Chapter 65: What Do You Think of the Name Mirai Uchiha?

Before Sarutobi Asuma could say anything, he noticed a man standing next to Kurenai. This unfamiliar man suddenly made him feel a pang of jealousy.

"Who are you, and why are you in Kurenai's house?!" Sarutobi Asuma shouted at Sasuke, especially as he noticed how much better looking the man was, which only fueled his jealousy.

Hearing Asuma's question, Sasuke smiled slightly, remaining completely calm. He replied, "Me? Asuma-sensei, I'm Uchiha Sasuke."

Sarutobi Asuma sneered, "You're not fooling anyone! Sasuke is just a kid—there's no way you're him!" He then pulled out his chakra blades, Feiyan, and pointed them at Sasuke. "You better explain yourself, or I'll make sure the Konoha Torture Department gets to know you personally!"

Clearly, Sarutobi Asuma was looking for any excuse to detain Sasuke and subject him to interrogation, thinking he would eventually bend to his will.

Seeing Asuma draw his weapon, Kurenai quickly intervened, "That's enough, Asuma! Stop causing trouble—he really is Sasuke!"

"Don't worry, Kurenai. I just want to have a little chat with this 'imposter' at the Torture Department. We'll release him soon enough," Sarutobi Asuma said dismissively, still not believing the man before him was truly Sasuke. After all, who could believe that a child could grow so much in just a few days?

Sasuke placed his right hand on Kurenai's shoulder and said, "It seems that Asuma-sensei has made up his mind not to believe me. But that's fine—I'll just have to show him."

Of course, Sasuke understood that Sarutobi Asuma was in disbelief because, if word got out that his beloved Kurenai had fallen for a younger man, it would be a major blow to Asuma's pride. After all, everyone in Konoha knew that Asuma had been pursuing Kurenai for some time, and this situation was a huge embarrassment for him.

"Alright then. Let's take this elsewhere so I can gauge your strength," Asuma said, leaving the house.

Sasuke turned to Kurenai and reassured her, "Don't worry, I'll be back soon." He gently touched Kurenai's cheek, making her blush. "Just go easy on him—after all, he's the Third Hokage's son," Kurenai said, still worried.

"Don't worry, I know my limits," Sasuke replied, before quickly departing.

The two arrived at a remote forest, where Sarutobi Asuma turned his back to Sasuke and said, "Why?"

"Why what?" Sasuke asked, confused by the sudden question.

"Why did you take Kurenai away from me? Don't you already have Ino and Sakura?" Asuma asked loudly, turning to face Sasuke.

Sasuke realized he could no longer feign ignorance. "Does it matter? This world doesn't exactly operate on a one-man, one-wife system, does it?" Sasuke retorted.

"But she's your teacher!" Asuma shouted.

"Teachers are great. Didn't you know that relationships between students and teachers can be quite... special?" Sasuke replied, a smirk on his face as he recalled the previous night's events.

"Damn you! You're going to pay!" Sarutobi Asuma snapped, infusing chakra into his Feiyan and rushing at Sasuke.

As Asuma slashed at him, Sasuke effortlessly dodged each attack with his superior speed. "You know, Kurenai actually doesn't like men with beards, and she definitely doesn't like men who smoke," Sasuke taunted.

This only infuriated Asuma more, causing him to swing his blades even faster. "Oh, by the way, Kurenai told me that our child will be named Uchiha Mirai. What do you think of that?" Sasuke continued, his tone mocking.

"What?!" Sarutobi Asuma was shocked. How did Sasuke know the name he had secretly chosen for the child he had hoped to have with Kurenai? He had never told anyone, and yet Sasuke knew. This realization shattered his resolve.

For ten minutes, Sarutobi Asuma kept slashing at Sasuke, but every strike missed. Exhausted and out of chakra, Asuma finally understood that Sasuke's strength far surpassed his own. Even Kakashi wouldn't have withstood his attack for this long. It was clear to Asuma that Sasuke had reached a level close to Kage-level.

"So, Asuma-sensei, last night Kurenai and I... well, let's just say she didn't hold back," Sasuke taunted, knowing full well that he could have easily killed Asuma but chose not to, preferring to torment him instead.

"You wretched Uchiha brat! I completely misjudged you!" Sarutobi Asuma cursed loudly, feeling utterly betrayed by the one he thought was on his side.

"Don't worry, after you're gone, I'll take good care of Kurenai-sensei. She'll give birth to strong children who will continue the Uchiha legacy," Sasuke said with a smile.

Hearing this, Asuma was horrified. "What did you say? You still want to kill me?! I'm the son of the Third Hokage!" Asuma shouted, trying to use his father's name to intimidate Sasuke.

"Stop pretending. You brought me here to kill me and cover it up, didn't you? If we were really just sparring, we could have gone to the training grounds instead of coming all the way out here," Sasuke replied, seeing right through Asuma's intentions. After all, someone like Asuma, with his obsequious personality, would have no other reason to bring him to such an isolated place after knowing what had happened with Kurenai.

"So what? Do you dare to actually do it?!" Asuma retorted angrily, realizing his plan had been exposed.

"Don't worry, Asuma-sensei. I wouldn't kill you as Uchiha Sasuke," Sasuke said calmly.

"Oh? So you don't dare, then..." Asuma began, but then he realized the implication of Sasuke's words. Sasuke had said he wouldn't kill him 'as' Uchiha Sasuke. But what if he used another identity? Asuma's eyes widened in fear as the truth dawned on him.
