hunters sensed that their opportunity was here and began making their moves.

Magic spells ready to cast gleamed brightly from their hands and bowstrings aimed at the sky were all pulled taunt.

Tankers raised their shields right near their chins to get ready for close-quarters combat with those descending things. But then, before the concentrated firepower from the Hunters could pour out, Jin-Woo loudly yelled out.

[Nobody move!]

Jin-Woo's will, carried by Mana, was clearly transmitted to even those Hunters who didn't know any Korean. And it made everyone stop what they were doing.

Eventually, those creatures landed on the ground. The number of black monsters filling up the sights of the Hunters was so great that one's mind would grow faint just from the sheer scale.

From the gathered swarm of monsters, one particular being began walking out towards them. Jin-Woo, too, stepped forward. Just what was going to happen from here onwards? Hunters couldn't even breathe properly and closely watched Jin-Woo.

'...'

'...'

Jin-Woo stopped walking, and the 'Monster' also stopped walking as well and then….

The 'Monsters' looking at Jin-Woo suddenly knelt on the ground. And at that moment, the soldiers behind it also knelt at the same time.

The spectacle of a hundred thousand-plus soldiers bowing their heads at the same time carried an incredible, overwhelming shock value.

After a short bout of silence passed, the 'Monster' kneeling right out in front raised its head and spoke.

[ Grand-Marshal Bellion, here to humbly greet the Sovereign with his Shadow Army. ]
