Kiyoshi felt as if he were in a blissful dream.
In this dream, he was lying on a soft, cushiony surface, rolling lazily from side to side.
Faintly, he saw a beautiful woman, whose radiance held him captive, making him reluctant to wake up.
But, as with all dreams, the moment of waking was inevitable.
"Ugh..." That moment came when Kiyoshi slowly opened his eyes.
He immediately felt a deep ache all over his body.
And then—
He found himself facing two towering mountains.
Above these mountains was a pretty but slightly angry face, tinged with a rosy blush.
With a fierce glare, the face demanded, "Hey, kid, have you rubbed up enough?"
"Tsunade-sensei?"
Kiyoshi's eyes widened in shock.
It took him a second to come back to reality.
Bam!
In the next instant, he was sent flying, slamming into the wall.
The embarrassed, fuming Tsunade clenched her teeth, her finger still extended in a flicking gesture.
"You little pervert..." she scolded, glaring at Kiyoshi, who was now sprawled on the floor with a dazed expression and dust on his face.
"You've barely healed, and you're already causing trouble! Even in your sleep."
"Huh?"
Kiyoshi looked back at her, bewildered.
His gaze instinctively drifted downward.
The heavy mountains on Tsunade's chest seemed almost monumental.
But feeling her intense, fiery glare, Kiyoshi immediately felt a chill down his spine.
Realizing what had happened, he discreetly wiped the glint of drool from the corner of his mouth.
Scratching his head, he acted as if nothing was amiss. "Tsunade-sensei, did something happen?"
Though inside, he couldn't help but savor the memory.
It was as pure and natural as one could imagine.
"Kiyoshi, you're finally awake."
Just then, Shizune entered the room.
Beside her, a small pink pig trotted up, showing its concern for him. "Oink-Oink~~~"
"I'm alright, just overdid it with the chakra yesterday and blacked out," Kiyoshi reassured them, patting Ton-ton's head.
Recalling the events of the previous day, he remembered that he had exhausted himself to the point of fainting.
"When we found you yesterday, you were covered in blood, lying unconscious. You gave us a huge scare…" Shizune clutched her chest in relief, clearly still shaken.
"Even Lady Tsunade's hemophobia acted up."
"Tsunade-sensei's fear of blood?" Kiyoshi turned his gaze to Tsunade.
"It's nothing. Though I was a bit shocked, it ended up helping me overcome it."
Tsunade adjusted her clothing and walked over.
She shot Kiyoshi a stern look but didn't reproach him for his earlier slip.
Her eyes held a serious expression as she studied him. "So, what happened yesterday? Who did this to you?"
"And why does it look like you've been hit with a massive punch?"
"Uh…" Kiyoshi scratched his head, looking embarrassed. "You misunderstood. No one attacked me. I injured myself."
He hadn't expected Tsunade's hemophobia to flare up because of him.
But judging from her words, it sounded like her fear of blood had miraculously been cured?
"You injured yourself?"
Tsunade and Shizune stared at him in disbelief.
Clenching her fists, Tsunade glared at him. "Explain yourself. Now."
"I was training in taijutsu, and I thought I'd test myself by fighting with two Wood Clones. That's how I ended up getting injured."
Kiyoshi shrugged nonchalantly.
He didn't plan on hiding anything from them.
After all, he could trust Tsunade and Shizune completely.
He would need their help with his future training, and with strong opponents still present in the ninja world, Kiyoshi knew he couldn't afford to hold back.
Unless, of course, some lurking Otsutsuki decided to make an appearance.
"Seriously, kid…"
Tsunade looked exasperated.
She nearly slapped him then and there.
Yesterday, seeing him lying in a pool of his own blood, she and Shizune had feared the worst.
Who would have thought he'd done it to himself?
"Kiyoshi, you really took things too far."
Shizune was speechless.
To let his own clone beat him up to this extent.
Kiyoshi had to be the only one in the entire shinobi world who would go this far.
Still, to spar with his own Wood Clones?
It was an idea as wild as it was inventive.
"Brat, you're really pushing the limits," Tsunade sighed, tapping him sharply on the forehead.
Tsunade eyed him with exasperation. "To be hurt this badly, did you really have multiple Wood Clones fighting you?"
"Not too many, just two." Kiyoshi shrugged again.
"Just two?"
Tsunade's eyes narrowed in understanding.
As the granddaughter of Hashirama, she knew a thing or two about Wood Release.
"The Wood Clone Jutsu is more solid than the Shadow Clone. Given enough chakra, its taijutsu can be just as powerful as the original's. No wonder you ended up like this."
Shizune, standing nearby, was lost for words.
She gazed at Kiyoshi with a hint of irritation.
After all, they had been so worried about him the day before.
And it turned out to be self-inflicted.
"So, the room should've been in shambles with all those punches—unless you went outside the village to train?"
