Kiyomi was still stressed about Michikatsu's departure for the battlefield, even after he tried to explain. Michikatsu said, "Mother, don't worry. With my strength, I will not only survive the battlefield but also achieve great feats and advance in the ranks of ninja as if I were riding a rocket. Just take care of Kakashi and listen to my accomplishments, okay? Believe in me; I'm virtually immortal. No one can kill me, but I can outwit them with my tricks."

Kiyomi finally calmed down and said, "I know you have regenerative abilities, but please remember to be careful and promise me that you will return alive."

"Is it even necessary to ask? I will definitely return alive," said Michikatsu with a smile.

After that, Michikatsu played with Kakashi and went to his training ground, where he was breathing heavily. He thought, "A few more days, and I will be able to master this breathing technique and enter the first stage. In that form, I will be twice as powerful as I am now."

Michikatsu continued to train further and aimed to control his 'Blood Demon Art' with more precision.

The next morning, Michikatsu went to the Senju clan compound to meet Nawaki. At that moment, Nawaki was preparing to leave for the battlefield. Michikatsu was guided to Nawaki's room by a servant of the Senju clan.

Nawaki also emerged from his room to greet Michikatsu and asked, "Hello, Michikatsu. What brings you here so early in the morning?"

Michikatsu gave Nawaki something wrapped in a beautiful cloth and said while giving it Nawaki, "Happy Birthday"

Nawaki was surprised because he wasn't expecting Michikatsu to give him a gift, especially since he was only the second person to offer him a birthday present and wish him well.

"Take it! This is your gift," Michikatsu said.

"Yes," Nawaki took the object wrapped in cloth and, when he opened it, found a finely crafted sword.

Michikatsu explained, "This is a weapon made from Chakra-infused metal and will be very useful if you plan to master swordsmanship."

"Thank you very much. I will cherish this sword," Nawaki replied.

"Okay, then we will meet at noon at the Konoha gate," said Michikatsu before disappearing using the 'Body Flicker technique.'

"He gave me such a wonderful gift and didn't even smile once. What an odd guy," Nawaki remarked.

Afterward, Tsunade also gave Nawaki a gift, which was her grandfather's necklace.

Michikatsu returned to his house and gathered everything necessary for his journey to the battlefield.

"Are you ready to go to the battlefield?" Kiyomi asked Michikatsu.

"Yes," replied Michikatsu.

"Please be careful," said Kiyomi.

After this, Michikatsu left immediately. When he reached the gate of Konoha, he found Nakamura, Matsuda, and Nawaki waiting there.

"Why are we the only ones here? Where is the reinforcement squad?" Michikatsu asked.

"We've been assigned to another mission. Our task is to transport supplies to Amagekure. Since the reinforcement squad is moving in a different direction, it will be easier for us to complete our mission," Nakamura explained while showing the sealing scroll.

"Alright, then let's get moving. We don't have much time," Nakamura added.

Nawaki and Matsuda nodded in agreement, but Michikatsu narrowed his eyes; he could sense a conspiracy at play.

Deep within the forest, far from Konoha, there was a team of ninjas dressed entirely in black, wearing the attire of Sunagakure's Anbu. Behind them lay the bodies of three individuals, all wearing Konoha village forehead protectors; they were the patrolling team from Konoha.

The captain of the ninja team declared, "We've received information that Senju Nawaki, the grandson of the 'First Hokage,' has displayed signs of awakening the Wood Release. This is a situation we cannot allow to persist. Our mission objective is to eliminate the threat posed by someone appearing same as the 'First Hokage,' and not to forget, in his company is the son of Hatake Sakumo, who, at the tender age of five, has already demonstrated the strength of a Chunin. We must eliminate him as well."

"Yes, Captain. With you as a Jonin, and both of us as Special Jonins along with our 7 Chunin team members, we will undoubtedly accomplish this mission," affirmed one of the team members.

"Very well. Stay focused. We must execute this mission flawlessly, with no room for error," commanded the captain.

After traveling for a whole day and night, with regular breaks for rest, Nakamura stopped in the morning and addressed everyone, saying, "You all must be tired after traveling for so long. Rest for a few hours, and then we will continue our journey to Amegakure."

Michikatsu and the others nodded and settled down to rest. However, Michikatsu, with his keen senses, detected the presence of various people. He remarked, "Nakamura, Jonin, I can smell the scent of different people. It seems there were quite a few individuals around here just before we arrived."

Nakamura replied, "There might have been some people who passed by here. Perhaps they were Konoha's patrolling teams."

Nakamura's response left Nawaki somewhat puzzled because in such situations, a Jonin would typically investigate the real situation. Nevertheless, Michikatsu nodded at Nakamura's answer and didn't ask any further questions and as Michikatsu didn't ask any further question so Nawaki also didn't.

After resting for two hours and everyone had recovered and was ready to continue, Nakamura said, "You all continue moving; I will join you after verifying something." With that, Nakamura swiftly disappeared using the 'Body Flicker technique.'

Nawaki suggested, "Alright, let's continue our journey. Our teacher will catch up with us later."

As they proceeded, Nawaki had only advanced about ten meters when his entire body became entangled in strings. The controller of these strings was none other than Michikatsu. Without wasting any time, Michikatsu quickly pulled Nawaki away from the trap and retreated in the opposite direction.
