- Chisaki's POV -

Closing the scroll that was on my hand, lazily sitting on my chair, I stared at the ceiling blankly..
Everything has been going well according to the plan.
However.. why don't I feel happy at all?
I should normally be happy as I was the one who planned everything, but these feelings inside my heart were as if I was only watching from the side and not the real mastermind behind this grand plan.
With my eyes closed, I began to think about where everything started.
"If I'm not wrong, it should be from that day."
That day.. the day when my father died.
I was deep in anguish, but somehow, I felt something had awoken inside of me.
It was just a whisper at first, but as time went on, I began to feel like it was something more.
The whispers got clearer as every time passed, and sometimes, I felt like I was being controlled by those whispers.
It was as if... I was not myself anymore.
Still, it was not without gain.
One thing that I realized, whenever I let the voice control me or my action, I felt my overhaul power is getting stronger.
It was kind of a bet, whether I would be fully controlled by the voice first, or will I be able to master my Overhaul ability.
It was a very risky bet, but I knew I must take it. After all, this is my way to survive in this cruel ninja world.
Well, let's stop this heavy affair for a bit.
Leaning back on my chair, I stopped thinking about the war and shifted my focus toward Suna's development plan.
Prior to everything that had happened, I have used all my power to help revitalize Suna's land.
It was now still in the 30 or 40 percent ish development level as Suna's land was pretty big, and my power was a bit limited. Nonetheless, the past few years had let Suna get a great harvest, and it had enhanced Suna's economy to a whole new level.
...and with that, I solved Suna's problem.
But this is not where I should stop.
For an earthling like me, there was a saying that no matter what I do, I will never be satisfied, and this perfectly replicates my feeling at this time.
I wanted to spread my wings to other sectors of the economy and not only agriculture. From F&B, education, or even others things like the entertainment industry.
So not only did I need to solve the matter regarding Suna as a village, I would also need to help its economy and other sectors.
Like the saying goes, what a troublesome matter.
Still, I will save that for the years ahead after the third world war.
Right now my focus was to lead Suna to win the Third world war, and for that, I need some help.
I opened my eyes as I stood up from the chair and took out the list the Third Kazekage had given me.
' Hmm.. let's see, who I have here..'
Opening the scroll, I began to look at the information one by one.
Sunagakure top-secret - Special talent.
1. Chisaki
2. Sasori
3. Pakura
4. Konan
5. Shiro
Among the list here, I believed that Sasori, Pakura, and Konan would be able to reach the height of Kage-level just the moment where the Third world war sarted.
However, there was a problem here.
Pakura... a wielder of scorch-style bloodline and in the original story, the Suna's hero.
Everything was fine, except there was very little interaction between Pakura and me.
I knew Pakura would love the village dearly, but for some reason, I wanted to make things sure.
I tried to think of a way to get in contact with Pakura, and soon a well-laid plan appeared right in my head.
' Well, let's try to do this.'
- Chisaki POV end -
. . . . . . .
Sunagakure, near an Oasis that Chisaki artificially created.
A small restaurant was built next to Oasis that became one of the most famous tourist spots in Suna. In fact, the business here was very blooming, and it had boosted Suna's and Chisaki's pockets by a lot.
Arriving at the restaurant, Chisaki turned his head to the corner where he saw some familiar figures were already waiting for him.
A boy with red hair, a beautiful woman, a boy with bandages like a mummy, and the last was Chisaki's target at this time, Pakura.
Chisaki smiled as he saw that the boy with red hair had fulfilled his promise toward him, as he immediately went toward the table where the three sat together.
" Yo Sasori, Nice weather, In'it?"
" ... "
Hmm.. why Sasori's face was sour? Well, it could be said that the 'promise' was more like blackmail.
Last night, Chisaki went toward Sasori where he decided to ask Sasori a favor, and if Sasori was to refuse, he would not be polite to show some of his research results to Sasori.
Back to the present, Chisaki ignored Sasori and immediately sat at the rightmost corner of the seat, right in front of Pakura who also looked at him with curiosity in her eyes.
" Well, good afternoon Pakura. It is the first time we speak, right?"
