Lying on the bed, Makira gradually immersed himself in his own world. Until the sound of knocking was heard at the window of his room. Removing his hand from his right eye, the boy looked in the direction of the window, realizing that the one who knocked did not show any action, he said: - "Stop hiding"
A few seconds later, the face of a guy about 16 years old, dressed in a jonin uniform with a bandage on his forehead, came out of the open window, he looked at the boy on the bed and said with a sad face: "Makira, why are you so not hospitable? Instead of inviting me into the room, the first thing you said was "Stop hiding" instead of "Hiro! You're back!". I have such a pain in my chest.."
Sitting comfortably next to the boy, Hiro examined him carefully, then asked: - "Why are you only after a shower? Have you been bothered by these hooligans again? Why don't you fight them back?"
"I'm weak," Hiro replied, continuing to lie on the bed with his eyes closed. Everyone thinks the boy is considered blind, which is a fact, but no one knew except Hiro that the boy has a peculiarity in his eyes. At the age of 2, the boy began to show vision in his right eye, except that the whole world he sees is black and white silhouettes. Over time, he began to adapt to this, but the left eye remained unchanged..
"Yes, you're weak, but.. If life is a mess, you just need to find the strength to start, and you'll sort it out slowly. Do you understand, Makira? You just have to find the strength to start, and you will succeed."- Said Hiro grabbing Makira by the hand, completely disappearing from the room.
...
Standing in the middle of the forest, Makira carefully looked at Hiro who was tying a target to a branch, jumping to the ground, he pulled 3 small shurikens out of his bag and handed it to the boy who was focused on him all this time.
- "Here are the shurikens for you and try to hit that target, I don't care how you throw them, but try to at least hit him once," Hiro said, pointing at the target.
Holding the shuriken in his hands, Makira focused on the black silhouette that was swinging in different directions due to the wind, trying to guess the right time to throw, and as soon as the moment came, he threw the shuriken at the target with all his might.
But..The moment of truth never came, because the shuriken never reached the target.
- "Well.. This is still the first attempt, so.. Try again" - trying to motivate the boy as much as possible, hoping that he will not give up after the first attempt
Taking the second shuriken, Makira again focused on the target, taking a more comfortable stance optimal for a good throw, he made a strong swing with his hand, yielding to strong inertia, he plopped face down on the ground. But soon the sound of penetration was heard, forcing the boy to raise his head, but because of his poor eyesight, he saw only a very shaky black silhouette against the background of black trees, realizing that he could not see, he turned his head to Hiro to ask: - "Did I hit?"
- "Yes, you got it, it was a very good performance, but let's start with your mistakes. First, try to look at the general problems, you are very fixated on the throw, you need to look at all your movements, if you were watching your stance, you wouldn't fall. Second, Don't try to twist your arm too much when throwing, it spends too much energy, here's how it's done" - after saying this, Hiro stood next to the boy, taking a stance for throwing, instead of making a strong swing, he abruptly moved his hand towards the target, but gently released the shuriken, which hit the target without any problems.
After seeing all the movements that Hiro showed him, after thinking a little, the boy grabbed his little shuriken, stood in exactly the same stance and with the same movements threw towards the target, almost hitting the center.
- "It's not difficult, but.. What if the target moves, then what then?" Makira asked, looking at the staggering target.
- "Ahem.. I see you're a smart kid, but you first need to get used to throwing at stationary targets, because of your vision, you'll need to try to find a target among the trees, I don't think your target will be in good conditions for you to throw, because if the target is in front of a tree, I'm sure you won't even notice it with your eyes. And what if it all happens at night, I'm sure you won't be able to see anything at all." - trying to convey his thoughts to his little brother, he hoped that despite all the problems he has, he will always be able to find a way out of different situations.
- "So, for now, you learn to throw at this target and as soon as you can throw them without much effort, we will switch to ordinary shurikens, instead of your little ones" - taking out your ordinary shurikens, which are much heavier than those in the hands of Makira, which are intended for children.
After listening to all of Hiru's advice, he quickly gathered up all his little shurikens and stood in a throw stance again.
"Hey, isn't it lunch time? I'm afraid it's not the best idea to train on an empty stomach. As soon as you eat, we'll come back here again, okay?" Hiro said, grabbing his brother in his arms, completely disappearing into the air.
Once in his room, Makira quickly flew out of his room, heading towards the dining room, hoping to eat as soon as possible and return to his workouts. Accepting his blank stare that everyone was used to seeing, he quickly got in line for his food.
As soon as his turn came, a bully appeared behind him who had previously poured a bowl of food on him, knowing that he would not do anything to him, he pushed little Makira aside and hissed with a grin on his face: - "Thank you for taking my turn."
Educators, other children have already got used to these antics, for them it was commonplace that older children bully a blind child, because of their face and blind eyes, few people would want to communicate with him, many children knew that the boy was left in a shelter immediately after giving birth, but he didn't even have a surname. Due to this, the boy gradually became an outcast.
Makira, as usual, did not show any emotions and obediently stood behind this boy, but he was pushed aside with the words: "Don't you see that I'm standing here? Although what can you see, you blind bastard. Go back to the back of the queue."
Getting to his feet, Makira looked blankly at all the children in the queue, forcing each child to sweat until one of them said: "Isn't he really blind? I have a feeling that he sees everything perfectly."
-"It seemed to you, look at him, he has a look like a dead fish, don't pay attention." - said the girl with short hair, looking intently at Makira.
Ignoring all those annoying words that were digging into his heart, he silently stood at the end of the queue. Taking his lunch, as usual, he sat down in his place in the corner of the dining room in the hope of eating quietly, until a boy sat down to him who, during all this time spent by Makira in the orphanage, did not leave him alone for a minute, forcing him to nervously lower his head, hoping that he would not pay attention, but he knew for sure that his nightmare would begin now, which he would not forget for the rest of his days.
