Having Suspicions.

"YOUR KIDS? THOSE TWO?!" Garrick gasped, he somehow felt that Jade and Jasper being Ned's children was More unbelievable than Ned himself being an immortal.

"You look like that surprised yellow 'Pokenon' meme with your mouth wide open like that! Yeah they're mine." Ned responded.

"Like your kids, your kids? they came out of your..."

"My body? what did you expect Delun?"

"I genuinely thought they're your siblings.

How old are you btw? if you're not offended by the question, you look like You're still in your mid twenties." Garrick asked sipping the coffee Aroon brought him few minutes ago.

"I was 25 when I became an immortal, and if we only count the years outside my previous job that I've lived here since the 60s, I'd say I'm like 85 or something in this world's standards."

Hearing that, Garrick ended up spitting his coffee, "GOD DAMN!"

Ned blinked at Garrick in silence while he handing him a handkerchief, " I'm sorry... I'm sorry... didn't mean to overreact, you're not even that old." Garrick smiled sheepishly while apologizing as he wiped himself, his shirt was far from being saved from any coffee stains.

"Anyways Mister Delun..."

"Just Garrick would be enough."

"Okay Garrick...So... FBI huh? what a coincidence! congratulations on making the cut." Ned said impressed.

"Thank you!...Eh? hold on? what did you mean by coincidence?" Garrick asked.

"Ah! Don't worry about it! so, shouldn't you be leaving for training?"

"Ah yeah, I'm leaving tomorrow actually, early morning...so does that mean I'll take you on the date we agreed about? when I come back that is?

It should be around the first week of new years." Garrick spoke smiling.

It made Ned feel a little flustered, he couldn't Believe that out of all things that Garrick could've asked for as a compensation, he wanted to go on a date with Ned.

"Sure, however don't expect anything serious from it, I'm not looking for love at the moment, so it'll be just one simple date and we're done, sounds good Garrick?"

"Fine by me! I understand!

Oh right! you must be so busy now, right? Sorry, I must've taken so much of your time... lovely." Garrick's intrusive thoughts won, he instantly realized he slipped up when he saw Ned's pale cheeks flush red at him being called 'Lovely'.

Blushing as well, "Oh sorry! didn't mean to say that last one! I mean not that I don't mean it, You're lovely...I just...oh God...wow!...haha!" Garrick tried to explain but he ended up fumbling on his words from embarrassment, "Take a deep breath! it's fine Garrick, I know what you mean...And thanks for the compliment." Ned replied saving him.

And then Silence took over them once again, the two were just sitting there for a moment, awkwardly avoiding each other's gaze while smiling to themselves.

What just happened was embarrassing, but it was Also, Cute.

...( Meanwhile)...

While Jade was occupied packing her belongings, her phone rang somewhere, she Chose this one specific K-pop song as a ringtone for this contact so she would instantly know that it was her nerdy twin brother, calling her.

When she found her phone, Jade picked it up and answered the call.

(Phone conversation)

Jade: Sup nerd? why didn't you do a video call? I literally need my hands right now.

Jasper: stop calling me a nerd! it's outdated sister 'knuckles'! besides I'm outside the hospital, so let's make this quick.

Also you can just literally put your phone on speaker and place it near you, so you won't have to use your hands smartass!

Jade: If I can do that then why can't you do video calls Huh? Are video calls illegal when you're outside?

And btw! since you're out in the open, don't forget to touch some grass on your way inside? I can't believe you're actually going out of your room lately.

Jasper : Jade WTF focus! I'm being serious here!

Jade: Shit fine! speak up fanboy, I don't have all day to talk to ya!

Jasper: *whispering* I think you messed up big time, that Guy, Garrick...

I told you I was bringing your victim to meet Mom tonight! they're in the office together, They've been talking for a while now!

Jasper: That day you punched Garrick, you were probably blinded by your rage, so you didn't notice how fucking similar looking we are compared to that guy!

Jade: You're right I didn't take a good look at him... We're similar?

Jade: There is at least two other people... Shadow mentioned those two used to be close to Mom.

Jasper: You mean mom's ex coworker and his boyfriend? but remember what Shadow said? those two aren't allowed to help mom on dad's matter.

Jade: I know, but that Shy boyfriend he's a witch, if you go to Jihi I'm sure you'll find a way to meet him, you have to convince him to talk or at least give us a hint.... his name is Tacito right?

Jasper: Yeah, But his boyfriend Yurei... it's impossible to approach Tacito without that super-glue by his side!

