The cold atmosphere
"Speak freely. What are you trying to imply, Shikaku."Hiruzen gave his permission to speak freely.
Shikaku took in a deep breath in order to calm himself down. The things he was about to speak, may even offend the Hokage.
"Hokage sama, I know your intentions regarding Naruko. Her colour of hair might have changed but that face and those eyes are familiar to us.....-" Shikaku paused a little in order to let the hokage process the information.
Hiruzen didn't need to. Any older generation shinobi who has seen Naruko before her hair colour changed into blue, would recognise her as the child of Minato. And obviously he expected someone as smart as Shikaku two figure out in a glance. But Hiruzen was ensure about 'his motive regarding Naruko' part.
".....You wanted her as the next Kage. And considering her strength and Chakra reserve, it would have been a very good choice if not for the circumstances in the village....-" Shikaku paused again.
Hiruzen was expecting Shikaku to figure things out sooner or later. But that doesn't mean he liked his grand plan being told infront of him like it's some cheap plan made by some genin. But Hiruzen his grandfatherly smile. The main thing is yet to come.
"..... But the situation has changed. Your series of unfortunate decisions along with the narrow minded view of the villagers help created a monster. I may sound bold or even rebellious, but it is a fact. The current Naruko is way more dangerous than the nine tails fox itself. And if my speculation is correct then she is waiting for something to unleash her madness.
It would have been fine if she considers us as the target for his revenge. But that isn't the case. She is in a world of her on where any one who is weaker than her is a killable prey." Shikaku said what he has on his mind.
After the incident 5 years ago he has taken the investigation of the incident very seriously. He might be lazy but he doesn't slack off when his family and friends are in danger.
From his investigation he found that not even a single trace of nine tails chakra was found from the place. That means whatever happened that night was done solely by Naruko herself.
Two hundred metres is not a small area. From the centre to around an radius of hundred meters, nothing was salvagable. Even with the help of fire Jutsus, they failed to melt the ice. The temperature remained constant for the next week until at slowly started to rise again.
And considering that a 5 years old child had done that, what will happen when she will arrange the age of 15 or 20. She might be able to turn the entire village into a frozen wasteland without breaking a sweat.
Although he saw no flaw of the girl herself for the current situation, but no one can deny the fact that she is extremely dangerous.
Hiruzen understood Shikaku's implications very well. But that didn't mean he wanted to admit it. Naruko was Minato's daughter. But then didn't mean he will not order to assessinate her it necessary. Feature didn't want to lose such a powerful potential ally.
Hiruzen looked at Shikaku.
"Then, what do you suggest ?"
"I serve the village Hokage sama. And for its safety I suggest that we should capture Naruko Uzumaki and seal away her chakra. If we want to use her as a Jinjuriki then we can always use mental conditioning. But that decision is yours to make." Hiruzen was surprised by such strict and harsh approach of Shikaku. He wasn't stupid to not realise, that situation isn't dire. After contemplating for a while, Hiruzen finally went to his kage mode.
"I understand your concerns. We will discuss this matter in the upcoming shinobi council meeting in a week. This is not something that I should take decisions on my own." Hiruzen said in a commanding voice.
Little did they know, that by the time they discuss the matter, it would be too late.

In the darkness of the night, a blue haired girl landed in a dark room. The place was an abandoned lab of root, where Orochimaru used to conduct his experiments on the body of the first Hokage. But now it has been turned into the secret hide out of Esdeath.
The entire lab was covered with thick layer of ice for extra protection.
Esdeath, after reaching the lab, went towards the massive sealing array drawn on the ground.
The main reason she was staying in the hidden leaf village, was the mask of the death God. According to Kurama, the last time he saw it while being sealed inside my biological mother, it was inside the sacred Uzumaki temple of Shinigami.
The temple itself is not the problem. It has been abandoned long ago. But the problem was, that the mask can't leave the temple.
After getting Kurama's information two years ago, Esdeath visited the temple. But before taking away the mask she decided to study it, in case there is a secret trap.
And her doubt was true as she found a defence mechanism on the mask. It has been linked to the temple. The moment it get outside without turning off the security seal, the Shinigami mask will turn on on its own and claim the soul of the culprit taking it away.
When she tried to study the security seal she found that the seal was a blood type seal, which would need the blood of a specific person to unlock it.
Esdeath has learnt fuinjutsu from Kurama. His father the switch off the six paths, has used seals. But they were different. They were more like bloodline limits rather than the complex thing fuinjutsu, that humans have created. So from watching the memories of Kurama, Esdeath had to learn everything in a very crewd way. But adding the knowledge of sealings that the sage of the six paths have left with Kurama, Esdeath has managed to accomplish many things. But sadly she has yet to learn many things about Uzumaki fuinjutsu.
So unfortunately, she couldn't open the safety seal of the Shinigami mask.
So she and Kurama made another plan. A plan that will create a lot of problem for the hidden leaf and a perfect way for them to escape.
The massive sealing array on the ground was the slow poison they needed to begin their plan.
