Chapter .19 Cursed immortality

Danzo's eyes widened in shock as he realized that his devious plans had been uncovered. He struggled against the barrier, but it was no use. Uzame's words echoed in his mind as he came to terms with the fact that he had been caught. His mind raced as he tried to think of a way out of this situation, but the barrier remained unyielding.

The Uchiha clan was consumed by rage and anger, their eyes blazing with the power of their Sharingan as they witnessed Danzo using their clan's kekkei genkai for his benefit. The three tomoe in their eyes seemed to pulse with an incredible amount of chakra. The Hokage hesitated to intervene, as one of his ANBU members emanated a menacing aura as if he desired nothing more than to incinerate Danzo on the spot, tears of blood streaming from his eyes.

"Please, everyone, remain calm. He will be held accountable for his actions and will strive to make amends. Merely executing him won't bring resolution. We must demonstrate that unjust punishment is not the solution. He will face the consequences for his crimes. Let this serve as a warning to anyone considering evading justice - they will be identified and held accountable," Uzume said, releasing a comforting aura to soothe everyone's spirits.

"Uchiha's sacrifice will not go in vain, as they will be rewarded with the new power that was promised to them. Uchiha Fugaku, Uchiha Itachi, and Uchiha Shisui are to come and see me in the hospital, where I will stabilize the power of your Sharingan after the meeting ends." The Uchiha were taken aback by her knowledge of their abilities and her solution to the blindness that followed. As Uzume's words soothed their fears and anger, they began to quiet down, reading between the lines. People nodded in agreement, understanding that justice must prevail, but it must also be fair and just.

As the realization set in, Danzo knew that he would have to face the repercussions of his actions. But he was not ready to give up just yet. With determination in his eyes, he started to formulate a new plan to escape from the barrier and prove his 'innocence'.

"You didn't think that I would come here to listen to the bickering of the old men, did you?" Danzo knew that he had to act fast before Uzame and the others had a chance to execute their punishment. "How does it feel to deliver yourself to the doors of death?" Focusing on his chakra, Danzo began to search for weak points in the barrier, looking for any opportunity to break free.

With each passing moment, Danzo could feel the tension building as he focused all his energy on finding a way out. Sweat beaded on his forehead as he silently cursed himself for not being more prepared for this situation.

Meanwhile, Uzame watched Danzo's futile attempts with a steely gaze, showing no sign of wavering in her decision. She had made it her mission to ensure that the traitor faced the consequences of his actions, and she was not about to let him slip through her fingers.

"I believe I have witnessed enough. It is now time for you to face the consequences." seeing him attempting to use Izanagi to escape, only to fail. Uzume asserted with authority. She inquired of Danzo out of genuine curiosity, "Do you even understand the power of the Sharingan, given that you have taken so many for your selfish means of cheating death? And where did you obtain that arm for implanting so many Sharingans?"

Danzo remained silent, a flicker of defiance in his eyes as he stared back at Uzume. But deep down, he knew that his time was up. The truth of his actions had finally caught up with him, and there was no escaping it now.

Danzo's implanted arm vanished with a snap, only to reappear in Uzume's hand, complete with the Sharingan in his right socket. All the Sharingan were carefully gathered and stored in a glass jar filled with liquid to maintain their integrity. Upon close examination of the arm, Uzume remarked, "This arm is a creation of Orochimaru, and he even went as far as to implant the Sharingan. To ensure their functionality, he utilized Hashirama's cells. The Sharingan is too powerful for any shinobi outside of the Uchiha bloodline; it would only serve as a hindrance to their potential."

Danzo's eyes filled with dread as he watched his arm being confiscated and his plans unravelling before him. He knew that his fate was sealed, and there was no hope of escape. Uzume's words and actions only served to reinforce the gravity of his crimes, and he felt a heavy sense of defeat wash over him.

Uzume crafted a seal in the air that enveloped Danzo within the barrier where he was confined. As soon as it took effect, he sensed the absence of chakra coursing through him, leaving him feeling uncharacteristically weak and in pain all over. "I've sealed your chakra. Without it, even minor battle wounds will ache because shinobi rely on chakra to fortify their bodies and numb the pain," Uzume explained to Danzo, noting the bewilderment on his face.

It was common knowledge that a criminal shinobi's chakra would be sealed before being sent to prison, but the method used by Uzume came as a surprise. No one had ever seen a sealing like this before, and when they heard about its effects, they were left in awe. "You sought to escape death, and now you have achieved immortality. You will heal and regenerate from any injury, be it a cut, burn, or even complete incineration. You will spend the next century making amends to every citizen of Konoha, and only then will you find release from your eternal life."

"Just to demonstrate," Uzume asked Itachi, "Itachi, use your new ability to burn him." Without a moment's hesitation, everyone in the room heard him say "Amaterasu." His right eye transformed into a swirling pattern as black flames consumed Danzo entirely. Despite his piercing screams, a barrier muffled all sounds. Danzo was reduced to ashes, with nothing remaining. Then, after a few moments, his body began to regenerate until Danzo stood before them, missing his right arm and eye, just to remind everyone of his crime, with his clothes intact.
