Obito vs Shirou

"....."

'Ughh this is too much to handle before the morning coffee.' I thought as I watched Obito chase Kakashi around the field while calling him things like "Bastard", "Turd", etc. Whereas Kakashi effortlessly dodged him.....I had been watching this happen ever since I got here.

He had the same bored and lazy expression on his face but he was definitely enjoying this.

"Are they always like this?" I asked Rin to which she responded with a dry laugh while scratching her cheek.

'Haah I can't take this anymore.'

"Tell me when Minato-Sensei gets here ok?" I told Rin and moved away from the group.

"Hmm? Where are you going?" Rin asked

"To rest" I said and walked towards a tree far enough so that I stop hearing Obito.

I sat under it's shade and sat in the lotus position and started performing my force control.

It was still half an hour till the meeting time. We all got here an hour early to get to know each other because we will most probably be given an assignment by sensei to improve our team work.....it was Rin's idea.

And because of this idea, I had to wake up earlier than I had planned which was to wake up like 10-20 mins before the meet. grab a quick breakfast on the way and then rush here. A perfect plan.

Which is now ruined of course. And since I got up early, I had to go back home and cook myself breakfast since there was no restaurant open at that time because today is Sunday. And since I am not a very good cook, the breakfast wasn't nearly as good as I had wished for and on top of that I was out of coffee and couldn't buy it because, well again shops were closed at that time.

Anyway, aside from that, I woke up completely healed. So, now I can properly train for the first time in a while.

My goal for now is to solely focus on my basics and improving my chakra reserves as well as to increase my proficiency in my scanning and projection ability. I can leave the rest of the projects I have in mind for later.

'I wonder if I can project Minato's special Kunais with the teleportation formula engraved on it...Probably not. Since I need to understand the very internal structure and increase my understanding of the item I want to project but it doesn't hurt to try.'

I continued thinking about these things while still doing the force control which is as easy as breathing to me now and I can do it 24/7 if I want but it will become too easy for others to sense my chakra if I do that. Anyway, like I said I continued thinking about these things until I heard Rin shouting at me to come back.

I immediately appeared beside her which surprised her but it was really fun for me though. She got a little mad at this and surely wanted to say something but Minato was already here and also in a serious mood so she didn't say anything and caused any ruckus not that she would have anyway. But....

"Alright now that every--"

"HEY! Who the hell is this!!"

'There is a person here who doesn't think before he speaks.'

There was a tick mark on Minato Sensei's face this time. Which is a first for me, I thought that he was always a gentle creature except the times he is dealing with his enemies. Sometimes even while fighting enemies.

'Wait Should I be concerned about that? This guy kills people with a gentle smile on his face. '

'Nah, there are way too many more fucked up ninjas in this world.'

"Obito!! Speak only when you are told to!" Minato said.

He didn't exactly yelled but anger was clearly reflected in his tone.

This made even Obito shut up. I guess even these guys have never seen Sensei in a serious mood.

"For now all you need to know is that from now on, he is part of our team and that I expect all of you to operate as proper teammates because we need to leave for a very important mission in a week."

"I have called you all here to get used to each other's fighting style and develop your teamwork. Got it??" Sensei said

We all gave a nod.

Well, almost all of us.

"What?! when did that happen?" He then looked at Rin and Kakashi and asked, "And why are you two okay with letting this pipsqueak into our team?!"

'Oii!!'

"I mean I just thought he was just some lost child so I didn't say anything before."

'Okay. I am not gonna save him now. The world can go to hell but I ain't standing this shit.'

"Can I kill him?" I asked Minato Sensei while pointing my finger at the loud mouth.

After a few seconds Obito started yelling again. I guess it took him some time to properly process what I had said. By this time Kakashi and Rin had already started laughing.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY!!" he yelled

"Alright That's enough!!" Minato said. This time his voice was even louder.

This was enough to make all of us shut up at once.

"Like I said before, we are going to a very important mission in a week. If you don't understand it's implication, you are given 1 week to prepare and train yourselves."

He then walked towards us, kept a hand at Kakashi and Rin's and then walked away with them while saying,

"We will be focusing on improving your teamwork as well as you individual battle power. And the best way to create good teamwork is to familiarise yourself with each other's battle style. So,.....we will be conducting sparring matches."

"You two get ready!"

"Yess Sir!!" We said

'I am already getting a headache at the thought that this guy would want to taunt me before the fight.'

That is what I thought but when I looked at him, he was completely serious about this and was already in position. I didn't know any stances related to Taijutsu so I was in apinch as to what I have to do now.

I am not going to use my electrical powers to enhance my speed and perception for a spar unless I have to since I really wanna know how I fair in a fight without them.

'Not to mention that without using that ability, my Taijutsu is pretty weak. So, this will be a tough fight for me.'

Anyway, Since I have only learned the Taijutsu from the academy which is a pretty weak Taijutsu, I quickly got into the most basic stance for it.

'I will manage somehow. I did learn boxing and a very tiny bit Karate back on earth. Maybe if I can integrate it with the academy's taijutsu, it will become much better.'

I got a few weird looks from everyone but I ignored them.

As soon as minato said "Start", I leapt at him closing the distance between us.

I can't give him the advantage of making the first move, The Uchiha Style taijutsu from what I have heard focuses less on defence and and more on offence.

Just when I was 2 meters away from him, I stopped my momentum immediately, got in stance, transferred all the energy I gathered from the sprint to my fists and performed a 'straight punch'. Because of the height difference between us, it was directly aimed for his stomach.

He dodged it by stepping to my right and sent a punch aimed directly at my face.

