When night fell, Namara went to meet Helen. She barged into the palace library as usual. However, unlike usual, Helen wasn't there.
"Where's the old woman?" muttered Namara while looking in all directions.
Suddenly the door opened and revealed the figure of Helen who was standing holding a stick. The old woman used the stick to support her body.
"Indeed, you're back," commented Helen, who then stepped inside.
"You don't usually go outside," said Namara without replying to Helen's comment. She stepped over to the chair in front of Helen's desk.
"Did you think I would die here an immortal bookkeeper?" asked Helen sarcastically. Namara just chuckled at that.
"Namara..." Helen looked at Namara seriously.
"Why?" asked Namara.
"Are you that close to that foreign man? What's his name? Earl?"
Namara took a deep breath. "Why do you have to listen to what they have to say?"
