Chapter 62 - Virtual Reality Done?

A few days later after suppressing the One Tail and completing the mission. Kagami and Mira returned to the village and just briefly mentioned the incident to Hiruzen. Neither felt it was a big deal and just mentioned that the young jinchuriki might be unstable. Since Kagami briefly mentioned the Fourth Kazekage training method.

Yeah, both Kagami and Mira overheard many civilians chatting about it when leaving. The man training method isn't as secret since one of the more extreme elders threw a tantrum. So it should be soon inspected more in depth, but not much will come of it.

While it is information about Sunagakure, it is just another mark in the other village files on them. So while it is quite widely known now or at least spreading. It will die down and most will forget, but the village marks it and could use it to blackmail the village in the future. It is a simple but crude check and balance system one could say.

Now currently inside the laboratory, Kagami was watching a screen with Mira who was hooked up to various wires. Only unlike him, she had a pair of goggles that looked like sunglasses on and wasn't staring at the screen.

On the screen, an avatar of Mira was jumping around battling enemies. Enemies Kagami modeled after the White Zetsu sixty to seventy degrees. While he would like to just copy their actual appearance, he hasn't even seen one with his own eyes. Not to mention he doesn't want Black Zetsu beginning his plan early.

"You got this Mama!"

"Of course. Mother is second to Father."

Pretending not to hear the cheering squad composed of two nine tails. Kagami just monitored virtual reality and the hardware. Compared to the previous times and even the first time trying it. The virtual reality is running far smoother and now even as the scene was swamped in chaos. The hardware he made is still running at low capacity telling him that it can now handle more people at once.

However, even if it was fairly completed, Kagami who wanted to introduce it to Hiruzen decided to hold off for the time being. While out delivering the papers, it seems that Danzo made a move and Shisui is dead. Thus, making the Uchiha Countdown tick much faster.

'It seems both I and Mira will be busy trying to savage this situation.' Kagami thought as watched Mira complete the level.

Did he regret extending Danzo's life to do such an act? Not really for someone as greedy as Danzo who wants to become the Hokage. He probably wouldn't hesitate to use Orochimaru jutsu that allows him to gain a new body. All to become Hokage and make his dreams true before passing on if at all.

While he and Mira may ignore Danzo combat abilities and skills. He was truly a fairly talented person given that he wore down Sasuke in the series. So if Danzo really did use Orochimaru jutsu to transfer bodies and one that is skilled enough. Many would have a difficult time fighting him.

"So how did I do?" Mira asked, getting up and removing the wires.

"Did pretty well I supposed. I think besides a few Jonin, most will have trouble getting even half your score." Kagami answered as it displayed on the screen.

While he did say it was a mission in virtual reality, truthfully it was just an endless wave of enemies. Each wave or round, more enemies appear stronger and smarter per say as they learn from the previous round. However, when one finishes, the data is wiped for the next round.

"Still, I don't know why you added the naked brutality mode." Mira grumbled. "Do you know how embarrassing it was to load in and not have anything, not even clothes?"

"Difficulty, but don't worry if the Hokage agrees to my idea to open this up to others. I make sure that difficulty isn't displayed for others." Kagami winked at her.

Mira just gave him an emotionless stare before rolling her eyes at him. However, at the corner of her lips, it curled up a bit. As he was right, that difficulty was far harder than the others since she basically could only use her brain and what she finds in the level.

"You did well Mother. Father commented that you have a nice butt once or twice." Asura interrupted with a glint of mischief.

"Really?" Mira raised an eyebrow at him.

Kagami hesitated for a moment thinking about how to save himself. If he agreed it basically saying he was watching her butt most of the time, which he was, but that's beside the point. The other is if he says no, Mira might feel sad which is something he doesn't want.

"Maybe I did, maybe I didn't. What will you do about it?" Kagami asked with the best smile he had.

"Oh, I think I got an idea." Mira said.

Moments later, Asura and Kōsetsu were kicked out of the place. Which was followed by Mira who had slightly disheveled clothes and a bright grin as she skipped away thirty minutes later.

A few days later in the Hokage Office, Kagami stood before Hiruzen.

"What safety measure do you have in place so the other villages won't copy or build their own?" Hiruzen asked.

Before him was a packet of papers detailing Kagami plans to implement Virtual Reality to the Village. Kagami thought it over and decided to push a head a bit and knew it would take a few months before it truly could open. Mainly due to him having to build the place where the virtual reality will be open for the public.

"Well unless they can jump eighty years worth of time in technology progression. The chances of them building their own is slim. Not to mention most of the parts required to create this are made by me." Kagami answered.

"How well does it work?" Hiruzen nodded and moved on to the next question.

"Mira has shown quite a bit of improvement as the device helped her discover her weakness and is now working towards fixing it during training." Kagami answered. "I will warn though, I theorized long exposure to virtual reality will blur one perception of the world."

Hiruzen nodded as he flipped the paper and noticed a few other warnings included. After reading over them, he moved on as nothing truthful life threatening was listed. Well unless one spends way too much time with virtual reality in one go.

After checking the packet once more and the goals Kagami wanted to achieve with it. Hiruzen decided to approve it as it benefited the village and much more the shinobi under his command.
