In the morning, just before his departure, Michikatsu entered Kakashi's room. Upon seeing him, Kakashi questioned, "Are you leaving, brother?"

Michikatsu replied, "Yes, I am, but I came here specifically to meet you." He then presented a pot, placing it into Kakashi's hands.

Kakashi, bewildered by the gesture, asked, "What's this pot for?"

Michikatsu explained, "I want you to hold onto this pot. If anything occurs within our family, especially concerning our father, I need you to inform me."

Kakashi's face filled with concern upon hearing about their father. "I don't fully understand, brother," he admitted.

"Just promise me that you'll do as I say," Michikatsu urged.

Although still confused, Kakashi nodded and said, "I promise I will."

With this exchange, Michikatsu concluded his brief conversation with Kakashi, bidding him and their mother farewell before departing for his mission.

----

At the Konoha gate, Nawaki stood waiting for Michikatsu, and when he arrived, he couldn't resist teasing, "You're late."

Michikatsu countered, "Am I really? I'm here before the agreed-upon time." Then he turned his attention to the squad of 15 ninja assembled there.

"As you're aware, I'll be leading this mission. If anyone has an issue with my leadership, speak up now," Michikatsu declared.

None of the squad members stepped forward to express any dissatisfaction. They were well aware of Michikatsu's strength and had likely heard of his heroic feats during the war, as many of them had also participated.

"Excellent. Then you must all understand our mission. Our objective is to prevent any transaction between Iwagakure and Kusagakure from taking place," Michikatsu explained.

He concluded, "Let's get going. We need to reach Kusagakure as quickly as possible, which should take us about three days." With Nawaki and the rest of the 15 ninja squad, Michikatsu departed from Konoha.

The news of their departure reached Hiruzen, who could only hope that Michikatsu's mission would proceed successfully.

Three days later, in the office of Kusakage, a red-haired individual sat across from the Kusakage. This person was none other than Roshi, the Four-Tails Jinchuriki of Iwagakakure.

Roshi spoke, "I gave you a day to think about our proposal, and today I need your answer."

Kusakage replied, "We agree to allow Iwagakure to establish their base in Kusagakure, but as promised, you must first provide us with 5 B-Level Ninjutsu and 15 C-Level Ninjutsu."

Roshi nodded, signaling one of the Iwagakure ninjas who presented a scroll containing the promised Ninjutsu.

Just as this exchange was happening, a Jonin entered the Kusakage's office. This wasn't just any ordinary Jonin; it was Gari, the wielder of Explosion Release.

"Roshi-Sama, one of our ninja teams has spotted Konoha ninjas approaching our location," Gari reported to Roshi.

Roshi inquired, "How many ninjas?"

Gari provided the information, saying, "According to our scouts, it appears to be a squad, and the individuals leading them are none other than the 'Blood Demon' and the 'Fist Demon.'"

Roshi nodded in understanding and declared, "Alright, I'll join you. Eliminating these two, the 'Blood Demon' and the 'Fist Demon', here would be a significant victory for Iwagakure. Two of Konoha's most talented ninjas meeting their end here will deal a severe blow to them."

Gari proposed, "We have a substantial force from Iwagakure. Allow me to handle them. I promise to bring back their heads."

After some contemplation, Roshi agreed with Gari's suggestion, realizing that their large number of elite ninjas from Iwagakure would likely secure victory against the 'Blood Demon' and the 'Fist Demon.'

However, there was another crucial reason for Roshi's decision to avoid an immediate confrontation. The Four-Tails within him was particularly restless at the moment, and he couldn't afford to battle and simultaneously manage the volatile tailed beast's power.

Gari received the nod of approval from Roshi and exited the Kusakage's office to prepare for the impending encounter.

Roshi then turned to Kusakage and stated, "I need a place to rest."

Kusakage acknowledged his request and signaled to one of the ninjas to guide Roshi to a suitable resting place.

Once Roshi had left, a Kusagakure Jonin voiced concerns to Kusakage, saying, "Is it wise for us to oppose Konoha?"

Kusakage turned to the Jonin and questioned, "Do you think we have any other choice?"

"Even after the war ends, and Iwagakure withdraws from our borders, if Konoha questions us about granting shelter to Iwagakure, we could claim we were coerced. Given the nature of the Third Hokage, whom I've known, with a few compensations, we might get away with it. But have you seen the number of Iwagakure ninjas who've arrived? And, not to forget, Iwagakure's Jinchuriki. Their intentions are crystal clear. If we reject their proposal, they'll likely destroy our village immediately or forcibly take control until the war's conclusion. It's a harsh reality, but as a small village, we remain vulnerable to the will of the major powers, and survival often demands compromise." Kusakage's voice carried a sense of resignation, acknowledging the village's difficult position.
