Five days have past sense I got back to the library. I've gone over thousands of thousands of scrolls and not one can I read. So I bundle them up and put them in my Void bag. It is in the afternoon of the fifth day when I finally find a small orange book.
It looks like it is hand bound and very old. On the cover is an earth crystal. When I touch the edges of the pages they start to crumble. The crystal on the cover starts to glow and as I watch the book repairs it's self now looking new. The words across it says
"Torc in the eyes of the Larvar
Book 1 of 5
Scribed by Nenal Hipher"
It takes me a minute, "I know that word, Torc, from somewhere but from where." That's when it hits me and I pull out the silver ball from my Void bag once activated I am once again looking at the map. There are five continents in the known world and they all set in a diagonal line from north/east to west/south or is that south/west. "Oh, who cares stupid dyslexia."
The top one is made up of five mountains. Next is the one made of three mountains and in the middle is a huge lake. the middle one looks like a turtle and is the largest being five times the size of all the others. That one is "The Great Kingdom" That's were I am right now. Next looks like a flat desert but above it are the ten floating jungle islands. The last is made up of seven volcanos and all of them active.
As I look at the map I think and touch the top island made of the five mountains. The map zooms in and the word Torc appears at the top of the map. "That's were I heard it from." I pull a book out of my bag and open it. The five island nations of this world are from top to bottom. The Kingdom of Torc, The Kingdom of Shale, The Great Kingdom, The Kingdom of Orvan, and last The Kingdom of Lapeta.
These Kingdoms are all controled by The Great Kingdom, and the ruling class is the humans. The Great Kingdom is considered the Center Of The World and the primary home of the perfect creation, humans, or so all the books say. I close the book and map. After placing the ball back in my Void bag I walk over to the desk and place both books down. Then reach my hand into the Space bag.
Inside the Bag
Im standing at the edge of the field. A few hundred people are working on a building for Wizzal to work in near the airship. I walk over to an elderly Florensin with lite green almost white hair. His skin is a lite blue. Once I get his attention I say, "I want you to build another building right next to this. It will have to be huge make it at least three stories high. Also it's a library.
The man looks at me for a few minutes as I wait, "Then as if he just remembers he says, "Yes Sir," I grow out my claws. As soon as he sees this he says, "Yes! Right away! Master!" fear in his eyes. A small smile crosses my face and I say, "Good Boy." My hand shifts back to human and I head back to the tree and place the bag back on the limb. Once my barrier is back up I reach into the bag.
Outside the Bag
I sigh and turn back to continue with all these stupid scrolls. Before long I open one up and in the corner there is a small white crystal embedded in the parchment. As soon as I touch it the cracks in the scroll vanish and it looks new once more. I pick another up and realize every scroll has these crystals. It takes me seven more days to go through all these scrolls and restore them back to new. I'm unable to read a single one. On the bright side I do find all five books each book has a different crystal in the cover that repairs the book after I pick them up. I walk over to the desk and spread out the books they are.
Torc in the eyes of the Larvar
Book 1 of 5
Shale in the eyes of the Larvar
Book 2 of 5
Larvar in the eyes of the Larvar
Book 3 of 5
Orvan in the eyes of the Larvar
Book 4 of 5
Lapeta in the eyes of the Larvar
Book 5 of 5"
Looking at the five books they are all by the same scribe. I then realize 4 of them are are titled after 4 of the 5 known Kingdoms. The last one must be Larvar or The Great Kingdom. So I sit down and start to read. Once done I've got a lot to think about. This is a summary of what I read:
The History as seen in the eyes of the last known Larvar
At the beginning of time when the world was created the creator made 4 gods to help create creatures to fill this world. The creator also made four islands. One island for each god to control and make as they wanted. Each god was given an element to govern. God of earth, God of water, God of wind, and God of fire. As time past each god made their land to fit their desires.
The god of earth called it's new land Torc and fills it full of mountains so it's creations could enjoy caves and the land.
The god of water called their land Shale and made a huge lake and added mountains so it's people could enjoy the water in all its forms.
The god of wind creates a desert and flying islands on their land so it's creations could whip across the sands and fly into the sky to be in the clouds.
Last the god of fire created the land of Lapeta and filled it full of volcanos so it's creations could enjoys the heat and fire.
Each god bestowed power crystals on their land so their creations could enjoy the power of their creators wherever they go and use them to ask for their help when need. After a time the creator saw it's gods were starting to fight among themselves damaging the land. So the creator created another island and on this land the creator made it so all the gods rule this land. The creator calls this land Larvar and made a people named after this land bestowing on them, and the land all the elements.
The creator proclaims, "I am done with the land, govern it as you see fit but this land will be for all." No sooner did the creator leave then the god of fire went to take over the land. It built itself a temple and proclaims, "I am the the strongest god and this is my land." The other gods come to challenge the god of fire but it had already made a temple on the land so it had the power to push all of them back.
The three gods joined together killing the god of fire and destroying it's temple. After that looking at all the destruction they had brought upon the land. They all built their own temples on the land of Larvar and proclaim, "We will no longer mess with this world directly. From this day forth we will only help indirectly when asked."
Fall of the Larvar
The Larvar were given great power and could control all the elements. They made new magic and wonders to be hold. They took it upon themselves to teach the other races. They knew of the death of the god of fire but still prayed to all the gods saying it keeps balance.
