The Journey of the Dead (2)

As I now witnessed, these undead followed my every command, however the real dilemma was on how practically and efficiently they can follow these commands.

I decided to test their capabilities out. Glancing around I spotted what seemed to be training grounds. Then, I coldly ordered, "Go to the training grounds."

However the undead did not seem to understand my command and simply entered a confused state.

Quickly, I said, "Follow me." And the undead simply followed. I walked into the training grounds and then told them.

"This specific area with these specific details entailing to its interior is called a training ground. Remember that."

I decided to test out if they could remember, have memory.

"Follow me again."

I walked to where I previously stood and the undead followed, then i quickly ordered.

"Go to the training grounds."

Then, the undead subordinates quickly rushed to the training grounds, spreading out and adopting what seemed to be a perceptive stance, ready for any danger.

'Woah... these guys are better than I thought.'

And then- a deafening scream roared from inside me

*PYAAAAAAAAHHGGGGKKK*

The black substance roared as if it was an infant baby, but that infant baby possessed tremendous strength, then, as if it was being pulled put, it unwillingly left my body.

'Oh? I thought that thing was going to stay there longer. Seems like I was wrong. Perhaps that being called Death could only grant temporary power. After all, that black substance didn't seem mine, but yet again it seemed mine... it was really odd, but alas, that was a matter for another day.'

Then, I activated what seemed to be an information window with one more difference added.

"Avicta."

Hm, seems like the censored information is gone but... don't I seem pretty weak? Well, I guess my main strength is my Subordinates. After all even an elephant can't defeat a thousand dogs. Although personal power is really tempting, sometimes there are forces you can't overcome with power alone. You need allies. Well... in my case they're more like slaves.

But, this is really annoying. What am I supposed to call myself, what are other people supposed to call me even? I told myself my old name doesn't matter, and it really doesn't but... this is simply impractical.

Then as I was about to further voice my complaints, something appeared.

{Death notices your peril and decides to leave you with one last gift, it shall bestow you the name of its first child.}

A blackish grey window appeared in front of me, with fancy black lining that shined and what seemed to be words made out of a black smoke and bones.

{Death bestow you the name of 'Luciel', its first beloved child who has perished. Do you accept the bestowed name and pledge your soul to honour Luciel's name?}

I thought for a bit, then I accepted. I mean, what wrong could come from accepting a name?

"I accept."

{Death blesses you, child, one who bears Luciel The Fallen's name.}

*Whoosh*

Soon, black smoke seemed to exhale from my pores as it surroundend me, forming into what seemed a drill and forcing itself into my mind, ehich gave me quite a bit if pain, although uncomparable to the one I experienced when coming here.

[You have been bestowed a h...o...l...- name, by a d...e-e-e...mo----, an unknown being. You have pledged to honor the name, You shall now be knows as Luciel, The Fallen.]

My name had been bestowed. A refreshing feeling came upon me as all previous worry and uncomfort disappeared, as if I was held by my mother's arms. However soon, I could feel the dread and anguish that came along with the name. Unholy wrath and what seemed to be regret inhabited every cell of my body. I wanted to tear apart this world, this entire universe, I felt as if I had the power to do so but something was restricting me... then, the wrath and regret at every being on this planet soon washed away, leaving me in disarray and surprise.

"What... just what is this rage..? It felt as if every being in existence had wronged every part of me. I felt regret that I couldn't tear this entire world apart... is this what the previous owner of the name felt before he perished..? What a scary being..." however, despite those words I understood, I could feel that same rage relate to mine, when I found my sweet daughter laying lifeless in front of me... I could feel it, my anger was swelling up, looking at something to lash out to, alas, no enemies were in my sight, otherwise I would have rushed like a mindless beast, with my subordinates to kill them. I had to calm down. Rage wouldn't get me my daughter back. Only my powers will... perhaps, just maybe these powers can help me bring her back.

After some time, I snapped out of my deep thought, thinking about what I should do next, well, that was obvious. I had to get information, food, water, or any type of currency in this world to survive. Of course, the only place I could get these at was civilization. And so, woud begin my terror upon the governments of this world.