Jade: We can't keep on avoiding them forever, we're about to be thrown in the same circle sooner rather than later!

Jasper: idk about this, Shadow warned us About Yurei! we're supposed to avoid him at all costs, you saw how Aroon hides himself around him...I met Yurei once and I knew right away, he's a sneaky one.

Jade: But you're sneakier, can i trust you on this one? I know you'll find a clever way around it, you always do.

Jasper: Thanks?... but I'm still doubtful, this isn't going to be simple.

Jade: You said that guy is an FBI agent right?

Jasper: Almost, he made it through the cut but he's probably going to train for those 20 or something weeks before becoming an official agent... I'll leave watching him to you then.

Jade: got it! I have to save my reputation if he turned out to be the real deal... And btw Jas, make sure he and mom don't end up having any sort of physical contact before Garrick leaves, if what we're thinking is correct, even a handshake could be a serious problem.

Jasper: I can't promise that, but I'll handle things from here, text me tomorrow okay, I'll come see you off.

Jade: Missing me already? I can hear it in your voice.

Jasper: We're twins Jade, I'll always feel like a mere half when you're not around.

Jade: AWWEEE SO CUTE!

Jasper: I'm hanging up, goodbye.

(End of phone call)

... Meanwhile...

Jasper took a deep breath smiling eventually, He decided to go back to the office to see what's going on.

But As he walked around, someone bumped into him quite forcefully, "Aroon! are you Alright?!" Jasper asked the shaken-up assistant.

"Ah Sir! yeah, I'm ok...oh no! I lost him now!"

"Lost who, Aroon?" Jasper responded looking behind him but saw nothing in particular that was out of the ordinary.

"That guy in the dark hoodie and mask I was following...he was so familiar i felt like I know him from somewhere!...earlier when sir Delun first came here, that man was suspiciously following him around.

Since the man lingered here, he must've been stalking Sir Delun all along."

"You saw him too? The masked stalker? damn, that's already bad news." Jasper spoke still looking around, Aroon wasn't the only one who noticed the hooded man, Jasper actually saw someone matching that description outside, he passed by him when he went outside to call Jade.

Aroon's frightened face didn't make the situation any better.

"There's something else you wanna say Aroon?"

"The dark Aura around the masked man was Suffocating, he definitely deals with dark magic...A lot."

"How strong do you think he is Aroon, compared to you?"

"I don't think We are that far from each other, but he's definitely stronger than me...I can tell he's already given up to the temptations of dark magic, it is hard to turn back from that sort of power...once you start feeling greedy, nothing will subdue that feeling."

"Someone like this roaming around Garrick? I think we should warn him at least, and Mom too...Let's go!"

Patting the assistant's shoulder, Jasper and Aroon hurried up to Ned's office.

....Few moments later....

"COME IN?" Ned spoke from inside, "Oh! did Sir Delun leave already?" Aroon immediately asked as he and Jasper walked inside the office.

"Garrick was here literally a minute ago, he's probably on his way to the parking lot as we speak...why? did something happen?" Ned Asked.

"We believe someone suspicious is stalking him in the hospital, it's obvious that the stalker came all the way here, just to follow Garrick around." Jasper answered with a worried tone.

"The man is the same height a you Master, Medium-tan and dressed in all black clothes, he wore a hoodie and sneakers.

And also, he had a black face-mask on." Aroon said describing the stalker.

Without hesitation, Ned stood up and walked away from his desk, "Where are you going Mom?" Jasper asked.

"I need you two to check security cameras just in case, I'll go after Garrick myself...I forgot I gave him my handkerchief earlier anyways." Ned replied exiting his office.

Since he doesn't like elevators, it took Ned a while to make it to the parking lot by taking the stairs, and just like he expected, Garrick hasn't left yet.

Ned continued walking towards him, watching as the hooded man Aroon described was loudly Arguing with Garrick.

The stalker had already removed his mask and hood from his face at this point.

"Please, I blocked you on every possible platform...what would it take for you to finally understand No means No?!

I never wanted this relationship to begin with! I don't want to see you again, so please go!" Garrick's desperate pleas to get his angry stalker to leave, were obviously failing since the stalker didn't budge an inch.

With his Curly short black hair and somewhat pretty face, the stalker turned to face Ned, he was confused of who Ned was and why he was approaching them.

The stalker's angry deep brown eyes met Ned's curious ones, And soon enough Ned realized that those eyes were unwelcoming of his presence.
