Chapter 30: Do You Call This a Konoha Genin?

"Uh?"

Naruto suddenly felt someone touching him from behind. His heart skipped a beat, and he immediately turned around, only to find that it was Konohamaru.

"It's you again," Naruto sighed helplessly.

Sure enough, in the next moment, Konohamaru jumped out, shouting loudly that he wanted to challenge Naruto to a duel.

"Konohamaru, let me show you the new ninjutsu I developed!" Naruto shouted excitedly.

"Oh? A new ninjutsu? That's awesome, big bro!" Konohamaru exclaimed with anticipation.

"That's right, watch closely! The Harem Jutsu—"

*Whack!* Naruto was suddenly smacked on the head.

"You idiot, Naruto! Don't use your stupid ninjutsu in front of kids!" Sakura scolded angrily.

"S-So scary!" Konohamaru stuttered in fear, his eyes wide. The woman with the broad forehead in front of him was terrifying!

"Konohamaru, don't copy Naruto!" Sakura warned, clenching her fists.

"I-I understand!" Konohamaru yelled as he ran away, accidentally bumping into a passerby.

That passerby turned out to be Kankuro, dressed in black and carrying a puppet on his back. He picked Konohamaru up by his collar.

"Ow, that hurts!" Konohamaru cried.

Kankuro sneered, "You little brat, running into me like that."

Temari, standing nearby, glanced around, seemingly indifferent. "I told you to let him go, Kankuro. You'll get us in trouble."

"Hey! Let go of Konohamaru!" Naruto shouted urgently, stepping forward. Upon seeing Naruto's forehead protector, Kankuro smirked and said disdainfully, "Hmph, a Konoha Genin, huh? Before I get to the real challenges, let me practice with you first."

"You jerk!" Naruto gritted his teeth angrily and rushed at Kankuro like a wild tiger.

Kankuro's lips curled into a sneer as he subtly moved his fingers. Suddenly, Naruto lost his balance and fell hard to the ground.

Getting up in embarrassment, Naruto looked at Kankuro in shock. "What... what was that just now?"

Kankuro mocked him, "What? Are all Konoha's Genin this weak?"

As he spoke, Kankuro's grip on Konohamaru's collar shifted to his neck, tightening. His arrogance was evident.

"Who are these ninjas, and why are they here?" Sakura wondered to herself, watching the scene unfold.

"Let go of Konohamaru, or you'll regret it!" Naruto yelled. He immediately used the Shadow Clone Jutsu, and then began rubbing his hands together, forming a blue Rasengan in an instant.

"This is...?!" Kankuro's pupils shrank in shock. A seemingly foolish Konoha Genin could actually perform such an advanced ninjutsu? Chakra condensed into a solid sphere—how was this possible?

As Naruto charged at him with the Rasengan, Kankuro's heart raced. He planned to use his tricks against Naruto once again. However, what he didn't realize was that the same trick wouldn't work twice on Naruto.

Naruto deftly dodged Kankuro's attack and continued to rush forward like a tiger with the Rasengan in hand. In a panic, Kankuro barely managed to dodge to the side. The Rasengan hit a nearby wall with a loud crash, causing it to collapse as dust filled the air.

Gulp!

Kankuro swallowed hard, cold sweat dripping down his forehead. He was inwardly grateful that the Rasengan hadn't hit him—otherwise, he might have died on the spot. What a terrifying kid!

"You little brat! You've really pissed me off now!" Kankuro shouted angrily. He quickly reached for the belt around his waist, preparing to use his puppetry skills.

But before he could react, he heard a sharp sound from behind him.

Suddenly, Sasuke appeared like a phantom, his voice cold and calm. "I suggest you don't move, or you'll regret it."

Kankuro froze, unsure of what had just happened. He glanced at Sasuke, only to realize that a thin steel wire had been tightly wound around his neck without him noticing.

Several kunai were embedded in the walls on either side of him, their sharp edges glinting dangerously. The thin wire was wrapped around Kankuro's neck like a snake, ready to slice through his throat with the slightest movement.

Kankuro was horrified, unable to move even an inch. Was this really a Genin from Konoha?

"This lovely lady," Sasuke said, glancing at Temari with a charming smile, "perhaps you could convince your teammate to stay calm. After all, you're in someone else's territory—it's best to keep a low profile."

Temari felt her heart race as she blushed, her gaze avoiding Sasuke's piercing eyes. He was so handsome! Not only that, his voice was soothing, almost enchanting.

"Ahem... My brother caused you some trouble," Temari said, trying to sound normal, but her tone betrayed a hint of awkwardness. She stole glances at Sasuke from time to time, her cheeks flushed.

Sasuke raised an eyebrow and smiled faintly as he looked between Temari and Kankuro. "Is he your brother? Hm... Well, it's not that obvious."

His teasing tone made Temari blush even more. To be honest, Temari was attractive and Gaara was somewhat handsome as well, but Kankuro... he was a bit different from the two of them. Could it be that Kankuro was born of a different mother? Sasuke chuckled to himself—an amusing thought indeed.
