Ch. 8 Bug Zapper

As Tsuki's thoughts continue regarding Shin, he realizes Shin's expression is calm. So much, as if time itself is stagnant for him; "Truly, this boy is not as simple as he made himself to be. That attack was missed but he is acting as if he had accomplished something."

As his mind wanders, a sound of rumbling causes Tsuki to look toward the sky. Seeing the scene above him, his eyes almost pop out of his eye socket.

With the battlefield as the center. The clouds above it are moving ominously as if invisible hands were molding them. The rattling of thunder and the spark of lightning dancing and moving within it. As if a being of calamity bidding it time to descend and place judgment upon the sinners. As the second continues, a snake-like being appears moving within the cloud staring down.

Tsuki continues to stare at what he believes to be Shin's trump card. He wants to notify his team but the pressure and fright he is feeling tells him to not move. He feels if he moves, that being might strike him down despite knowing this attack is meant for the enemy.

In his lonesome terror, he guessed that Shin's proficiency in Raiton release has reached the point of calling nature itself to do his bidding. Feeling his heart pounding a mile a second, his nerve is about to break because of the tension in the air; "How can Shin still be outside of the barrier and not get hit?"

"What's wrong kid, all out of chakra?" Ai spoke with a sneer; "If you can't, we'll make our move."

Shin's face was still indifferent despite Ai's ridicule, Ai's face darkened. He shouted in a stern voice; "Attack! Spread out and surround him. I don't believe that he can make any big waves."

" Kill Him!" Kumo Ninja shouts as they move in with purpose in mind, not just following orders but redeeming themselves. With the first two attacks by Shin. They were humiliated, and insulted by being toyed around by Shin. While Shin's chakra is low, they see this as the opportunity to take back their honor with his death.

300 meters away.

100 meters away.

50 meters away.

20 meters away.

10 meters away.

Shin silently calculated the distance between him and the enemy. While feeling the circulation of his chakra resonating with the thundercloud above him. For the first time in his life, he felt what it was like to wield great power beyond one understanding.

" You are dead now!" scream a Kumo ninja who was part of the group that was the first to reach a few meters away from Shin's position. With their seals finished, they begin their attack.

Simply, since Shin had disgraced them with his Jutsu. They want to do the same, the only difference between the action is they aim to kill.

'Raiton release: Dragon Roar'

'Raiton release: Electric Overdose'

'Raiton release: Lightning Beam '

The subsequent outcry of jutsu goes off one after another. Various attacks were launched at Shin who still has dispassion on his face.

Within the cave, Shizune who was watching all of the happenings could no longer hold back and started to move intending to assist cover for Shin followed by a few others with the same intention. Suddenly, Tsuki shouted making them stop in their tracks; " Genin, retreat to the wounded and erect all the barriers you know to cover for them and wait for a Jonin to come for you. Until then, hold the barrier and protect the wounded. Jonin and Chonin, all of you with me. We will maintain and strengthen this barrier with all the chakra you have. Now Go!"

Shocked and confused but the Konoha ninja did as they were ordered to. On the battlefield, the attack was seconds away to hit its target. At the last moment, Shin suddenly flickers and disappears from everyone's view. The Kumo ninja was confused but the Konoha ninja know the final attack has started and brace themselves.

Ai, who was on a small hill a distance away from the battlefield suddenly shouted when he noticed something was wrong with the sky above him; " Everyone retreats now! It's a trap, Retreat Now! Fall back immediately!"

Ai's face was filled with a mixture of emotions. Fear, terror, and disbelief were notable. His pupil trembles as his body stiffens at what he was witnessing happening above him. His brother, Bee, tries to prod him. Confused with the order his brother has given, wanting to know the reason why.

" What you say is true, I don't have enough chakra for another big attack. But I don't need as much for the one I'm gonna do now. With this attack, all of you foolish Kumo ninjas can't hide or run for cover. This is your punishment for invading The Land Of Fire. This is your punishment for threatening the people of Konoha. Your judgment is Death!" Shin's self-monologue while he finishes the final Seal that completed the synchronization between his chakra and the thundercloud in the sky.

On a small hill just behind the cave, his comrade was hiding in. Shin stands with his right-hand rise high. Overlooking the battlefield, Kumo Ninja has realized the predicament they are in. Started to retreat as they are ordered to. With a smile of satisfaction, his right hand struck down.

'Raiton Release: Qilin'

A huge thunderous roar bellowed from the atmosphere. The crackling of lightning breaks the cloud-covered sky, signaling the start of a massacre. In a flash of light, a being of electricity descended on the battlefield.

Boom!!!

Just like that, it ended but the horror still lingers on those who survived and witnessed everything within the second it happened. The attack was destructive, it left the forest that surrounded the battlefield barren and cinder. Some might even compare it to a tail beast bomb. The aftershock of the attack was not lacking because it caused the cloud to disperse.

After a few minutes, everyone recovered from their daze. The battlefield was a mess, it was no longer covered by the shadow of the forest canopy but an exact picture of scotch earth. The trees have disappeared, and the rocks are molten, with some hills that have been razed to the ground.

As for the Kumo Ninja, not even their bones were left. Vaporize with everything they have on them. What was left of the Kumo Ninja is those that stayed behind to guard Ai and his brother.

Konoha Ninja:

" Please tell me I am dreaming."

" If we didn't have this cave as cover, I believe our fate would be the same."

"Are you blind? If not for Tsuki-san's order to strengthen the barrier in advance, we would likely die even if we have this cave as cover."

"Well, both of you are blind. This barrier can hold back those Kumo for two days and was strengthened by all of us left cracked and weakened by that attack alone."

"That jutsu was the most powerful and terrifying technique I have ever seen in my life"

The Konoha ninja let themselves go and let out relief. However, everyone knows deep down they too are afraid of Shin but their respect for him overshadows it.

" You bastard, you fucking bastard! First, you humiliated me not once but twice. Then you murdered my subordinate!" Ai and Bee rush into the ruin toward Shin who has returned to his previous standing before the big attack.

The few Kumo ninja didn't follow their leader's pursuit. As they are now, with their number reduced from hundreds to a mire 10 party member not including Ai and Bee. They are at a disadvantage, not just because of how powerful Shin has portrayed himself to be but also because the Konoha ninja outnumbers them. What's fear them the most was mostly the former, a mire Genin nearly wipe out the entire Kumo elite force.

"Murder you say, me, a murderer. Now let me tell you: Those who kill will be killed by others. So, unless you are willing to forfeit. Just deal with it and come at me." Shin spoke lace with coldness.

"Very good, you've spoken wisely." Ai sullenly said before shouting sharply;

"I wasn't prepared before but now you will know why us brothers are dreaded by all within the Ninja World!

Using three great ninjutsu in succession. Your chakra reserve is noteworthy but it won't be enough against me. I want to see what you have, Uchiha Shin.

As long as you fall into my hands, I'll crush your bones and let you know the power of the Cloud. I'll let you know that the dignity of the Cloud cannot be violated!"
