002 - Unexpected Situations!

'Someone from 'Note' was supposed to contact me with the information but it's late innit?'

I opened the app again and asked everyone,

[Did anyone get any information from 'Note'?- Mathew]

I waited while scrolling on my socials while reading everyone's negative response.

'It's not gonna be delayed i''s it?'

Deciding to hit up my manager for some information I called Kim.

"Hey man, wassup?" I asked

"Nothing much everything good, U need something?" Kim asked.

"Yeah, you heard something from 'Note'? It's not gonna be delayed is it?"

"No Ms. Demitri assured me everything is going as planned, she didn't elaborate on it or anything, she was kind of bitchy about it but what can we do..." Kim seemed a little upset but he bounced back quickly, "... just hang on some more my man we are almost here... plus I'm here some chatter that some pros are excited about your prospects."

"Really!??? By the way Miss. Shane raided and congratulated me!! Can you believe that?" I was excited as I stood up and walked up from my bed and towards the window.

"Yeah I saw, and Mr. Dean messaged me, he was happy about that too, we can probably negotiate a better deal next year... wait? that bitch is calling, let me sort this out for you... you just rest up and get ready to blow this out of the water tomorrow!! I'll call you. peace..." He seemed a little worried as my "...peace" was left hanging while the call disconnected.

'Pfft... he's that afraid while calling her a bitch...'

I looked at the dark sky outside and the silent streets, it has been almost 13 years since the war that had changed the landscape completely, dark clouds are now ever-present across the skyline, acid rain has eroded most of the historical structures.

'Sigh... all this shit happened just because of that arrogant asshole...'

Almost all the remaining population has retreated underground in the earlier days after the war, and even after 13 years not all of the people could afford to live in the pods above the ground...

My UVR beeped with a message from Kim.

[Check your Pod, you need to download the specially designed software for the game, the bitch said a lot of things but u just need to go through the guide the company attached, they said you would get to it cause the software would need to scan your body for at least 12 hours before the game could start.]

'...wtf? why so long?'

I walked quickly to my Pod and unlocked it with my UVR before settling down into it. As the door closed and I closed my eyes the Pod chimed, "UVR detected, beginning deep dive..."

It took a few seconds before the feeling of weightlessness overtook me and I opened my eyes, the familiar interface detailing various games and my streaming software appeared in front of me along with a notification.

[The Elemental Nations Package detected... Begin installation? A video will be played regarding all the information in the package while the installation occurs.]

I clicked on the tick mark and the game icons disappeared and darkness surrounded me. A soft feminine voice started narrating, "Congratulations Mr. Chase to the introductory video for Project Y now dubbed as the 'Elemental Nations'... the latest and final step in the exploratory VR plans. The founder of Note had a vision to connect every human through a VR network even before the war and we are finally at the last step before that day."

My surroundings started clearing and Konoha was rendered in front of me. My feet touched the ground and I realized I was standing on top of the Hokage Residence.

"All the Previous games are testing various different things, and while the Hogwarts Legacy will test the mass connection algorithm, the Elemental nations will try to achieve the final step needed for a completely new world to be birthed."

I suddenly flew from the rooftop and advanced at dizzying speed to the moon and in seconds I was looking at the map of Elemental Nations from space.

"The Elemental nations was made to test the usage of and external energy that was originally not present in humans, like chakra, you could not feel it right now because the program is still installing but unlike Hogwarts Legacy where Mana was just a bar for you to place your attention on, the chakra you will feel starting from tomorrow will be tightly interwoven with your new avatar's core"

'So that means they must have already achieved it... 100% realism... to be able to create a fully functioning artificial world...'

My eyes shone with amazement as I looked at the slowly rotating 'Earth'.

"As one of the chosen 20 from England, and a new representative, there are many things you don't know but your country's representative is supposed to be responsible for that so I won't interfere with that, but do know that you represent the hope of your country now... as for the new game... the world building will be like before, you will be placed in the body of a young kid between the age of 5-13 depending on the timeline selected from either the warring states to the third great ninja war."

The world faded out of existence as I dropped on solid ground once again, "There are 1000 scenarios prepared for every country, and 20 of you will be assigned at a random timeline. Now your goal is to quickly gain power and remember that each death will set you back 6 months in in-game time so be careful."

'Hmm it's harsher than Hogwart's legacy, 6 months drawback is almost 2 months in real-time... it seems they really want to emphasize the idea of a second world...'

"Now the body scan will begin and you will be placed in temporary hibernation for the duration of the scan, remember that when you wake up your stream would already be up and running and you would directly be placed into the scenario..."

'Wait... What?'
