-8- Dojutsus

What shocked Renji was how many different dojutsus there were in Narakai.

While learning about some of the different clans, he learned that this world had more dojutsus than just the Sharingan of the Uchiha clan, the Byakugan of the Hyuga clan, and the Ketsuryugan of the Chinoike clan. He didn't hear anything about the Rinnegan or the Tenseigan so he wasn't sure if this world had them or if they were just extremely rare, but there were several more dojutsus in this world.

But first, he learned some information about the Sharingan and the Byakugan. In this world, these two eyes were a little less common. In Naruto, most people from these respective clans would end up with these kekkei genkais, but in this world, that wasn't the case. However there were so much more people in this world that there were still plenty of people being born each year that would eventually unlock these eyes. With both the Sharingan and the Byakugan only being found in around 5 out of 100 people from the Uchiha and Hyuga clans.

Next, he learned about several dojutsus from various clans.

With the first one being a huge shock, unfortunately, he didn't have this eye. It was the Jikugan from the Namikaze clan. This dojutsu was even more rare than the Sharingan and the Byakugan, with only 1 out of 10,000 people being able to unlock it, with most doing it before the age of 5, so it was unlikely for Renji to ever unlock this eye, but that didn't mean he didn't want it and it didn't really bother him that he would have to potentially kill a fellow Namikaze to get one.

The Jikugan meant Space-time Eye. In its base form, this eye was essentially a storage scroll or pocket dimension, with its user able to store objects in a personal pocket dimension. Unlike the Sharingan and the Byakugan, this eye wasn't really that helpful in combat, but it did have its uses. Also, instead of unlocking two eyes the user only unlocks one.

In its base form, the eye is predominantly blue with varying shades. The central pupil is a deep black with a dark blue surrounding it and a lighter blue surrounding the dark blue. Fine lines radiate from the pupil, branching out like the arms of a galaxy, with small, glinting specks that look like stars scattered throughout the eye. The outer edge of the eye has a faint shimmering silver lining.

Also, after combining 5 pairs of these eyes, the Jikugan would upgrade to the Sekai Jikugan, which means World Dimension Eye. This eye is able to create mystic realms of various sizes based on the skill and strength of the user. The mystic realm the Obsidian Hand is currently in was supposedly created by a Sekai Jikugan that the grandmaster Shirokuma Kazan had.

In this second form, the eye is still predominantly blue but with added silver and violet colors. There is a new swirling pattern that becomes more complex, and with additional layers or rings appearing around the central pupil, the more skilled the user becomes.

If upgraded once more by combining another five eyes for a total of 10, this eye could give the user Short-range teleportation with an average 15-meter radius, but it could also slightly increase to a maximum of 30 meters if fully mastered.

It also gives the user the ultimate ability called Dimensional Overload, which allows the user to overload the mystic realm with energy, leading to a powerful implosion able to kill or heavily injure someone within. However, this ability comes with a significant risk to the user, and if overused like the Sharingan, the user would start to go blind.

In its final form, the eye incorporates even more vibrant colors like bright azure and shimmering silver, with subtle hints of other elemental colors like red, green, and light blue. Additionally tiny, rune-like symbols start to appear between the rings the more skilled the user gets in their control over the eye.

[A/n: If you want to skip some of the dojutsu abilities below it is fine, but I do suggest you at least skim over them. I found them to be very interesting, but of course, I created them so I would find them interesting.]

The next dojutsu was called the Kaorigan which means Fragrance Eye. This eye came from the Tsume clan from the Uchihas Empire of Eternal Flames. It gives the user the ability to visualize scents allowing for users to easily track people, animals, or objects. It also has several other abilities such as Scent Identification that allowed the user to identify specific scents and easily differentiate between them.

Scent Analysis that gives the user the ability to analyze the chemical composition of scents, allowing them to identify ingredients, components, or the nature of a scent.

Scent Memory where the user can recall all scents encountered before.

Scent Manipulation and Illusory Scents are two more abilities of this dojutsu.

The Kaorigan is a vibrant yellow with a swirling pattern that seems to form trails.

Next was the Kinzokugan which means Metal Eye. It is from the Kajiya clan from the Sarutobi and Shimura clans of the Empire of Ironwind.

This dojutsu gives the user the ability to create, control, sense, analyze, and fuse metal.

It is also known to give some users the kekkei genkai of Magnet release.

The Kinzokugan has a striking silver iris with intricate metallic patterns and a central pupil that glows with a steely blue hue.

There are also several other dojutsu, with some of them being strong and some being weak, but overall, the Sharingan was still the king of the dojutsus if eyes like the Rinnegan weren't included.

He also learned a little more about the Obsidian Hand, or the Hand, which is what it was internally known as.

And according to his teacher, they weren't the evil terrorist organization the world and his parents made them out to be. That or they were just starting the brainwashing on day one. He didn't really know, but according to the teacher, they were created by that guy called Shirokuma Kazan 50 or so years ago.

It all started with him and 5 other Kage-level ninjas who later formed the council and the 5 sects: the Eyes, the Blades, the Faces, the Shields, and the Minds.

The founder supposedly wanted the Hand to be like a policing type organization with all 6 founders driven by a shared history of their clans being decimated by wars or nobles, but the empires villainized them because they didn't want them butting into their business.

And while the founding ideals aimed to stop useless wars and get rid of evil nobles, the council's vision has begun to shift from the founding council's original ideals, especially lately with the new council with all the original council members being replaced due to age other than the founder and Grandmaster Shirokuma Kazan.

Despite being in his 70s, it is said that he still has the life force of someone in his late 30s, which is supposedly thanks to being inherited by his now-deceased clan.

'His clan sounds similar to the Uzumakis with their strong life force.' Renji thought, which led him to think, 'I wonder what the average life expectancy is in this world.'

After learning about the founding ideals of the Hand, he started to hope that it was true. The teacher said that the empires and clans liked to paint them as the bad guys that caused all the problems in the world, but that that wasn't what they were.

He also mentioned another organization called the Void Order, and they supposedly only wanted to watch the world burn.

They were well known by the Hand to blame some of the things they did on the Hand.

This being one of the main reasons the world hated the Hand as much as they do.

After lunch, the teacher began to teach the subjects that actually had to do with being a ninja.

"For the first year, you will be learning about chakra, chakra control, hand signs, the basics of taijutsu and genjutsu, and lastly, shuriken and kunai throwing," Takeshi announced, his voice steady and authoritative. "Additionally, you will study the history of the Hand and famous shinobi from throughout the world, learn about various ninja tools, and practice teamwork and basic strategies. Physical conditioning will be a regular part of your training to build strength, agility, and endurance. This comprehensive training will lay the foundation for your future as shinobi."

Renji nodded his head, 'That was about what I expected. It sucks that we can't learn about jutsus yet, but you have to walk before you can run.'

Takeshi continued, "But the first thing we are going to do is learn about your affinity to chakra natures."
