Chapter 3

Due to the current tense atmosphere of the village and their current predicament of constantly losing manpower, Hiruzen had decided to adopt the orphans of the massacred villages into Konoha and train them in the academy to replenish his forces which was something he usually didn't do but desperate times call for desperate measures.

However that didn't mean he was going to invite a poisonous snake into his beautiful garden. Every single one of those orphans' minds were properly browsed by the Yamanaka clan and only after they were cleared, were they allowed to enter Konoha. However that wasn't the end of it as for the first few days they would be monitored by either a genin or a chunin as an extra precaution just in case there were stragglers who were capable of deceiving the Yamanaka clan though such a situation in itself was extremely rare as the Yamanaka clan's mind techniques were extremely powerful.

Yuu had undergone being mind read like everyone else before being cleared to be admitted to the Konoha hospital. However what everyone didn't realize was that the Yamanaka clan technique had only read the memories of the original Yuu located deep within his mind however the memories of the current Yuu had been left completely untouched which meant that none of them knew that the current Yuu was an entirely different person from the old Yuu. This was a mistake that would one day come to cost not only Konoha but the entire shinobi world.

Yuu now stood in his small apartment room. He looked around at his room with curiosity. The room had the basic furniture setup. There was a table, a chair. In one corner there was a small kitchen with a few utensils and a small refrigerator while in another corner there was a door leading to a washroom and another leading to a small bedroom. In his bedroom was a small bed with a few sheets and pillow placed on top of It and a small closet.

Yuu nodded in appreciation at the sight of his new accommodation. He then walked towards his bedroom where he lay on top off as he gradually fell asleep.

The next morning, he was woken up by a knock on the door. He opened it to find himself face to face with a young girl around his current age. She was beautiful with long yellow hair and sea blue eyes. She was dressed in short purple shirt that ended halfway between her breast and her waist. Her shorts were also short stopping only a few inches above the knee. Over her shorts was a short skirt that was ripped in half both on her front and back end making It look more like two large, long purple fabrics had been hung on her waist rather than a skirt. Yuu recognized her immediately as she was a well-known character of Naruto.

"Hi" said the girl in a jovial mood as she stretched her hand "my name is Ino Yamanaka"

"Yuu Sakamoto" replied Yuu politely as he shook her hand. Her palm felt soft and warm unlike his calloused hands.

"So Ino Yamanaka, what are you doing here?" asked Yuu. He was sure that he had never met this girl before and had no idea why she showed up at his doorstep first thing in the morning.

"Oh were you not told. One of the teachers in the academy assigned me to show you around" she said with a bright smile.

"I see…" muttered Yuu in surprise and realization. This was most likely the Hokage's doing however whether this was simply a newcomer's tutorial of the village or something else, Yuu couldn't figure out yet. Despite being a reincarnated person, Yuu had no delusion that he was smart enough to outsmart someone old and experienced as Hiruzen Sarutobi and hence after a while he simply gave up on trying to find a hidden reason for this current event however he still ensured to behave like a normal child who had lost his entire home and village and thanks to the constant emotions of the previous owner of the body, Yuu had no problem acting like a child lashing out at the world.

"Very well just give me a few minutes to get ready" said Yuu after which he quickly shut the apartment door not even giving Ino a chance to respond.

Ino couldn't believe what just happened as she stood outside the closed door, her cheeks puffed in anger. First, she was chosen against her will by the classroom teacher at the academy to show one of the new incoming orphans around the village and the school. Even now she could still hear the mocking laugh of Sakura who she knew would take this opportunity to get even closer to Sasuke now that she was temporarily no longer in the picture.

The only thing that surprised her and was probably the only good thing to happen to her today was the fact that the orphan she met was actually quite handsome. He was a bit taller than her with tanned skin, short curly purple hair and eyes as greener than anything she had ever seen. His hands were calloused probably from working on a farm or something as she knew from her father that he was civilian living in one of the smaller villages within the land of Fire before everyone in it was massacred.

"Bastard!!! Just because you lost your family doesn't mean you have to be an asshole about it" muttered Ino under her breath as she angrily glared at the door. She however quickly cooled down as despite her anger at Yuu's rude behaviour she knew that he had lost all of his loved ones and hence was willing to be more understanding as had been requested by both her father and her teacher.

Half an hour later, Yuu walked out of the door having quickly brushed his teeth, had a small breakfast consisting of milk and bread that he had found in the refrigerator last night, had a shower but still wore the same clothes as they were the only clothes he had.

"Let's get on with it" said Yuu to which Ino nodded. And so the entire day was spent with Ino showing Yuu around Konoha telling him important information such as where the training grounds were, the food market, the Financial building, Jutsu library e.t.c . At some point they stopped in the Finance building where Yuu obtained his first month's allowance which he used to purchase a few things during the rest of the tour such as clothes, groceries among other things.

It was already evening when they returned back to Yuu's apartment.

"…..And that's it for the tour of Konoha. Tomorrow, ensure that you arrive at the ninja academy by 7 am" said Ino

Yuu nodded "Alright, thank you for the tour" he said in a polite tone with a small smile.

"No worries, alright see you tomorrow"

And with that Ino left to go back to her clan's compound.

That night Yuu lay on his bed, his mind constantly pondering on what he had experienced that day. Even now as he thought about the fact that he had been touring the famous Konoha village of the shinobi world, he couldn't help but think that he was still dreaming however the mysterious energy coursing through his body alongside his new abilities reminded him that he was no longer on Earth.
