Near the village hidden in the leaves, there was a man walking towards the entrance. This man had yellow hair and blue eyes, along with whiskers, his Konoha uniform looked as if it was barely holding itself together from training. The teenager was wrapped up in some bandages, probably from serious wounds. His headband was also barely recognizable as it had been severely damaged. The two guards on duty recognized this man even if he looked very different than before, it was Naruto Uzumaki!

Before any of them could say anything he was gone from their vision. Naruto appeared on a tall water tank overlooking the entire village. "I'm finally back, they made some changes it seems." [Yeah, it's good to be home. Not that I missed it or anything!] said a deep voice only he could hear. "Look, they even have that pervs face on the Hokage mountain." said Naruto grinning, there was a deep chuckle in his mind, "It would be a lot easier to talk to you if I knew your name, fox." [I told you I don't have a name!] "I know you do." the voice didn't respond this time

Naruto then sighed, over these past years he and the fox had talked a lot and they often talked outside of just meditation, but he still couldn't get his name out of him. Naruto then used another ability the fox gave him, Naruto spread his senses out and could basically a sensory ninja now, it was pretty cool. This was given to him by the fox after talking for a while. "Oh, there she is." Naruto then flickered away with great speed.

On one of the training fields, there was a dark-haired pale girl, she was practicing taijutsu by hitting a tree in various areas that would be chakra points for humans. "Hey Hinata." she was completely caught off guard by the voice and spun around to attack, she used a few very fast, powerful, and accurate attacks but none of them hit. When she looked up she saw a person she hadn't seen in three years! "Naruto?" Hinata was shocked to see him."Yep, I just got back." "You just got back, and you want to see me?" said Hinata turning a little red, "Yeah, I was thinking we could get some ramen, want to?" Hinata nodded and they left, they soon reached the Ichiraku ramen shop.

Naruto flipped up the curtain and entered the ramen shop, "Naruto is that you!" yelled Ayame surprised, she then saw Hinata next to him, 'Ok Naruto, making moves, good job, maybe I can get some juicy details!' she thought. Teuchi then walked out from the back after hearing Naruto's name, after talking for a little he got their ramen orders, "No need to pay, this one is on the house." he said with a smile. Naruto and Hinata ate their ramen while Ayame tried to get as much detail out of them as possible, Naruto just ignored her, over his past three years on Mount Myoboku the one thing he learned best was patience. Now after his training he could easily sit in the same place without moving a muscle for many hours, maybe even days if he really wanted to.

After finishing his meal an ANBU member appeared outside of Ichiraku ramen, "The Hokage has requested you." Naruto nodded and left to go see Jiraiya. Naruto soon arrived inside the Hokage's office, once inside Naruto saw Sasuke, Kakashi, and Sakura, it seemed Sakura had already been made a jonin. "Pervy sage, what do you want from me?" Jiraiya didnt like being called that but didn't want to make a scene.

"Well, I want to know how strong both you and Sasuke's training was, so I want you two to spar." Sasuke already knew of this and was ready, Naruto nodded, "Ok, sounds fun, when do we start?" Jiraiya, Kakashi, Sakura, Sasuke, and Naruto all walked to a training ground. Kakashi was looking forward to this, he knew how strong Sasuke was but he had no idea about Naruto. Jiraiya then stepped in the middle of them, "you can go all out but I don't want you to make too big of a mess." Both Naruto and Sasuke nodded, they would soon have their rematch.

-in the sand village-

It was nighttime in the sand village and there seemed to be almost nobody around. Gaara was sitting in his office doing some late-night paperwork, he looked out his window and saw a bright white bird flying overhead, 'that bird is not from here' Gaara then rushed his sand at the bird, the bird skillfully maneuvered and dodged the attack, it then dove for the Kazekage building. when it started getting close to the building someone jumped off.

Gaara knew who it was after looking at his clothes, "the Akatsuki." the Akatsuki member reached into his pouch, Gaara reacted quickly and rushed his sand at him, the Akatsuki member then jumped up on top of his bird escaping the sand chasing him. They raced through all of the village, Gaara's sand was fast but not fast enough.

The few jonin that were guarding the village got knocked over from the wind pressure of the intense chase. The Akatsuki member on the bird was waiting for something, "Just a little more." his hand continued to chew on something. Suddenly the sand was now in front of him, he gasped and quickly dodged upwards. Gaara knew the man was clearly trying to buy time for something but couldn't catch him with his sand.

"You're pretty good," said the Akatsuki member. Gaara then made a platform so he could stand and fly in the air himself. 'What a handy ability for a jinchuriki' "How did you know I was an intruder?" "There are no birds like that in this desert." "I see" the sand was soon alerted about the Akatsuki member and quickly made preparations to help protect their Kazekage. "It seems the covert action is a failure, I hope this doesn't take too long, Sasori will be pissed."

Gaara raised his hands and sand from all over the village rose up and created a giant wave of sand headed for the Akatsuki member, "He has the advantage as I figured, this is a real mess," said the Akatsuki member is known as Deidara. Deidara then created multiple small bombs in his hand and threw them at Gaara's sand which defended him, "the real art is about to begin!" again multiple bombs were thrown at Gaara and created lots of explosions.

'He uses strange explosives, and he is able to guide them, huh?' thought Gaara, "I've pretty much got it now." said Deidara ready to fight. Gaara then created a giant claw that looked like the arm of Shukaku! The arm ran around and actually almost caught Deidara but he still got away. The Akatsuki member then threw out more bombs, "They're fast now!"

The sand tried to catch the explosives but couldn't. After getting close the bombs exploded, the people of the village who were watching were horrified, "Gaara!" when the dust cloud settled there was a giant ball of sand protecting Gaara, "I won't let you hurt me or the sand village that easily!" At this time in Konoha, Sasuke's sword and Naruto's chakra blades made their first clash!

End of the chapter, I want Naruto and Kurama to have a longer relationship than in the original if you want to see more of Kurama and Naruto's relationship, same with Hinata.
