Chapter 1-Meeting

Fay was a Witch, a witch who had recently lost her mother to cancer and now the fate of being the Blood Moon pack witch fell to Fay but she knew that this was one job she wouldn't like.

For two years Fay endured pain of unimaginable measurement. She had become a play toy for the packs Alpha, Daniel Moon. She hated every second of it, he had quite the temper and there was nothing she could do to escape, that was until he had to attend a meeting with other pack leaders two states away. Daniel would be taking his Betas and so Fay would be alone in the pack house. She knew better that to think she could get away but she still had to try so she packed a bag and left the house, left the town, hopefully never to return.

Two years later and Fay was living in the city of New York, living in a shitty apartment and working at a supernatural bar. every night creatures of every kind came in to get away from the human world. Fay was the bartender, she knew all the regulars, she had created a life, it wasn't the life she dreamed of but it was a life none the less. Fay dreamt of love, of a family, but she knew that as long as she was on the run from Daniel that was impossible.

"Whisky please" said a man who sat at the bar in a perfectly tailored grey suit.

Fay turned around and the man seemed to recognise her, he looked a little shocked but remained silent about it.

"Sure" she said putting glass on the bar and began to pour the drink. She tried not to look at his ocean blue eyes but failed, she could easily get lost in them.

"Make it a double" said the man who put his phone on the bar and ran his hand through his brown hair.

"Rough day?" she asked

"You have no idea"

"Do a love shot with me babe?" asked one of the regulars who leant on the bar.

"Not tonight Mark"

"Oh come on Fay"

"The lady said no" said the man

Mark left the bar and sat back down with his friends.

"Thanks...I'm Fay"

"Adrian, pleasure...Have we met before?"

"Don't think so, have you ever been in here before?" she asked putting the bottle of Whisky back under the bar.

"First time, how long have you worked here?"

"About a year"

"Yo Fay" shouted a man from the other end of the bar.

Fay walked over to him and he asked for two love shots for him and a friend. Fay took out a bowl and two shot glasses from under the bar and began to mix the drink. She added a little whisky for taste as a love potion was really bitter.

When he paid for the drinks she began to wipe down the bar a little before making her way back down to Adrian.

"Your a witch"

"Yeah"

Adrian looked a little puzzled she seemed nice enough but he noticed that she was putting it on, her confidence was fake, she was just trying to get though the day.

Hours later and Fay was locking up the bar and was about to begin her journey to her crappy apartment when a black van pulled up in front of her and two men came out and tried to kidnap her, but she was pushed back from the men by a familiar man in a tailored suit. The van sped away and Fay was sitting on the sidewalk watching the scene unfold.

"Are you alright?" asked Adrian who went to take Fay's hand.

"Don't touch me" she said pulling her hand away

Fay stood up and was about to walk away when Adrian waked in front of her.

"They won't stop, they want you for some reason"

"Its not your problem, thank you for helping me but I don't need anymore of your help"

"But I need yours"

Fay looked up at him with a scared and confused face.

"With what?"

"Come here tomorrow, we'll talk" he said giving her a business card.

Fay looked Adrian in the eyes, he looked sincere enough but she still didn't trust him.

"Why should I trust you?"

"I did just save your life but if that's not enough, I could've killed you if I wanted but I didn't. I need the help of a witch and your the only one I currently know who doesn't want me dead"

Fay was hesitant but took the card "I'll think about it"

"That's all I ask" he said smiling at her.

Fay walked away and as she did she looked back at Adrian who was still watching her walk away. Fay walked back to her apartment and slid down the door, he had found her, she had to leave. Fay began to cry and pull her knees up to her chest and eventually she fell asleep.
