Boom!
A muffled explosion rang out as a green streak of light tore across the sky.
Crash!
With a deafening roar, the green streak plummeted to the ground, colliding violently with the earth.
The clash scattered the green Tenseigan chakra enveloping the middle-aged man, sending him crashing deep into the ground.
The impact created a massive crater, its spiderweb-like cracks spreading out for hundreds of meters. At the bottom of the deep pit, the middle-aged man lay motionless, his life or death uncertain.
Akira scanned the area with a calm glance, briefly sensing the surroundings before vanishing into thin air.
He didn't immediately head to the deepest part of the space. Instead, he lingered in the Kamui dimension for a while, patiently waiting.
Once the timing felt right, Akira reappeared in the moon's hidden inner world.
Extending his senses, he felt a smirk tug at the corners of his lips beneath the mask.
"As expected. Once they realized their leader had fallen, they'd retreat to Hamura's shrine. It's the safest place they could choose."
Opening his perception fully, Akira located the group rapidly heading toward the floating Hamura Shrine.
On this moon, the Ōtsutsuki clan possessed the power of the Tenseigan, making flight second nature to them.
In an instant, Akira materialized in front of the group mid-flight.
The sudden appearance of the masked intruder sent ripples of fear across the group. Those wielding the power of the Tenseigan had clearly observed the earlier battle. They understood that the man standing before them was far beyond their ability to contend with.
"Ancestors, if you can hear us from the Pure Land, please protect us. Grant us safe passage to your sacred shrine!" a trembling voice prayed from the group.
An elder stepped forward, his expression grave. "Haoji, Maki. Take Toneri to our ancestor's shrine. He is the hope of the Ōtsutsuki clan. Protect him at all costs! The rest of you, stay here and stop the enemy."
This elder was the same one who had appeared in Konohagakure previously.
"Yes, Elder." A young man and woman responded in unison. Without hesitation, they took a swaddled infant from a middle-aged woman and swiftly avoided Akira, heading directly for Hamura's Shrine.
"We must hold him off! Under no circumstances can we let him pass!" Elder roared, gripping a golden chakra prayer bead. The bead glowed brightly in his hand, transforming into a streak of golden light that shot toward Akira.
The rest of the group followed suit, launching their own attacks.
"Heh…" Akira chuckled, effortlessly parrying their strikes as he mused aloud. "It seems that child is incredibly important to you. I wonder what makes him so special."
"Over my dead body!" someone bellowed, charging forward with a spear aimed at Akira.
Unlike the Hyūga on Earth, the Ōtsutsuki on the moon didn't rely on techniques like Gentle Fist. Instead, they preferred conventional weapons, which they wielded with precision and power.
"The more you resist, the more intriguing this child becomes." Akira smirked. "Initially, I was just curious about the legendary Ōtsutsuki clan's prowess. But now, I might find an unexpected reward."
His words only fueled the group's frenzy, their attacks growing increasingly desperate. Against the relentless onslaught of ten Ōtsutsuki warriors, Akira activated his Kamui intangibility to maneuver easily through their strikes.
Meanwhile, his attention occasionally drifted to the two young guardians carrying Toneri, who were swiftly approaching the floating Hamura Shrine.
Akira remained calm, almost amused by the situation. This was all unfolding exactly as he had planned. The farther they took Toneri, the more favorable it became for him. After all, distance was never a limitation for him.
"It's time. No need for Susanoo," Akira murmured, weaving through an attack with practiced ease.
"Kamui."
In an instant, Akira vanished.
The sudden disappearance stunned the ten Ōtsutsuki, their faces filled with disbelief. They were helpless against Akira's ability to enter the Kamui dimension.
His double Kamui activation was even faster than the Truth-Seeking Balls of Six Paths Madara. These warriors, reliant solely on the borrowed power of the Tenseigan, were leagues apart from a true Six Paths powerhouse.
Moments later, Akira reappeared in front of the two young guardians cradling Toneri.
Crackle!
With a flash of lightning, both were sent flying, their bodies crashing to the ground. The swaddled infant slipped from their grasp, falling straight into Akira's arms.
The baby had pale skin and hair as white as the moon itself, strikingly similar to Ōtsutsuki Kaguya. His ribcage bore nine jet-black tomoe markings, but his most striking feature—or lack thereof—was his closed, eyeless sockets.
As Toneri wailed in his arms, Akira coldly achieved his goal. Extracting a sample of the infant's tissue for cloning, he smiled faintly.
"Release him!" Elder's roar tore through the air as he charged toward Akira.
"Calm down," Akira said lightly, his tone almost mocking. "If you force my hand, I might get a little careless. That could lead to some… unfortunate accidents."
"You…" Mari's hands trembled with rage as he pointed at Akira. "You, a descendant of the Sage of Six Paths, would stoop to such despicable tactics—threatening a helpless infant! Truly, the world created by the Sage has failed!"
Akira chuckled, unfazed. "I was simply curious why you value this child so much. Honestly, he doesn't seem all that remarkable—aside from being born without eyes, of course."
Hearing this, Mari felt a flicker of relief. At least this intruder hadn't fully grasped Toneri's significance.
But deep inside, a scornful thought surfaced. This so-called descendant of the Sage knows nothing.
Toneri's bloodline purity was nearly identical to that of Hamura himself. According to their records, the child's features mirrored those of Hamura and Kaguya—the same complexion, the same hair, and the same tomoe markings symbolizing their lineage.
Most importantly, Toneri possessed pure Ōtsutsuki chakra. Unlike them, as long as Toneri acquired compatible Byakugan, he could awaken the Tenseigan with ease. With it, he would gain the power to destroy the Shinobi World and rebuild it anew.
