Prologue

The whole place was surrounded by a deafening silence. Darkness covering what one's eyes could visibly see, only the dim light that comes from the small lamp is what guides them to a place they think is safe. But "safe" is not even a word shown in their vocabulary.

There is no safe place for them. They live only to hide, only to survive. They are running nonstop, trying not to make any noise so that Siladus' won't notice them escaping.

"Dan, I'm tired." Selene mumbled, panting as she was lacking air.

"I know, I know, love. I am tired as well. But for the sake of our fruit, please fight your tiredness. I can feel that we are near on our temporary place to hide." Dan replied, making sure that only his wife could hear him.

The baby in the basket Dan's carrying is sleeping peacefully, knows nothing that their life is in danger. Just a good thing that she's not making any noise, or everything will go into a downfall.

They continued running, following the path that lies in front of them but abruptly stopped by the sudden explosion that occured not far from them.

They were thrown in the field of grass, the basket were the baby is remained unharmed. She was protected by Selene's power. They don't know what just happened, until they heard a familiar voice echoed behind them.

They felt goosebumps, blades clashing to each other can be heard. They already know who that person is. Just its posture and deep voice, they can already identify the snake that made them feel all the unfornate things in the world.

"Thought you can escape, huh?" He chuckled, smirk evident on his cracked lips.

"You traitor!" Selene shouted. She almost cry as the feelings she's bottling up inside her is near to be fulled.

"I know. No need to slap it in my face. It's not that hurtful at all haha!" he laughed evily. "How are you, fallen princess? Trying to escape? To run away? To hide?" he mocked.

Walking back and fort on its place, Silva's eyes never leave the couple standing, trembling in fear.

"I trusted you, because you are once my friend. How could you do this to us, Silva? Where's the promise we made to each other? huh?" she cried. She can't handle it anymore, and although she was crying, she cannot change the fact that Silva's mind was already poisoned.

"I am just doing my work, Selene. In work, there's no friendship intended. Why did you chose to turn your back against your kingdom? Are you not proud being a Maharlica?" The soldier asked. "For what? For this useless, trash Oddian? Just why, Selene?"

"Because I love him."

"Fuck that love. Your choice led you to a fruit of imperfection, Selene. The once perfect princess is now hopeless because she chose to run away with an Oddian. Hah! Where will you go now? You turn your back against us so we'll turn our back against you. Especialpy the King." Silva stated.

"I don't care anymore, Silva. I don't want any power. I just want happiness and love, and I only found it in Dan. He gave me everything my father can't. All he could think is about power and himself. Because of that, I don't care anymore. Just let us leave this place and live our life! As an old friend, Silva. I am begging you!"

"Just like what I've said, in work, there's no friendship intended. Ahh!"

Silva attacked Selene with his blazing sword, and the princess made sure to defend herself and her family against the soldier. She was trained as a professional archer, but what can she do if she had no bow and arrow?

She could only trust her powers now. But knowing Silva, he could just easily defeat her.

With just one thought in mind, she made a decision that will surely break Dan's heart. But she would still do it for the sake of their child, Loona, her angel. She promised to do everything, even sacrificing her life for the sake of their fruit. She cannot stand living knowing that the child would just get killed, so might as well sacrifice what she had to protect Loona.

"Frozo!" Selene shouted.

Suddenly, Silva was covered into thick layer of ice, but it was just temporary because he could easily melt it with his fire.

"Dan, I am sorry but we don't have much time anymore. Promise me to take care of Loona. Do it for me, do it with love, not just because you are obligated to do it. I made a choice, and I know this will.protect the both of you. I love you so much, my moon. I hope to find you in the sky on the right time." She kissed him on the lips, tasted the saltiness of their tears that was mixed together.

She broke the kiss and looked at her angel.

"My Loona, Mama won't be there anymore but this will guide you to the place where you truly belong. I know that you'll suffer for the meantime, but all of it will be temporary. Please find the right way to get back on track. I love you so much, my angel." She kissed Loona's forehead as she put the small locket inside the child's basket and looked back at Dan.

Their eyes met, and the tears kept on falling nonstop.

"Please don't do this, Selene. I can't live without you." He cried.

"You can, my love. I know you can, for the sake of our child. Please do what you promised me." After that, she took a step back and shouted "Cascillus!"

A white stallion from the spirit dimension came back into the real realm.

"Take care of them for me." she mumbled.

With Dan and Loona on her back, Cascillus ran away as fast as the lightning. Dan looked back at Selene, she fighting with Silva with the powers left she had.

What broke his heart the most is when he saw that Selene was stabbed in the heart, her body thrown lifeless in the field.

Dan cried nonstop, never looked back again and focused his sight on the front instead.

'I promise, my love. I'll protect and take care of our sunshine. I will love her with all my heart. I'll see you in the sky soon. I love you so much.' He thought.
