Bad Feeling

I woke up feeling groggy and tired, a persistent throbbing pain pulsing in my head. My head hurts... I shouldn't have exhausted my chakra before sleeping.

I stared at the clock, squinting my eyes to see exactly what time it was: 6 o'clock.

"Fucking hell..." I grumbled to myself, my right palm resting on my forehead in a futile attempt to alleviate the pain. It was still early in the day, and thankfully, no one else was awake in this room.

I decided to get up. I removed the covers, slipped on my shorts and shoes, and made my way down the corridor, eventually reaching the bathroom.

Approaching the sink, I splashed my face with cold water. This helped a little, dulling the ache just enough to make me feel slightly more alert. I then brushed my teeth and dried my face with one of the soft towels hanging nearby.

Stepping out, I felt a nagging thirst. I headed toward the dining room, where I found Miss Hana—the kind woman who had given me the guide and pencil, and who was even helping me with it. By the way, I could now write basic words in Hiragana and Katakana.

She was humming to herself while cleaning the floor when she noticed me.

"Mhmhmhm... Oh, Amai, what are you doing up so early? Up to something?" she asked playfully.

"Morning, Miss Hana. I was wondering if I could get a glass of water; I'm really thirsty and my head hurts a bit," I replied sincerely, feeling the need for something to drink.

"Oh dear, I'll get one for you right away. Just stay right here, alright?" she said with a hint of concern before heading to the kitchen to fetch a glass and fill it with water.

"Thank you, Mama! I mean, uh, Miss Hana!" My face flushed with embarrassment. I accidentally called her "mom"! I swear to God, if she teases me about it, I'll...

She returned with a wide smile, handing me a glass filled almost to the brim with water. I gratefully accepted it, a blush creeping onto my cheeks.

"Mama, huh?" she teased, her eyes sparkling. Kill me!

I drank the water quickly; my thirst was insatiable. Afterward, I handed the empty glass back to her and reached up to hug her waist, looking up at her with a forced smile.

"Thank you, Miss Hana," I said, trying to mask my embarrassment.

"Anything for you, my little troublemaker," she replied, bending slightly to my level. She stroked my long, white hair, her fingers gliding through the strands, while her other hand returned my embrace, a soft smile on her face that felt almost motherly.

I lingered in that moment for a few seconds; it felt... nice. I miss my mom.

I went back to the girls' room, and she returned to her work, focused and diligent.

I opened my notebook, only to notice something was missing... but what? Hmmm.

Oh, that's right—I had never bothered to write down the future events due to my lazy nature. How stupid! I can remember the major events like the Konoha Crush and Pain's destruction of the Leaf, along with the protagonists and main villains, and some side characters too. Yet, I can't shake the feeling that I'm forgetting something truly important.

But what? What the hell is missing?! Goddamn it, I should have made mental notes of what was to come!

I was never the brightest, nor did I have an exceptional memory. Two years can really take a toll on your recollections.

So, what now? Uh, wait...

Minato, Naruto... Nine Tails, Nine Tails, Nine Tails... These words kept echoing in my mind, and I couldn't quite connect the dots until... Jinchūriki.

That's right! Minato will seal the Nine Tails into Naruto, but when? How? Why?

The Nine Tails' rampage... I finally pieced it together. But how do I tell anyone about it? They won't believe me since I'm just a child, and I can't even go outside—I'm stuck in this damn place!

The third Hokage only visits once a year to check on us, so how am I supposed to inform that old fart?!

Ugh, whatever. I don't think it'll happen that soon, and I might still have a chance to warn people.

After finishing my writing session, I closed my notebook and stowed it in my pouch along with the pencil and guide. I noticed a few of my siblings were already stirring awake. As Shikamaru would say... troublesome.

I followed my usual routine, and the day flew by in a blur. By the time night arrived, an uneasy feeling settled in as I crawled under the covers.

What the hell am I supposed to do?

Slowly, sleep overtook me, and my consciousness faded away into the darkness.
