Myriad Islands

"Is this world made of small Islands or are there bigger ones?" Elias Gobarau wants nothing but a normal life with his wife. Unfortunately, unforeseen forces have other plans for him as he was swallowed by space and found himself in a world of iceans filled with Islands. ***** Myriad Island is a world where intelligence, strength, fate, luck and even destiny means nothing. The only thing that can keep a sentient being sane was clinging to an ever-abstract concept known as Hope. Follow Elias's journey as he faces dangers of all kinds with the hope of understanding his purpose and possible union with his wife. ***** "Sigh, I left the life of chaos I was born in, how the hell did I end up somewhere worse? Or....is this Hell I was sent to for all the horrible things I was tasked to do?" ***** [Note: No Island is useless, only useless dweller that can't figure out it's usefulness!]

Island

Seeing the notification, he was confused, but as a trained veteran that has survived many deadly missions in the past, he comprehends something.

Whoever brought him here wants him to play a game. What kind of game? He needs more clues to know, but he has a hunch.

Sadly the way he is, he is at a massive disadvantage.

"Wand Interface!" Elias let out.

Pain assaulted his head as if it was going to explode and from his sudden movement due to pain, the platform tumbled and it would overturn if he did not hold himself in place.

He quickly and evenly sat down and balanced at the centre so as not to give any edge more weight that may cause flipping of the small platform.

It felt like hours passed before his head stopped aching and he opened his eyes.

What greeted him was...

[Wand Interface]

<Note: Beware of Golden Spoon!>

Soon everything disappeared and he was back in the environment. He wanted to lie down but there was not enough space.

He sighed and thought, 'I have become lazy!'

He looked at the Wand again and the word returned, but this time there was only slight pain that came and went very fast.

"Hmm, so any time this sticks… I mean this Wand sends me information to the brain I will feel pain. Maybe, the aching will cease if I get used to it.

Wand?

Is it a Magic Wand like in the Harry Potter Movie or what? And also it calls this small platform an Island, and it indicates, I have to go find other Islands, maybe ditch this one and get a bigger one!?

I might or might not fight against Golden Spoon to achieve that. So what is this spoon? A monster? A man or what?"

Elias continued to ponder everything, trying to arrive at an answer but he was so tired as everything happened so fast that he couldn't even arrive at something substantial.

He looked up and sighed, his face suddenly frowned as he saw the Small Island had sunk in the water a little while he was speculating. He quickly looked at the Wand, the earlier sentences all appeared to him. But, that was not what he wanted.

"How can I move the Island?" He shouted at the Wand.

[Buy information from the Wand Shop]

"How?"

[Say, Wand Shop!]

"Wand Shop!" He shouted. And he felt a headache but nothing happened.

[Your Mental Fortitude is exhausted, please wait three hours to recover to an Excellent level!]

"What the hell. By then I might have drowned. Please, how can I get the information without waiting for the Mental Fortitude to recover!"

[50 points to recover Mental Fortitude]

He glanced at his 360 Points and agreed. Then he felt a very cool sensation in his head as if he had a long sleep and woke up full of energy.

[310 Points remained]

"Wand Shop!" He shouted. As someone who had assessed his danger, he did not dwell on the good feeling.

The same old stinging pain hacked his head, this time ten times more. He screamed and screamed and thrashed around touching the water in the process but in three-second everything came back to normal. To him though, it felt like hours.

[Wand Shop]

~Tangible Items.

~Intangible Items.

Two words appeared as he glared at them, and then he focus on Tangible Items

~Tangible Items.

1~Bucket of sand

2~Cup of water (Not suitable for drinking)

<Note! Meet more Islands to have more options!">

He felt as if he was about to cry. He thought that he might find something amazing here, like a device or a tool, but it seemed like it was just a joke. Bucket of Sand and Cup Water, the water itself is not for drinking.

Though he expected that it would be in the Intangible Items he might find the information he needed. Nevertheless, he checks Tangible Items first, since having equipment will be good too.

He looked at the Intangible Items and focused on it. It revealed to him what it contained.

~Intangible Items.

1~Luck +10 (10 Points)

2~Mental Calm +10 (10 Points)

3~Information (10 Points)

4~Predictions (10 Points)

Elias stared at the things that were displayed and took him some time to wrap his head around them.

There is Luck and Predictions which seems odd to him. But, looking at the Mental Calm he almost cursed out loud. He paid 50 points for what is only 10 points.

This time he did not get carried away, he gently checked the Information. And under it came a list that almost made him want to choke.

Information on the platform  (5 points.)

Information about the fog  (5 points.)

…..

There is other information, but what made him want to choke was after he checked 'Information of the platform' he saw his explanation instead of something else.

[5 Points Dedicated!]

[305 Points remained]

"I want to know how to move the Island, not this garbage that I already know.!" He shouted angrily.

>Generating answers from the available Information.

>Answer generated

Think of the Island to move and it will move!

[10 Points Deducted!]

[295 Points Dedicated]

Elias was dumbfounded by the answer. He can just think of it to move and it will move?

He should have tested that instead of just trying to learn it the long way.

It was then that Elias understood that the description he gave earlier is very important as the Wand uses it to generate different ideas and useful information that may elude his understanding.

He looked at the 'Luck' and felt compelled to buy, but he resisted. His mind relaxed and came out of the Wand Shop and looked around.

He then thought about moving the Small Island, just like magic, he felt his Small Island was moving slowly. Then he thinks of moving fast, the Small Island moved faster than before. And with that, he just keeps floating onward.

He watched as waves formed due to his Small Island moving but he could also see the water level rising slowly every minute, and he was very sure that he may drown within an hour or less.

"How can I stop the drowning?" He asked as he looked at the wand.

[Meet another Island!]

Knowing that it will not take time before he drowns, he enters the Wand Shop and buys +10 Luck.

The Small Island sped up in a certain direction at tremendous speed. Elias has to hold on tight to the Island edges ignoring that he was touching the water and the warning from his Wand that his Small Island is drowning faster.

Suddenly he saw a silhouette of a Bigger Island. He tried to stop the Small Island, but it did not, and his Island crashed into the Bigger Island.

The collision threw him up in the sky and he felt as if his brain was out and was dissected over and over again!

"Ahhhhh!" He screamed in agony before he lost consciousness!
