Chapter 17

In this one month, he had managed to reduce the hand signs of most of his E, D and C-rank fire Jutsus to one or two hand sign while a few could be actually be performed with no hand signs at all.

"Today we are here to conduct your end of third year and also the end of ninja school examinations." Said Iruka.

"The exam is divided into two parts. The first part will require you to perform a clone technique. For those of you however with previously acknowledged circumstances, you will be allowed to skip this portion of the exam and move on to the second part of the exams in which you will need to compete against an instructor in a field of your choice be it in taijutsu, ninjutsu or genjutsu. Your grades will be decided based on your performance in either field." Explained Iruka "However that doesn't mean that you have to defeat your instructor in that field in order to pass as that would be asking too much of children who haven't even become genin. All you need to do is choose a field you are good at and do your best. The grades will be decided based on your performance so remember to try your best."

"Does anyone have any questions regarding the two exam parts?" questioned Iruka to which every student answered with a silent shake of their head.

"Very well let us begin"

Iruka began to call students forward one by one asking them to perform the clone technique which was an E-rank Jutsu that created a copy of one's self however this copy was merely a material illusion and hence wasn't capable of interacting with anything nor performing any Jutsus making it only useful for providing distractions while the caster prepared other jutsus to defeat their opponent. However there was no useless or weak Jutsu as every Jutsu, depending on the caster, could be utilized to form deadly attacks as seen by Shisui Uchiha who combined this Jutsu alongside his D-rank high speed body flicker technique in order to create a deadly technique that made him renown throughout the world as Shisui of the body Flicker which he used in the third Great ninja war to slaughter many enemy jonin and chunin.

Yuu watched as everyone called forward performed the clone technique. There were even some who could create two or three clones like Ino, Choji, Kiba and Shino. When it came to Sasuke, he managed to create five clones which resulted in numerous wows and awes from all the students as even the instructors were impressed as one had to remember that this was a boy who wasn't yet a Genin.

Soon it was Naruto Uzumaki's turn and everyone bore witness to the first person in the entire class to fail the simple clone technique. Each time Naruto created a clone, it came out as a mishappen monstrosity that make a few struggle to hold down their puke. Even Yuu was a little disgusted by the images of the misshaped clone despite having already seen ripped out guts from dead shinobi. Eventually after five minutes, the instructors had to stop Naruto from continuing to create his abominations and told him to return to his seat however everyone knew that he had failed the entire exam as passing the first part of the exam was mandatory.

Soon it was Yuu's turn. Yuu walked forward amidst the cheers of encouragement from Ino, Choji and even the lazy Shikamaru. Iruka nodded at Yuu.

"You can begin"

Yuu slowly formed the hand signs despite not needing to and after kneading his chakra into said signs, a loud puff sound was created next to him forming two exact replicas of himself to which Ino and Choji cheered while Shikamaru and the rest of the class watched in silence.

"Well done" congratulated Iruka to which Yuu nodded and returned to his seat.

"Way to go!" cheered Ino

"Good job!" said Choji while giving him a thumbs up

"Your clone Jutsu was superb" finally said Shikamaru after a few seconds while giving the smiling Yuu a hard stare before turning his attention elsewhere.

"Thanks. You guys did well too." Said Yuu.

Eventually the entire exam was done and apart from Naruto, everyone else had passed. Yuu alongside everyone else who passed left the room and headed towards the training grounds leaving a sad and pitiful Naruto alone in the classroom.

On the training grounds, a long table had been placed in which seated on the chairs were the different Jonin instructors who would be forming their own three genin-jonin mentorship. Among them were familiar jonin from the anime such as Kurenai Yuhi, Asuma Sarutobi, Might Guy, Kakashi Hatake alongside a few he didn't know. Still seeing all those powerful elite jonin lined up in front of him made Yuu a bit nervous as even after assimilating everything from those he had killed, training his chakra control to high medical grade level and even training his fire manipulation to a high level, his current level of overall power was only high jonin level which while impressive didn't mean shit when compared to the each of the Peak high level and elite jonin in front of him capable of easily defeating multiple jonin level shinobi on their own.

Yuu knew that even one of them was enough to deal with him let alone all of them. Yuu couldn't help but wonder just how many shinobi he would need to kill and assimilate in order to surpass all of them and reach Kage level.

However, the biggest surprise for Yuu was when he saw the Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi and his shadow Hokage partner Danzo Shimura seated in the middle of the table.

Hiruzen was seated dressed in formal Hokage wear with a white cloak and the famous Hokage hat positioned on his head. He looked old yet Yuu was sure that even his current physique couldn't compare to that of this old man who, despite his old age, was most likely at high jonin level. That's what it meant to be a Kage level shinobi.

Danzo on the other hand was dressed in a long dark robe which covered the entire of his bottom half and the entire of his right side in which he kept his right arm hidden. Half of the right side of his face was covered by a white bandage and in his left arm was a wooden cane. When a person looked at him, they would think of him as nothing more than a weak old man but Yuu wasn't fooled as he knew from the shows that this person was also a Kage level shinobi who while not as strong as Hiruzen was still quite powerful. Especially his famous Vacuum techniques capable of erasing shinobi and their Jutsu with ease. There was a reason he was able to effectively lead the Root department known for possessing multiple talented and powerful shinobi.

"Hello, my name is Seta Haru, and I will be leading this section of the examination." Said a middle-aged man dressed in Jonin attire of a green jacket. He pointed to three people, two men and one woman.
