Hope for an end

Kiyatana violently swings his sword with a shout taking out a few Soldiers.

Myoya takes long Deep breaths as he struggles to fight off the few remaining soldiers.

"If anymore soldiers arrive... I don't think I'll last much longer..." Sweat rolls off his forehead as he pants.

"Lightless slash!" Kiyatana takes out a Soldier attempting to ambush Myoya.

"Hard to believe this, the number of Soldiers has slowed down for sure... We may be close to the end of this pointless war... How are you holding up Emily?" Emily uses her shadows to capture the remaining soldiers of the wave as she falls to the ground.

"E-exhousted sir..." Kiyatana sighs as the moon slowly rises on the horizon.

"Okay then... I'm pretty sure the Archers can handle any stragglers... Come on you two... Let's retire back to the base... Get a scope of our forces and our materials" Kiyatana stretches his hand out and helps Emily up. The remaining RoeKanaoWorth soldiers also retreating.

Kiyatana looks at Myoya who lays on a bed getting some long needed rest. Emily sitting beside a sleeping Elijah struggling to get rest. Shioka was in a separate and private tent still recovering. Kiyatana walks over to Emily and sitting opposite her.

"You did really good today Emily... I must commend you... But now might be the only chance you can get some rest..." Emily looks down at Elijah. A sadness in her voice.

"Elijah... Saved me from my biological parents... They forced me to sleep during the day so no one knew I existed... They abused me at night... But one day I happened to escape and found myself in Elijah's family car... They took me in and I worked there as a maid until me and Elijah started dating..." There was silence as Emily lays her head down on Elijah. Kiyatana smirks calmly as he stands up and walks away.

Kiyatana sits in a separate tent and thinking to himself. He looks up as the tent opens.

"Knew I'd find you here Sir" kiyatana watches as Myoya walks in and sits down

"What is it you need...?" Myoya takes a deep breath and looks down.

"You said something about Haineil's forces being spread thin... And something about that one Kiyoko kid in my class" Kiyatana looks shocked.

"He's in your class...?" Myoya nods as Kiyatana finds it interesting.

"Well... Putting it simply... Hmm... Our goal for this war was to spread our forces evenly across the border.... And Chief of Exploration Diafthora would be in charge of making a Pact with the Yukan country... Thus we would share more border with Haineil... We would raid from all sides and Haineil would be forced to spread their forces thin to account for every border... Thus Diafthora can easily make it to the capital... While only having to worry about the strongest members of Haineil's military..." Myoya takes a while to process before he looks at Kiyatana.

"So... What does this have to do with Haineil's military forces?" Kiyatana stretches a bit.

"Well... Since they're forces are very low here, Haineil is probably busy trying to stop Diafthora and his group from getting to the capital... But we've already defeated a large portion of their forces on this here battleground... Put that all together... Diafthora's squad must have already invaded Haineil's border... And are currently heading for the capital" Myoya's eyes widen as he sits up straight.

"That means..." Kiyatana smiles confidently.

"This war may as well end by the day after tomorrow..." Myoya's jaw drops as a smile forms.

"This war... Is almost over..." Kiyatana nods as he lifts his hands.

"Keyword... ALMOST" Kiyatana pushes Myoya to lay down on his lap.

"The war ain't over YET... so get some rest... Get as much as you can" Myoya nods and closes his eyes. Quickly falling asleep again.

"I can't wait to see Diafthora again... This time it will be me paying for the beer" Kiyatana whispers as he lifts his fist.

The queen sits in a chair. The room dark around her.

"I'm sorry I couldn't have been there darling... But know... The young hatchlings from class 1... Have grown into large beautiful eagles... They are so close to avenging your death dear... I'll always remember you" the queen looks down at a picture of Kiyoko and Shioka.

"Time Magic... Fates gate" the half of the picture with Shioka slowly starts evaporating as a massive aura pours from the side with Kiyoko.

"I guess... It won't be much longer until the crown is handed down... I think it's in good hands"
