Zoey sat by Tristan's bed, recovering from the blood just drawn from her and passed into Tristan's system. She was starting to think that her special self was a curse because the only reason he was keeping her was for an heir to come from her and take her blood which was rumored to have healing properties.

This is outrageous. Taking too much of your blood is harmful to us. Aren't they thinking about that? Zee said in panic as she could already feel Zoey's strength going down drastically.

"I'm fine, Zee. I just need enough rest." Zoey said, shaking her wolf's worry away but Zee didn't believe her one bit.

Come on Zoey. Don't do this to yourself. Zee said trying to alert anyone in the room about her weakness but that was impossible.

As Zoey started to gasp for breath, Tristan gradually started to open his eyes and he woke up to see Zoey struggling to catch her breath.