They created the all temple so they could pray to all the gods in one location. As time passed the race known as humans became the strongest earth elemental creation and grew angry that they could only control earth. So they went to the Larvar and tricked a child to come with them. When the Larvar went to get the child they attacked and war broke out.
Over time sense the Larvar didn't have children but every fifty years they were over powered and the women taken captive. The women were then bred and a new human race was born. The creator was angry but had said it would not interfere. So it proclaims, "You humans have earned the right to control all the elements through evil means but because of how you stole that right I will take your strength and you will never be strong again. As punishment for distorting what I have made and stealing what was not freely given you. none of you will have all the powers I have given to this world. Remember this you have failed."
I place the last book down thinking how stupid it is. That's when I open the book once more and look at the picture of the temple. My eyes get big as I slam the book shut, "I've seen the symbol," After I shove the books into my Void bag I run up the stone stairs and head through the empty vault. I emerge in the darkness of night and no sooner do I get to the top of the stairs.
I grow my wings and take flight, flying over the city. I land in front of the temple of Nullver and through the doors ignoring the wonder of the place. I do take note that the whole ceiling lights up with Sun crystals as soon as I enter the temple. It's huge outside and I've entered a small room full of offerings in gold, silver, and crystals of all colors. All I care about is the alter that stands in front of me. With the human shaped statue behind it.
I pull out the books and open the first book. Torc I turn the page to the picture of the temple, don't match. The next one is Shale, don't match. When I open the book of Orvan I'm staring at the same symbol, I knew it. I look to my sides and their are two doors. If I'm correct Nullver is not the god of death and birth. That name was given to him by humans and nothing is mentioned about his shape. He is the god of wind.
I walk over to the first door and kick the door in. The ceiling lights up as soon as I enter. This room is dusty and the stone is cracked. I walk over to the alter and wipe the dirt away. their is no statue. The symbols are the same as in the book of Lapeta god of fire.
Heading back through the door and through temple of Orvan I enter the next room and this place looks messed up as well but I can see old pieces of gold and silver, coins and jewels before the alter.
The ceiling lights up same as before. I walk up to the alter and wipe the dust away and see the symbol for the god of water. I look in back of the alter and see a human shaped statue that is the same as from the book of the Elves. It's a statue of the god Suma, god of war and power. The next is the god of earth or Tala god of birth and love.
I'm standing in front of the alter of Tala or god of the earth. looking at yet another human shaped statue. I walk around the alter and smash the statue nowhere does it say what the supposed gods look like. Besides it is just for the fun of it. Around me are old offering of gold, silver and jewels.
Now I have a test to do so I remove an Earth crystal from my Void bag and place the crystal on the alter. No sooner do I do so then I'm hands gets warm and turns to that of a Florensin against my will. After that it shifts to a Limpit then back to a humans. I hold my hands up to my face flex them.
"Everything seems ok"
I then seal the room again and walk up to the alter of Suma god of water
So as a test I remove a Fire crystal from my bag nothing happens. I then take it back and place a Water crystal on the alter. This time my hands get warm like before and starts to change first to a Cawlway then back to a human.
"This is weird"
Everything seems ok. So I leave the room and seal the door once more. I'm now standing in the main room. I walk up to the alter and am reluctant to continue I don't like losing control of myself but I need to finish my experiment so I walk up to the alter of Nullver the god of the wind and place a Wind crystal on the alter. My hands gets warm and as I wait nothing happens. I sigh in relief and walk to the last room. I step up to the alter and place a fire crystal and wait. Nothing happens so I leave the room and seal the door.
I stand there in front of the door of the god of fire thinking for a few minutes. "The warm feeling in my hands must be the blessing of the supposed gods as weird as that sounds. Humans have all the elements so they get all the blessings. So the lose of control of my hands is because my shapes have different elements so each god blesses a different shape. The god of fire isn't around anymore so he can't bless anything."
All this god crap makes my head hurt. I've never been the religious type so I leave the weird temple swearing I'm never going in that creepy place again. As I leave I think about it alittle more. The human's gave names and powers to the gods that they never had.
Nullver is the god of the wind not death and birth
Suma is the god of water not the god of war and power
Tala is the god of earth not the god of birth and love
The unnamed god of fire is the last and dead god
I take flight and land on top of the temple to think. I look at my hands and make a small lightning bolt, then switch to wind I change my hand to my different shapes and use each power in turn. The powers of earth, and water seam stronger then before, but if each god made a different creation with different elements then how did I come to be? also I started with just the power from a dead god, fire.
I can use 8 of the 11 elements. With Wizzal's help and crystals I can mix them and come up with new elements. Wonder if I can mix them in my body as well. A smile crosses my face as I stand. Well the only thing to do is get all the elements and see what happens.
I have potential of being the first creature in over 1000 years who can use all the elements and it don't matter if these dried up gods give me all the blessings in this world I don't give a f*ck. I'll do what I want. it's my world now.
I pull one of the wrist bands from The house of Yotal out of my Void bag as I think. As soon as I touch the inside of the band everything turns red for a second. My head hurts and when the second passes I'm holding my head. I look down at the wrist band as it crumbles in my hand. All I can think is, "What the f*ck just happened."