"No, I used my Mangekyo Sharingan's ability to open an alternate dimension."
Kiyoshi shrugged.
He decided it was time to reveal his Sharingan to Tsunade.
Better to avoid any misunderstandings down the line.
"Mangekyo Sharingan?"
"Alternate dimension?"
Hearing this, both Shizune and Tsunade's eyes widened in shock.
They stared at him, incredulous. "Kiyoshi, you have the Mangekyo Sharingan?"
"What's going on?"
Taking a deep breath, Tsunade looked at Kiyoshi seriously.
Despite his young age, he was mature beyond his years and not someone to joke about such matters.
"It's like this," Kiyoshi began, "I noticed that my Wood Release abilities seem… unique, different from the First Hokage's in some ways."
"Unique?" Tsunade frowned.
She studied Kiyoshi intently, her tone grave. "Yes, I've noticed that, too. You don't even need hand seals to use Wood Release.
But even so, that doesn't mean you would have Uchiha blood. Unless one of your parents or close ancestors was an Uchiha?"
She knew this wasn't possible.
Without Uchiha blood, someone who transplanted a Sharingan couldn't deactivate it.
Just like Kakashi, whose inability to deactivate his Sharingan had earned him the title "Copy Ninja" but at the cost of constant chakra drain, a heavy burden.
This meant Kiyoshi's Sharingan wasn't from an implant.
As far as she knew, both Kiyoshi's mother and father were ordinary ninjas, not Uchihas.
Could it be that a distant ancestor carried the Uchiha blood?
"No, that's not it."
Kiyoshi replied, deciding not to hide the truth any longer.
"But I can use my Wood Release to absorb, even drain chakra from others and turn it into nourishment for myself."
"And if I get their blood, I can merge their hidden genes into my own, even copying and taking their Kekkei Genkai."
As he said this, he closed his eyes.
When he opened them again, his eyes had turned red.
"What!?"
"Is that… the Sharingan?."
Seeing the red Sharingan in his eyes, Tsunade and Shizune froze in shock.
They couldn't help but shiver, a chill running down their spines.
This was an incredible, terrifying ability.
He could copy and steal even others' bloodline abilities.
"So, your Sharingan awakened on its own after you integrated Uchiha blood?"
Tsunade took a deep breath, trying to remain composed as she looked Kiyoshi directly in the eyes.
"Two years ago, while practicing medical ninjutsu by catching fish at the Naka River, I happened to come across Uchiha Shisui's body.
I noticed, though, that his eyes had already been taken by someone.
Then, using my Wood Release, I absorbed a bit of his chakra, and accidentally ended up absorbing a bit of his flesh as well..."
Kiyoshi didn't hold anything back, explaining, "Later that night, I suddenly felt my eyes burning, and that's when I realized I had awakened the Sharingan. It was then I discovered my Wood Release was somewhat unique."
"Then, after Azumi passed away, you were emotionally shaken and awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan?" Tsunade raised an eyebrow, asking directly.
She had once heard her granduncle mention it: the Uchiha's Sharingan evolves through intense emotional stimuli.
However, because of this, many Uchiha clan members experience drastic changes in personality, becoming increasingly extreme.
"Not quite…" Kiyoshi sighed, continuing, "Actually, on the night of the Uchiha Massacre, my curiosity got the best of me, so I secretly sent a Wood Clone to gather intel.
Thanks to its ability to infiltrate undetected, it managed to slip into the Uchiha clan's territory."
"You little brat..." Tsunade's mouth twitched slightly.
She had warned him to stay out of it. Yet, this brat had the guts to send a clone into the Uchiha clan's compound.
If the higher-ups had discovered this, it could have led to serious trouble.
"So, Kiyoshi, you actually know what really happened to the Uchiha clan?" Tsunade crossed her arms, her expression calm as she asked.
"Kiyoshi, what exactly was the truth of that night?" Shizune, looking at the red Sharingan in Kiyoshi's eyes, couldn't hold back her curiosity and asked.
"Was it really Uchiha Itachi who slaughtered the entire clan?"
Although Shizune was young, she had traveled far and wide with Tsunade and had seen her fair share of things.
As for the truth the village leaders had provided, she found it hard to believe completely.
"My Wood Clone arrived just in time to witness Itachi slaughtering his clan. I also noticed Danzo Shimura's men from Root sneaking around, gathering the Sharingan from the Uchiha clan members."
Kiyoshi shrugged, weaving a story that was half-truth, half-lie.
"But Itachi's actions were actually instructed by Danzo. As long as he agreed to eliminate the other Uchihas, he'd be allowed to spare his younger brother, Uchiha Sasuke."
"So, I didn't hesitate to step in before Root could, and I managed to collect a few Sharingan for myself."
"Not only that, I also took the opportunity to raid the Uchiha clan's library, taking some of their stored ninjutsu scrolls with me."
