Wendy Cassia's calm expression suddenly changed. She lowered her eyes and asked in a low voice, "Did you see that?"
John nodded his head. He didn't look well and said, "Yes, I did. You guys come upstairs with the kids."
"Today is the weekend. Vicki wanted to go to the amusement park, so we went there together." Wendy said lightly.
He had thought that there would be some more clarification, but John waited for a while and didn't hear it. He raised his eyes, with a hint of worry flowing slowly in his eyes. His throat moved slightly. "It seems that you are on good terms now."
He didn't know how he felt when he said this. He just felt that his heart was heavy, including the way he looked at Wendy. He could no longer be so calm.
Hearing his voice, Wendy just smiled. "We are neighbors now. It's normal for us to get close."
The woman's voice was soft. John could tell that she was really tired now. He wanted to ask something, but when he saw her misty eyes, he couldn't ask anymore.