I leaned backwards, arched my back until my hands reached the ground, twisted my lower body and launched myself in the air to perform a kick directly at his head.

He wasn't in a position to dodge, so he defended himself by putting his arms up. My kick connected and he clearly felt it's full impact.

'Nice!! although this wasn't a direct hit, it is still much better than nothing. At least this will create a good enough distance between us.'

I thought but my kick wasn't as effective as I had thought. It pushed him back but only a little, not even a step actually.

The worse thing is that while I was still in air, he had already stabilised himself and had thrown a punch at me.

All my focus went towards defending against his attack.

I put both of my attacks in front of me, curled myself up to avoid getting a hit on any part of my torso and spread my chakra towards by back and arms since I will probably land on either of the two and then just waited for his attack to connect which wasn't long.

"Aahh!!" I yelled in pain

The punch was much stronger than expected, and I was blasted off.

I fell on my back, rolled one more time and tried to stabilise myself using my hands.

I succeeded in stabilising myself and was in a sprinting position like that of an athlete only without a good footing.

As soon as I looked up, I saw Obito's knee only a few centi-meters away from me.

'Fuck!!' Is the only thing I could think of.

It was too late too block and I was in a very awkward position to dodge the attack as well. As a result, I was again blasted off further, this time with a much higher speed and a broken nose.

My vision was blurry and my point of view just kept on shifting way too much so I had no idea where I was going. So in a desperate attempt to protect myself from incurring several serious injuries, I unleashed my chakra outside of my body in all directions and condensed it to form a protective barrier.

"~Smashh~"

I first crashed into the ground and then into a tree. Luckily, the barrier protected me, but it consumed a lot of chakra since I just spread it all around my surroundings. And because of that it easily dissipated as soon as I lost focus.

'Ughh this could have gotten much worse had I not covered myself in chakra' I thought as I leaned against the tree, taking it's support to barely manage to stand up and looked at the crater on the ground and the crack on the tree which went halfway through the trunk.

Except for the broken nose, I had no other injury. I mean except for the previous ones which weren't exactly injuries but scratches but the problem was that my head was still a little disoriented because of his ruthless knee attack.

'I don't wanna use that move against him but I also don't wanna lose.....I guess I will just go with that.'

I have to use my powers now but I just won't use them at their maximum output. Maybe not even using electricity but I would just circulate chakra using my core in the exact same way as that.

'This will also bring the same kinds of increase in my strength but just not at that level.'

I quickly did that and felt chakra fill up and circulate through every part of my body at a very high speed.

'I guess the more speed of the circulation, the higher the amount of boost I get right?'

So I increased the speed of my chakra inside my body. I am not gonna overdo it like last time no. I learn from my mistakes.

Chakra also started to leak outside of my body now at the increased speed.

This alerted all 4 of them, Sensei, Kakashi, Rin and even Obito. They were all able to sense that I was emanating a quite large amount of chakra to my surroundings. However, even with this, he will still have a decent chance of putting up a fight because I am sure he hasn't gone all out yet either.

"I will take you seriously now." I said completely letting go of the support from the tree.

"O yeah? Just try doi-"

Obito was cut off in the middle as I instantly appeared behind him. He was shocked at the sudden increase in speed, but still reacted by starting to twist his body and turn around.

Not allowing this chance to go by, I punched him hard on his ribs.

His body arched and after that I gave him the exact attack sequence as Naruto did to Sasuke.

Ofcourse I held back a little. I can't hurt him in a spar among team mates also a much bigger reason is that he might be out of commission at the time of the mission. Which although would be ideal and I certainly like the idea of saving him from almost dying, living in a hell like life and then dying by beating the shit out of him now.

But if I do this, I will get punishment as well and I don't want that because who knows what it will be.

Anyway, by this time I had already placed a kunai at Obito's neck before he could get up again and Minato Sensei announced me as the winner of the spar.

We then made the unison sign and concluded the spar. Obito was not happy about the result and went on saying that he would have won if he hadn't been caught off guard.

However, I had only been thinking about one thing this entire time.

'Why is Obito so strong right now?'

Right now he is probably at the level of Chunin but that is a problem.

In the anime he was shown to be at the very bottom of his class and barely passed the graduation test. But that also doesn't make any sense because Obito knew a C-rank jutsu, the Fireball Jutsu. So, it doesn't make sense that he barely passed the test.

And also if he was at the very bottom of his class then how did he got assigned to a Jounin instructor rather than being send back to academy or genin corps that means he must have been among the top 9 genins of his year or at least close to top 10.

And to top it off, he got the yellow flash as his Jounin instructor. Meaning that he must have been skilled and has talent that made him recognised by the village.

Kakashi is an allrounder genius with excelling in every part of Ninja battle styles. Whether it is Genjutsu, Taijutsu or Ninjutsu, he is good at that. Rin on the other hand is an exceptional medical-nin already recognised by the village's hospital.

So, I guess Obito also has something he is a master in. Which is most likely Taijutsu since he doesn't have the sharingan, his Genjutsu proficiency must be quite low and it was shown in the anime that he wasn't able to produce clones of good quality just like Naruto. But if that's the case, how has he already mastered the fireball jutsu??

'This is bad. Looks like I can't completely trust the anime it was filled with inaccuracies. I mean Kakashi is mentally in a better state right now. Also, Yuhi clan also exists right now. Though the nine tails haven't attacked yet so there is no telling if that thing also diverges from the anime.'

But still this only meant one thing, the knowledge I have about this world from the anime might be about90% accurate, but I have to watch out for the rest of the 10%.

'This is gonna turn out to be such a hassle.'
