Chapter 70 - Sealing Chakra viens
As Mahoraga continued battling Anakouzanu, their fight escalating with every passing moment, I realized that I had to take advantage of this window. Mahoraga had adapted enough to endure Anakouzanu's deadly blows, buying me just enough time to do what needed to be done. I took a deep breath, steeling myself for the next part of the plan.
I quickly formed a series of hand signs, focusing my chakra. My clones were already in place, keeping an eye on the battle above as Mahoraga and Anakouzanu clashed like titans. The ground trembled beneath their blows, but I couldn't waste any more time.
'This is my only chance,' I thought. 'I have to seal the Dragon Veins before Anakouzanu can heal himself again.'
With one final glance at the ongoing fight, I dashed toward the entrance of the underground chamber where the Dragon Veins flowed. The air around me was thick with the residual energy of the veins, a pulsating force that was both ancient and powerful. I could feel the chakra radiating from the earth below, its raw strength surging through the veins like a powerful river.
The underground passage was dimly lit, the walls trembling slightly from the battle above. My heart raced as I navigated the maze-like tunnels, using my heightened senses to guide me toward the source of the Dragon Veins. The deeper I went, the stronger the chakra became. It was like walking into the very core of the earth itself.
Finally, I reached the chamber where the Dragon Veins converged. The sight was awe-inspiring—an enormous network of glowing blue energy lines crisscrossed beneath the ground, pulsating with life. The veins snaked through the earth like giant roots, their power feeding into Anakouzanu's immortality.
'This is it,' I thought, my eyes narrowing as I took in the scene. 'If I can seal these veins, Anakouzanu's endless healing will stop.'
[Ding !!]
[Do, host wants to get the chakra sealing method]
'Yes', I shouted in my mind.
A warm feeling filled my body, and a hint of memory formed in my mind.
I quickly began forming the necessary seals to close off the veins, focusing all my chakra into the process. The energy of the Dragon Veins surged around me, trying to resist my efforts, but I couldn't let it deter me. My hands moved swiftly, the seals glowing with a faint light as I channeled my chakra into the earth.
Just as I was finishing the last hand sign, a powerful rumble shook the entire chamber. Dirt and rocks fell from the ceiling, and I could feel Anakouzanu's immense presence drawing nearer. He must have sensed what I was doing.
'Come on, come on,' I urged myself, pushing more chakra into the seals. 'I just need a few more seconds!'
The ground beneath me trembled violently as I completed the final hand sign. A pulse of chakra shot out from my hands and into the Dragon Veins, the energy of the earth responding to my command. The veins began to glow brighter for a moment, and then, slowly, they started to dim.
The flow of chakra within the veins slowed to a crawl, then stopped completely. The once-pulsating lines of energy went dark, sealing Anakouzanu's connection to the Dragon Veins.
"It's done," I whispered to myself, feeling the immense weight lift from my shoulders. Without the Dragon Veins, Anakouzanu would no longer be able to heal indefinitely.
But I couldn't rest yet. The battle above still raged, and now that the veins were sealed, I had to make sure Anakouzanu was finished for good.
I sprinted back through the underground passage, my mind racing as I thought of what lay ahead. The moment I emerged back into the battlefield, I could see that Anakouzanu was already struggling. His body was slower to heal, the gaps and cracks in his metallic form no longer closing as quickly as before. Mahoraga, still adapting, landed blow after blow, wearing him down further.
Anakouzanu's red eyes flickered as he realized something was wrong. "What... what have you done?!" he roared, his voice filled with fury and desperation.
I grinned as I stood at the edge of the battlefield. "I've sealed the Dragon Veins," I said, my voice carrying across the battlefield. "You're not immortal anymore, Anakouzanu. This fight ends here."
Mahoraga, sensing the shift in the battle, redoubled his efforts. He swung his massive fists, each strike sending shockwaves through Anakouzanu's crumbling form. The puppet lord's once-invincible body was now nothing more than a fragile shell.
Anakouzanu staggered backward, his metal frame falling apart with each hit. "No... this can't be... I am a god!" he screamed, his voice filled with panic.
"Not anymore," I said, stepping forward. "Now, you're just another enemy standing in my way."
