"What happened? Where am I?"

I struggled to open my eyes and take in my surroundings. The room was simple, with white walls and minimal furniture. But my memory was hazy, and it seemed like something was blocking me from remembering what had happened. As I tried to stand up, a message suddenly appeared in front of me.

[Welcome, Mr. Shin Kageyami. Starting memory transfer. Please endure the pain]

Confused, I winced in pain as an excruciating sensation took over my head.

The pain was unbearable, almost as if my head was about to explode. Slowly, the agony subsided, and memories flooded into my mind.

They were memories of my past life as a man named Krisna, living in the year 2023 as a delivery courier. I had a normal life, married with two children at the age of 29. My hobbies included reading novels and comics. Then, I died suddenly in an accident. Instead of moving on, though, I found myself reincarnated into a new world.

In this new body, Shin Kageyami, I was an orphan living in an orphanage. I was 17 years old and resided in a city called Konoha. This world was a combination of elements from Naruto, Earth, and fantasy. The country names, geography, and world map resembled those from Naruto, but the technology here was advanced, similar to my previous life on Earth.

However, there was one major difference. There was no war between nations in this world. All countries lived in harmony and peace. The only shared threat in this world were the dungeons.

Here, some individuals possessed superpowers known as Hunters. They formed groups or guilds to venture into dungeons, defeat monsters, and earn rewards. A high-ranking Hunter could accumulate wealth and fame surpassing that of any richest individual or famous artist in the world. It was now Shin Kageyami's dream to become the strongest Hunter in this world. With the memories from my past life and my burning desire to achieve greatness, I would work towards that goal.

A message appeared in front of me, presenting a new quest:

I decided to open the box and was rewarded with the Legendary Skill 'Observe' and a Rare Weapon Claymore.

[Observe] : The skill allowed me to gather information but offered limited details as my skill level was still low.

As for the weapon

[Claymore (Rare)] : had a usage requirement of Level 5 and Strength 15. It had a damage rating of 35 and a special effect of increasing damage by 10% when facing more than 2 enemies.

Though it was a good sword for beginners, I couldn't use it yet due to the usage requirement. Therefore, I realized the need to grow stronger as quickly as possible.

Feeling determined, I rose from my bed and left the room. As I walked, I encountered Mrs. Mizuki, the matron at the orphanage who had cared for me since I was abandoned there 16 years ago. I used my 'Observe' skill to learn more about her, but my level wasn't high enough to gather detailed information. All I could discern was that she was a Level 20 Human Healer named Mizuki Miya.

"I'm glad to see your enthusiasm this morning, Shin. Just remember not to push yourself too hard. Take breaks when you feel tired," Ms. Mizuki advised, smiling at me.

"Alright, then I'll excuse myself, Ms. Mizuki," I said as I took a step back. I truly appreciate Ms. Mizuki for being like a mother to me since she cared for me when I was young.

After preparing myself, I immediately went to the Training Ground near the orphanage. The Training Ground was specifically created for the children in the orphanage who aspired to become Hunters. While the facilities were not as extensive as a gym, at least they were free.

Upon arrival, I completed warm-up exercises and then proceeded to do push-ups, sit-ups, and running. I did 100 repetitions each of push-ups and sit-ups, and ran 10km. After that, I moved on to squats, weightlifting, and hand coordination exercises. During these exercises, a notification appeared in front of me, indicating the increase in my stats.

Hashirama Senju, a former Hokage and one of the founders of Konoha, now serves as the Guild Master of Konoha's top guild, the Supernova Guild. He is also the number one S-Rank Hunter in the Global Rankings. Defeating him is my ultimate goal to become the strongest Hunter in the world.

Suddenly, I found myself standing in front of the highly secure Hunter Association building. This facility served not only as a gathering place for Hunters, but also hosted auctions, trading, and tournaments. It was always bustling with activity.

I made my way to the lobby to register as a Hunter, where a receptionist warmly greeted me.

"Hi. My name is Shin Kageyami, and I want to register as a Hunter," I said politely.

"Alright. Do you have your ID card? We need to verify your information," the receptionist requested, and I handed over my ID card for inspection.

"Okay, your data checks out. Please follow this aisle to the testing room to determine your rank. Good luck," she instructed, giving me directions. I thanked her and swiftly proceeded to the testing room.

Once there, I was assigned a queue number, 164, and took the opportunity to observe my fellow test participants. None of them stood out as particularly exceptional. Their stats averaged around 15-20. I felt confident in achieving a good rank in this test.

"Participant Number 164, please enter the testing room," announced a staff member.

As I entered, I noticed a spacious area equipped for various tests.

"First, we will gauge your magic abilities using the magic measuring crystal ball over there. Channel a small amount of mana into the ball to determine your magic level," explained the staff member. While the first test seemed simple, I doubted that my current magic stat would yield a favorable score.

"Next is the physical test. You will be given a series of equipment to showcase your strength, agility, and endurance," the staff continued. I felt confident in my abilities for the second test.

"Finally, there is a simulation battle test where you will face our instructor to evaluate your combat abilities. That concludes the explanation. Is there anything you'd like to ask?" the staff concluded. The third test was the one I had eagerly anticipated, as it would provide valuable combat experience before entering the dungeon.

I shook my head and prepared myself for the tests. Today marked the first step in my journey to become a Hunter.
