Naruto: A Broken Dream

Hiroshi was never someone who would rush into a fight, he was a happy person, someone who enjoyed getting everyone to laugh alongside him, Hiroshi was Mark Baker, a weeb who one day woke up in the world of Naruto and became Hiroshi Aburame... ---------------------------------------- I wanted to see what outside the scope of canon could do to the timeline, the story would probably go into massive AU in the future, with the whole world of Elemental nations going up and down because of Hiroshi's choices. If you want to read it, give it a try as the story won't be a linear worldbuilding, and everyone would be trying to screw one another... ---------------------------------------- This novel is my attempt at trying the Simulation system trope, I liked the idea behind the system, just the execution of many novels using this troupe was a blunder to navigate due to them being mostly MTL... So here's my attempt at a Simulation type novel. If you want to read ahead or read 9 Chapters ahead- https://www.patreon.com/DesMark

5th Simulation! Part-2

{Kōchiyo Village, Land of Fire}

{10:16 AM, 18 March 78 Yrs}

[Day 34: You were on your way to Training Ground 9 when you run into Ren who complained that he was looking everywhere for you at training ground 21 but you weren't there, he told you that he wanted to register your team for the upcoming chunin exam which would start in just over a month and that he found someone to team up with. Your gaze turned towards the silver-haired shinobi, Kabuto Yakushi walked towards the two of you with a nervous expression on his face, he immediately apologized for slowing down to catch up with someone from his old team. You suppressed any expression from leaking out as Ren proposed a spar later during the day to see if Kabuto was a good fit for the team. You mutely nod before saying you need to go somewhere as you jumped on top of a nearby roof and hop on your way to the training ground.]

'...What did I change now, I haven't actually changed anything from the last simulation, I got fame as a taijutsu prodigy last time too but Kabuto didn't appear then, other than that I haven't really done anything differently.'

[Day 34: You arrive at Training Ground 9 pushing the thoughts about Kabuto out of your mind for the moment, Lee was fighting against Neji, as he failed miserably while trying to break through the Hyuga's defense, Tenten waved towards you quickly noticing your arrival so you walked towards her and Guy Sensei who were watching the spar. The battle lasted for a couple of minutes before Guy Sensei broke the pair and told them to rest, you notice that Lee didn't look downtrodden like he did yesterday, although Neji still ignored everyone as he went towards the side and sat down to catch a breather.]

{Day 34: As Tenten hopped towards the brooding Hyuga, Guy sensei motioned you to come close as he took a fighting stance. Feeling the nervousness swelling in your body you took a fighting stance as Guy Sensei rushed towards you. He wasn't faster than Lee, he was moving perfectly at the same speed as you but he was capitalizing on using feints to break through your weird taijutsu style before hammering critical blows that you weren't ready for. He then began breaking down your taijutsu style pointing out the three critical fundamental errors that it had which were harming your form, the first being your tendency to wait on your back foot in order to lessen the damage you received from hits in order to trap someone else's punch or kick. The second is your need to rely on reflexes and the lack of feints and a proper structure to the Taijutsu style because your form keeps deforming in order to set those traps. And lastly, the primary principle upon which your whole taijutsu style revolves around is to use your chakra to stick your opponent's limbs to your body, but if your opponent just overpowers the effect by flooding chakra through their tenketsu then your whole work falls apart.]

'...' Hiroshi pondered for a moment, the third flaw was not really a flaw as in the next few years he would surely have the most chakra except for the Jinchuriki's. The first and the second ones make sense though, he never noticed that his stance was always passive whenever he fought, as his taijutsu style was based on traps and making his opponents uncomfortable, by either making them hesitant to attack or using their aggression against them.

[Day 34: Guy Sensei then proceeded to explain the fundamentals of a good taijutsu style, including movement, flow, and feints. Your understanding of Vaccum fist increases as you sparred against both Lee and Neji after a while. While Lee fared better than he did yesterday, you still managed to hold him to a draw, while fighting Neji on the other hand your Taijutsu was dismantled within 10 moves. You nursed several spots on your hands and shoulder as you sat down and looked at Guy Sensei and Neji fight, upon closer inspection you notice Guy Sensei was using your taijutsu style to dismantle Neji by doing double feints with chakra taking advantage of Neji's Byakugan. Your understanding of the Vaccum fist increased as {Beginner Vacuum Fist} evolved into {Intermediate Vaccum fist}.]

'Alright, got what I needed, I don't know if I can replicate this without talking to Guy Sensei in reality but it should suffice for now, now about Kabuto, why did he appear, is it just to gather intel because I was sure he had a team full of traitors in this exam.'

[Day 34: After saying goodbye to team 9, you go back to have a light lunch before going back to training ground 21. You weren't sure what to expect from Kabuto, you can't be hostile to him under any circumstance because if he felt that you know something he won't hesitate to kill you, plus he was a genin medic unless he acted too unpleasant or arrogant there was no legitimate reason to reject him without tipping him off that something was off. But why in the hell did you catch his attention, with his reasons to participate in the chunin exam being a little nefarious he should not want to be in a team that would question his absence during the second part of the chunin exam. It was a little nerve-wracking but you went back to focus on physical conditioning and managed to keep a calm face when the silver-haired spy and Ren walked into the clearing.]

'Alright, no need to do anything just act as though Kabuto is just another genin... maybe I could even ask him about what chakra control exercises you should do as a medic-nin.'

[Day 34: All three of you sit down as you started discussing what each of you were good at, Kabuto quickly pointed out that our team composition was quite balanced, you were the instigator with your higher-than-average speed and a weird taijutsu style you would be the first point of contact, with both Kabuto and Ren supporting you from behind, Ren could use Earth Release: Earth Wall to protect anyone at any point while also using the Fireball jutsu to both distract and attack. Kabuto was the final link supporting his medical ninjutsu and poisoned senbons for the long-range attacks.]
