Nano Knight in the Fantasy World

With a pure and strong belief. With the will to never fall into despair. To continue to struggle no matter how stacked the odds were against him. For the sake of himself and for others. Living a life filled with wrong and misery as he was forced to accept the greed of others. In a world too dark and ugly for his kind and beautiful heart. That was how he lived his life for 19 years before it came to an end. Fortunately, he was given a second chance, reborn as an orphan with nothing to his name. In a world of fantasy with swords and magic. With the help of his system, in this new world, where he is no longer bound by the chains that held him once before, perhaps he could feel the love he had never gotten and regain the desires he had once forgotten as he finds his place in this new world. ***** Note: I do not own the image on the cover This is my first ever novel so feedback is much appreciated; also there will most likely be many grammar errors, just a heads up.

Deadly battle

Right before sunset, several hooded figures stood on top of the tallest building in the town of Shura with a view that allowed them to oversee the entire town.

"Lord K, the preparation is complete," one of the lower-ranking hooded figures said while kneeling to the man standing in front of everyone.

Standing at the front near the edge of the roof, overseeing everything with a strange aura surrounding him that had a sense of dignity and class to it, the man named K nodded his head before again turning his gaze toward the town of Shura.

"The time is now upon us," K said to his subordinates with a voice filled with emotion and passion while continuing to look down on Shura.

"The world has been too peaceful for the last 20 years."

"It seems the people have forgotten our name."

"With this, they will once again remember who we are."

With an eager look on his face, K slowly raised his right arm as dozens of pitch black voids appeared behind him along with the ominous sounds of buzzing similar to that of bees and the eager howling of the wolves. Soon after, several monsters from different races stepped foot out of the black voids, standing before their leader.

"Dead or alive, the people of this town shall be the building blocks of our new future."

"They will laugh at us no longer, as this is the beginning of a new end."

GIYAAAH-

GAAAGH!!

Just as he lowered his raised right arm, on cue, as if announcing their presence, the monsters all began to Rowr.

For their master, and for their future, they all jumped down from the roof to begin their hunt.

"let the massacre begin"

*****

BANG!

Beginning their battle, the nameless hooded man drew his sword and aimed directly at Jude, to which Julius quickly reacted by moving his body in front of Jude and deflecting the sword.

CLING!

"Hoh, not bad," The hooded figure looked at the two of them in surprise, "It would seem that dodging my attack the last time wasn't a fluke after all."

From the side, without answering back Jude dashed at the hooded figure with his dagger out to which the latter intercepted by swinging his sword.

"You, kids should listen when the adults are speaking."

Cling!

One exchange,

BANG!

Two exchange,

Ching!

Three exchange,

As the fight continued, the smile on the hooded man's face became bigger and bigger. One exchange after the other, Jude quickly noticed a problem during his first fight against a real human in this new world.

'Sh!t, my body is too weak, and I'm too slow.'

Like a nice car with a poorly made engine, no matter how skilled a person is, if they lack the power to back it up, their skills will inevitably become obsolete.

CLING! CLING!

An attack to the front or an attack to the back, as they both consumed their stamina, no matter how many times they dodged and attacked back, neither Jude nor Julius were able to break his defense.

"What's wrong is that all you got?"

Blow after blow, it didn't take long for it to become quite clear that the hooded figure was beginning to toy with them, as he wasn't taking the easy openings that were given to him to slash them down and end their fight.

Their fight was a downhill road, as they were heavily outclassed and if nothing changed all four of them would inevitably die.

Something needed to change,

Currently, the four of them had 2 options,

The first is to continue to fight, and the second is to try and run, but unfortunately, judging from how the hooded man was acting, it didn't seem like he would let the four of them go so easily.

Jude took a deep breath before closing his eyes. Time slowed down as with every minute he spent thinking, only a second in real-time would pass by.

Slowly, he began to calm his mind before thinking about the conditions required to win this fight.

Currently, Jude lacked the strength to do anything.

He needs power, enough power to change the fate of this battle.

'Who am I?'

A savior, a hero, and a failure.

'I've been through much worse than this.'

When all hope was lost and humanity was at its last legs, he fought, more desperately than anyone else.

With each breath he took, the calmer he became.

While remembering his past, a plan began forming inside his head.

Just like before, to live they had to fight.

To win, he needed to do what needed to be done.

Slowly, Jude opened his eyes as his pupils changed color.

It glowed green as thin lines formed circles inside his pupils.

TING!

"Huh?"

Without a moment's hesitation, Jude threw his dagger at the clocked figure, to which the latter deflected.

"Julius, lend me your sword," with a cold voice, Jude said without looking back.

"Got it"

With complete trust in Jude's judgment, Julius tossed his sword, which the black-haired teen smoothly caught without even moving his head. With the sword in hand, Jude got into position before beginning their attack once more.

As they stood staring at each other, the hooded figure felt something was different from before, most notably with the aura the black-haired boy was giving off. Unlike before, where he felt like he was watching an interesting toy ready to be trampled on, this time, however, he felt like he was watching a hunter staring at his prey.

BOOM!

In the drop of a heartbeat, Jude dashed at the hooded figure to which once again the hooded figure intercepted with his sword, "...!" or at least he tried to. However, this time the situation played differently as the moment Jude got into range of getting hit, his body accelerated in an instant, catching the hooded figure off guard.

"UGH"

BANG! BANG!

Due to the weak body of a child, Jude's first direct hit was too shallow, but with the hooded figure completely off guard, Jude didn't stop and kept attacking, first with a horizontal slash, and then a vertical slash. Some of his attacks were deflected, some were parried, but Jude never stopped, as a moment of hesitation could be the end of not only him but also the people who were important to him.

Standing not far from Jude, overseeing the fight from behind, Julius and the others couldn't help but be amazed at the sight that they were seeing. This was the first time they'd seen Jude fight so seriously that they thought they were watching a completely different person.

"AGHH"

Soon after with blood dripping from the somewhat shallow cuts all over his body the hooded figure stood limply as he gazed hatefully at the black-haired teenager.

"Y-YOU PIECE OF SH!T"

enraged that the prey that he decided to spare for a moment of fun was now showing its fangs at him. But unfortunately for the hooded figure, it would seem now that it was the hunter who was hunted.

"H-How is this happening?"

"The only ones who should kill, are those who are prepared to be killed."

Unaffected by his spiel of curses, Jude, with eyes cold enough to freeze an entire ocean, slowly walked towards the hooded figure.

"Y-You'll regret this. Do you think our God will let you go?" Seeing Jude walking towards him with the sword at hand, the hooded figure began to shake as he spilled out words of threat in a last-ditch effort to save his own life. "T-Take one more step and we will burn your skin in the fires of hell for all of eternity,"

"Your threat means nothing to me," Jude said as he continued walking. "Whether God exists or not, doesn't matter to me."

"I have long stopped believing in them."

"All that matters is that you, along with your people, have come to this town with the intention of killing, and for that, you must die."

'With this, the situation will be over soon '

But before Jude could move any further on instinct he quickly moved back as he felt his instincts warn him about a great danger if he took another step.

"I was wondering what all the commotion was all about, but to think that you were losing to a bunch of kids, how disappointing."

"L-Lord K"

Although Jude didn't know when he got there, it would appear that another one had appeared as another hooded figure with a similar outfit to the previous one appeared, standing with his back straight to the side This time, however, the situation appeared to be different.

Without even fighting him, Jude could tell that this one was bad news. The first moment Jude laid eyes on him, his body began ringing all its alarm bells as it pleaded with Jude to run away.

"Fu*k"
