Chapter three

school resume to my greatest sadness. Not like I was a dumb student who constantly had bad grade, I was just not ready for resumption. I went to a great school. my parents couldn't afford sending me and my siblings to a whack school because mummy most especially believe in great education.

The whole house was lively with everyone doing one thing or the other and my mom wasn't sound proof like parents room so I could hear my siblings on the other side.

Having four children was not funny because you have to take care of each of their needs. I remember my mom saying she didn't plan on having this much, that she didn't even know how it happened and she would accompany her words with a hearty laugh. initially I didn't understand how it happened as well but after she would sit me down to tell me about these kinds of things so I knew, I found what she said pretty annoying because she had power to control it.

Regardless, I love her, dad and my many siblings through people said we were the perfect number, I still preferred fewer kids

"aren't you done?"

"almost" I said in a sing-song tone while dragging my plaid skirt to my waist level. "wait" I spun to spot my brother leaning against the door frame, his fingers running down the frame with his eyes forced steady on the movement.

" when did you start driving us to school? or do want something?" I asked

"Dad said I should start driving you all to school since I do nothing in the morning. that man always finds one way or the other to drag m out of idleness" he explained with a slight eye roll, his eyebrows raising slightly.

"he loves you that's why" I chuckled but I heard no response from him. Turning to face , I asked if I was all set to go

"am I okay" I asked him my blazer still on the bed

"is it me or have you really added flesh around your thighs or maybe it's how short your skirt seems" he said, gesturing towards my thigh.

"are you tripping?"

"what? Eww Talia, eww you hear me. tell mom to get an order for a new set of uniforms for you before you get eyes raped by the boys ". he said before walking out

I looked down at my skirt and found out it was getting short, exposing my thighs that was adding up. I slightly drag down the skirt and slipped into my blazer making a mental note to tell mom to get me a new skirt I get eye raped by the boys as my brother said as if even cared. I can't and will not let myself fall for any guy in the school.

"I noticed your brother dropped you off today " said my friend Ella by my side. I've always known her to have a thing for my brother but I find it rather disgusting and silly.

"yeah my dad made him to"

"so does that means I'll be... I mean will he be dropping you off?" she asked out of curiosity not have a clue that I knew what was going on as we made our way to our first class after morning devotion at the assembly ground.

"Ella is there anything you want to tell me ?" she half frowned and made a silly soft laugh "no no no, there's non"

"just so you know Ella, Dave is moving off to college after this term we're in".

her eyes went wide "Abroad"

"yup but we're not certain which country yet so ....." I shrugged giving her a sorry look. she nodded and I knew she wasn't alright. I felt like a bad friend not wanting her with my brother, reason being that she can be so insensitive at times and besides my brother said he didn't need any 'stupid' girlfriend or relationship at the moment so it would hurt her more knowing she didn't stand a chance.

"Talia!!!!? screamed a group of girls heading our way. A bright smile hit my face as I saw the fun girls of our class. They always made my day ever since we started to become friends.

I fell into a group hug with them but two stubborn boys joined the group hug.

"get out Justin" Evelyn, the flirty one pushed the one closest to her way.

"I've really missed you guys so much" I said as we where releasing from the hug.

"we've missed you too"

" Hi Ella "Halima waved at Ella but she was returned with a tiny hi. Ella always had problem associating with too many people but aside that, we made a pretty good team. she was extremely good with books.

I felt a light smack on my backside so I turned to spot chima looking at my back.

"this holiday really did you some good, look at my girl go" she clapped her hands and hugged me .

"warn this girl" I said, pushing my way to class

"we'll sale her off for you" replied another .
