Chapter 27

[A/N: Heads up!! A short and a little boring chapter]

Is there seriously no other way?

'If I don't save Rin now, Obito will become a pawn of Madara and will start the 4th great ninja war. That will lead to hundreds of thousands of more deaths.'

Convincing myself by this unmoral reasoning I created 6 shadow clones. I all of them down, underwater and hid myself close to the shore.

The shadow clones will transform into Kiri shinobis. After that they will attack the konoha ninjas positioned at the shore. I will keep 2 of them on the sea so as to continue the attack by supporting the other ones attacking the Konoha shinobis.

This will eventually force the Konoha ninjas to directly launch an attack or at least confront the enemy. I will use that time to join them and cross this sea with them.

At the shore, the konoha shinobis had set up a big camp close to the shore. There were 1 hundred shinobis present there. However there were a few dozen more who were hidden even inside the camp.

The kiri battlefield was formerly led by Danzo Shimura. He had led the konoha to victory against Kirigakure though with a huge amount of sacrifices and casualties. Although he had returned back to his base, he had still left a good amount of his force behind in case something unexpected happens.

After all the war hasn't come to an end just yet.

It is just that there is no need for him to be there in order to win anymore so he left.

*Boom*

When no one had expected it, a large explosion ran off at the entrance of the camp shaking the entire base.

At the sound of the explosion, the current commander bolted out of his tent and went straight towards the explosion.

This attack hadn't caught them by surprise at all in fact they were expecting kiri to do something soon. That is why everyone inside the camp moved swiftly to their positions in order to get rid of the enemy.

None of them had any question about what the explosion was as they knew it could only mean one thing and that is the enemy attack.

The konoha shinobis found 6 attackers in front of the entrance already engaged with their forces.

It took them about 10 minutes to get rid of 5 of them leaving only one without suffering any casualties. By that time they already knew that this attack was done by behind just a single person as the rest were shadow clones.

The one left started running away from them and was surprisingly fast but was eventually surrounded due to the relentless pursuit of the Jonins and Elite Jonins.

As he was cornered, he smiled and started laughing like a maniac. This put all the shinobis surrounding him to be terrified as all of them had assumed that this was all just a ruse to drive a good part of jonins and elite jonins away from the camp leaving their base defenseless.

As the commander gave them the order to retreat, the enemy blew himself up as well as the pre planned explosion tags in the area.

After they returned to their base they found the base to be in a terrible condition.

Most of the camp's infrastructure was destroyed with rocks and dust in the air and many shinobis having injuries.

Miraculously no one died. They only ended up destroying their food and supplies.

Raging over this incident since it was just like a slap in his face. The commander immediately gave them the order to prepare for the proper fight and in a matter of hours many battleships left Konoha's shore.

Of course the commander also followed the protocol and sent a scroll with all the details of this attack to the Hokage and Danzo via bird, as well as his decision to attack kiri. He can't simply attack kiri without the Hokage's consent anyway.

I had boarded the ship and had transformed into a Konoha shinobi.

In just a few minutes we were in fighting range to the kiri shinobis.

The kiri shinobis as well got into battle formations after spotting us approaching them.

And well we wreaked havoc on them. I am causing a war, the least I can do is help them out a little by killing a few people here and there.

The rest of the plan continued as I had planned and I made it into the Land of water.

I released the transformation jutsu and started running.

Although I have no idea where Kakashi and Rin might be but I do know that they shouldn't be that far from the border. I guess only a few kilometers into this land.
