Something changed in her

"I see. I pray for a safe journey." Natasha said and the woman smiled. "Mrs Anders and Mrs Ford, it was a pleasure meeting you both here," Natasha said, dismissing them without being direct.

"Likewise, Miss Wallace, we won't take your time anymore." Amethy Anders said and looked at Selena, telling her that they should leave the younger woman alone.

"It was nice meeting and speaking with you Miss Wallace," Selena said and picked up her handbag that was sitting beside her and stood up.

Amethy did the same and they turned to leave after giving another glance at Natasha was remained seated. "Give my warmest regards to your husbands," Natasha said and the women smiled at her.

"We will Miss Wallace," Amethy said on behalf of them both. They left and the smile on Natasha's face faltered. These women looked innocent. From their words and the concern for her in their eyes, she could tell that they were not involved with whatever happened between their husbands and Nigel and they will be widowed soon.

But there was nothing that she could do for them at this point, her parents were also innocent yet they suffered a fate that was never theirs. Those men and women involved should have thought about the consequences of their actions and their reactive families before executing their scheme.

After spending a bit more time shopping, she left the mall and headed back home. Her new home.

"Have a nice day, ma'am, Meeting the wives of those nasty and cold men ruined her day. The thought of other people like her losing their loved ones made her resolve to shudder but it was all gone when she remembered what Reaper had told her, 'There was no going back'.

At the Ariz City police station, Detective Jones place a file in front of his supervising officer, Lieutenant Moore. He pulled a chair in front of him and sat down and the two men stared at each other without speaking for some time.

"What's this?" Moore asked and picked up the file on the desk. He flipped the pages and a frown appeared on his face. He saw photos f three dead men. One of them had a severed head. He then briefly scanned through the report written below and on the next pages, his grew got deeper.

"That happened last night, at another club," Jones informed him. " There have been deaths at clubs before, but never had they been in the state in which they have been appearing lately."

"What do you mean?" Moor asked, his eyes narrowed at the papers in his hand as he tried to pick up every detail in it.

"The doctors can't explain how the other two died, their bodies seemed to be in perfect condition, yet they died just like that, and one hard his had chopped off." Detective Jones pointed out.

"If they were in perfect condition then, how and what killed them? " Moore asked and placed the file back down on the desk.

"That is what we need to find out, Lieutenant and why you need to reopen the previous case, I believe that there are connected. " Detective Jones said. He was not happy when the case was closed because they got into a dead end. He would have let it go if something similar had not happened again.

But now that it did, he was letting it go and he will pursue it till the end and finds out who is killing them. Whoever the person was good at what they do, leaving no clues or ways to be traced back to them.

"You think it is related? Inspector Moore asked. He intertwined his fingers and placed his elbows on the desk. "What if it is not, Jones, then what?"

"Then we still get to catch a criminal. Related or not, a criminal is still a criminal, inspector." Jones said and they started at each other. He didn't know why the inspector had used these before when it was even solved. They were only given a day to investigate the crime scene of the last murder and he just closed it. With explanation or reason.

"How long do you think it will take to solve this case?" Moore finally released and asked. His interest and curiosity were piqued when he saw the other two men whose cause of death could not be explained. If they were killed by the same person, then, they should be something on them to show that they were killed. Grown men wouldn't just stop breathing without a cause and even if they did, the autopsy should have stayed that they die due to suffocation or something of that sorry but there was nothing like that.

"I am not sure, sir," Detective Jones said. "But I will do be as quick as possible."

"Good, because you have other cases awaiting your attention too." Inspector Moore said. He took a file from a drawer beside him, filled it and signed before giving it to Jones, that is all you will need to continue with the case."

"Understood, Sir," He said and stood up taking the file in his hand. " I will take my leave now, do have a good day. "

Some were else in Ariz City,

Amethy got home and found her husband standing by the window the same way he was standing when she found him out of bed last night. His expression was serious and a deep frown settled on his face.

"You didn't go to work today?" She asked because it was very unlike him to stay home while others went to work.

"I thought to stay home a little, just today." He replied and walked to peck her cheek. The woman nods and walked over to the couch and sat down.

"I met Miss Wallace at the mall today," she informed. Patrick turned tense at the mention of Natasha. But before she could see his tensed expression, he relaxed his shoulder and his expression turned gentle.

"How was she?" He asked walking to sit next to her on the couch.

Amethy took off her shoe and kept it beside her feet before looking up at him. "She looked good, as simple as always." She said with a smile and the man nodded his head. "But there was something different about that I am not able to put a finger on, " She with a thoughtful look. She then shrugged her shoulders, "She has been through a lot, so I guess a little change is not bad and she looks a lot stronger and seems independent."

Mr Anders listens to his wife but said nothing the whole time. He knew exactly what has changed in the pure and innocent Natasha, but she was right, what she went through was what changed her.
