Omega's Rebirth

What was worse than death itself? Well it was dying knowing that no one would miss you, knowing that your death was a favour to everyone you ever knew. This was exactly how I felt the day I died. I was the love child of the Eclipse Alpha King, in a time where the mate bond was considered sacred, a child born out of wedlock was nothing short of sacrilegious... 'It was his fault, he loved someone other than his mate...' 'It was his fault, he had carnal knowledge of a human woman.' 'It was all his fault, my only crime was being born out of his lust.' But why was that Alpha King father of mine perfectly safe, while I was hated, scorned and blamed for everything instead? Why did I have to be my father's bargaining chip, used to achieve his goals? Why could I not get a rejection like everyone else but was instead murdered by my own mate? Why was I killed before I even had a chance to live? I had a thousand questions and yet there was no one to answer and this was exactly how I died... So why then did my eyes flutter open to that day, a month before my death? Was it because of my little secret? A secret I will tell no one else but you... From the title of my tale, you must think I am an omega wolf... No, you got it wrong... I am not an Omega wolf, I am an Alpha wolf and my name is Omega. ~Second Book in the Werewolf Rebirth Series. *Not a prequel or sequel to 'The Alpha King's Nemesis', both books are not related save for the world setting and Werewolf Rebirth concept. *Cover art sourced from the internet, all credits to the original artist.*

Someone At The Door (Ch.19)

The moment Laila took her leave, Neveah breathed a deep sigh of relief.

She had not realized how valued her peace and quiet was till she had had her morning completely disrupted by the talkative she wolf.

However Neveah comforted herself in the fact that though Laila was most likely also sent by the Alpha Queen Vilma to spy on her, the talkative she wolf was still quite useful,

Not only had she kept Neveah updated on the present status on the search for the mystery Alpha wolf, she had also tidied up Neveah's room and prepared Neveah's bath water.

Now, she had gone off to fetch Neveah's breakfast from the kitchen and Neveah swore she found the attentive care of her new attendant unsettling.

"Well, enjoy it while it lasts." Neveah told herself as she got off her bed with a quiet groan of pain and headed into her washroom.

Neveah pushed the door shut and locked it before she headed over to her mirror, standing before it, she stared at her expression, noticing she looked rather pale and Neveah guessed it was due to blood loss.

Neveah sighed, her injury had stopped bleeding sometime within the night and she had had to change her blood stained sheets and bandages before going back to bed.

Neveah then pulled off her night robes and unwrapped the bandages, examining the wound through the mirror.

Every other lighter injury had already healed and even this showed signs of closing up and Neveah guessed it would be completely healed by the next day.

The spikes on the black dragon's tail had pierced in too deep and Neveah was even impressed to see she was healing so well without receiving proper medical attention.

Neveah was grateful she had considerable medical knowledge, the wound would not get infected and would heal just fine.

Neveah sighed quietly, stepping into her bath pool, she slowly washed herself, careful to avoid her wounds as she basked in the warmth provided by the water.

Just as Neveah was contemplating relaxing for a short while, there was a knock on her door and Neveah released a quiet groan.

Neveah got out of her bath pool and dried herself before pulling on a robe and heading to her door, unlocking it and pulling it open.

While Neveah had expected to see Laila who she guessed had returned with her breakfast, Neveah's heart dropped when she came face to face with Alpha King Lothaire.

"F... father..." Neveah stuttered out, as bone chilling terror gripped her, her mind reeling with various thoughts.

'What was he doing here? Why had he come? Did he know something? Was this how it would end for her?' Many thoughts flashed across Neveah's mind in a split second as she stood frozen in place.

"Move." Alpha King Lothaire demanded in a low tone that jolted Neveah back to reality as she hurriedly moved aside to let her father in.

"Morning greetings, father." Neveah quickly greeted with a low bow.

"Hmm.... I was beginning to wonder if you needed another lesson on proper etiquette." Alpha King Lothaire said in that low, terrifying tone.
