Chapter-24 Raising suspicion

NARUTO: "Hey, don't say that! Gramps is very nice man and he is a great Hokage."

Sakura also wanted to say that Sasuke was wrong, she also thinks that third Hokage is a great Hokage, loved by everyone in village but she did not dare to refute Sasuke, she was afraid he will get angry with her.

SASUKE: "You were manipulated Naruto, if you want to know the truth, ask Kakashi what happened to fourth Hokage's son. Fourth Hokage and his wife sacrificed their life for village and their son, they hoped that third Hokage would protect their child after they are gone. Ask Kakashi what village did to their son, how the son of heroes of village lived a miserable life alone with no one to care about. Do you want me to say more Kakashi?"

KAKASHI: "Stop Sasuke, that is a S-class secret, you cannot reveal it, revealing is same as betraying the village. Naruto and Sakura, you two go back to your room, Sasuke lets go, I have things to discuss with you."

NARUTO: "Kakashi sensei, I also want to know about fourth Hokage's son, tell me."

KAKASHI: "No one is allowed to talk about it Naruto. You are just a genin, you don't have clearance to know about village's secret."

NARUTO: "Then why does Sasuke know about it?"

KAKASHI: "I'll discuss that with Sasuke, you two stay here, Sasuke lets go."

Kakashi and Sasuke left Tazuna's house, Naruto wanted to follow them but Sakura stopped him, while Inari did not understand what happened. He was going to ask Sasuke to train him but he didn't get the chance. Kakashi checked his surrounding and after confirming that no one can hear them he turn to Sasuke;

KAKASHI: "Those are classified information Sasuke, how do you know about it?"

SASUKE: "I figured it out. If you use your brain then seeing through these things are not that difficult."

KAKASHI: "Oh really! How did you figure it out?"

SASUKE: "I spend a lot of time in library so I know a lot about our village's history. Everybody in village says that Naruto is reincarnation of nine-tailed fox but tailed beast do not reincarnate in human forms, do they! Only possibility was that Naruto is jinchuriki, it got me interested. Jinchuriki's are like biggest weapon of any village, they are weapon of mass destruction so any random person cannot become a jinchuriki. I tried to figure out Naruto's identity, his last name is Uzumaki. I read about people of Uzumaki clan, they were known to have red hair and vast amount of chakra. Naruto do not have red hair but he had more chakra than you, me and Sakura combined, he is not even chunin yet. So he definitely is an Uzumaki but the Uzumaki clan was destroyed. Last known Uzumaki was Kushina Uzumaki who was previous Jinchuriki of nine tailed and best friend of my mom. And Jinchuriki before her was Mito Uzumaki, wife of first Hokage. Kushina was married to fourth Hokage, Naruto's birth date is 10th October, fourth Hokage and his wife's death and nine tailed attack on leaf village also occurred on the same day. Do I need to say more?"

Sasuke mentioned that Kushina was his mom's best friend to throw off any suspicion about his detailed knowledge of Kushina and her marriage to fourth Hokage.

KAKASHI: "You are very smart Sasuke, if I didn't know I could never have figure this out on my own. But the way you talk, it seems you have some grudge against the village. Are you loyal to leaf village Sasuke?"

SASUKE: "It depends."

KAKASHI: "Depends on what?"

SASUKE: "It depends on your definition of loyalty to leaf village. If your definition means, am I going to fight for the village and protect it from threats? Yes, I'll fight for safety of village. I killed Gato because I saw condition of this village when I went to market. This is the first time I visit this village, people are stranger to me here, but I still killed Gato for them knowing that it is against the rules of our village. For you those who abandon their comrades are worse than scum, for me those who have strength to protect weak innocent people but still do nothing because of some shitty village rules are worst than scum. So yeah I will protect the innocent people of my village, so I am loyal to village.

But if your definition of loyalty to village means having blind faith in Hokage and elder council of village and do whatever they ask you to do, then no I am not loyal to village. First of all I'll never do anything against my believes, I have some principles and I'll stick to it. Second I am loyal to village not a person, I will always ask question to village's authority if I feel what they did was wrong."

Sasuke did not care much about village, but he cannot say that to Kakashi. Kakashi was very loyal to third Hokage, so Sasuke decided to raise suspicion in Kakashi's heart against third Hokage. If he report everything happened in wave country to Hokage then third Hokage who already is wary of Sasuke will start monitoring Sasuke. He might even send anbu to keep eye on him, so he decided to create drift between Kakashi and Hokage. He created a picture that Hokage and elder council care more about their power than village. With few examples he was sure to make Kakashi doubtful of Hokage. He does not want to change more things which may lead to third Hokage's surviving Orochimaru attack as butterfly effect.
