Chapter Nine: The Unknown Family Member(s)

They all sit down feeling satisfied, they just had lunch and auntie Irene is expected to continue the story which she started in the morning."should we continue now or we should rest for a while?"auntie Irene asked dizzily. "Yes" Jiele, Norella and Lorella answered in unison. They are eager to hear the rest of the story since she refused to tell them the gender of the twins unknown elder sibling. "Ok look, why don't we rest for a while before continuing the story"auntie Irene suggested. "It is exactly one p.m." auntie Irene said as she glanced up at the big wall clock in her living room,"let us all take a nap and continue when we are awake because I am kind of tired and my mouth hurts please it will rest for a while" she said as she pleaded tiredly, within a few minutes she finally fell asleep.

Two hours later, all of them were awake except Jiele who went to her room why the rest of them were still sleeping to sleep peacefully. "Okay, Norella and Lorella, shall we continue?" Auntie Irene asked as she gulped down a full glass of water as she woke up being thirsty, she cleared her throat and continued from where she stopped. "You girls were asking me about the gender of your father's first child, right?" Auntie Aaron asked the twins. "Yes auntie Irene" Norella and Lorella answered in unison. "Ok he is a male that means you girls have an elder brother he should be around 30 or already in his 30s as I have told you before your father's first love conceived him 2 years before he even met your mother" auntie Irene explained to the twin sisters. "Do you have any idea on how he looks like?" asked Lorella. "No dear, I mean not now. You know you were both thing when you came to Nigeria and that was about 5 years ago he should be about 25 years old then I have not set my eyes on him ever again. I think his mother is hiding him from your father and from the rest of you, maybe she is thinking her son might be a threat to you or you being a threat to her and her son"auntie Irene said. "Same goes for his mum too. I swear, I have not seen her for the past 5 years now, I think they are both hiding or something or maybe they are just avoiding your family especially your dad because I do not think there is anything she will be willing to do with your father ever again" auntie Irene added. "That is true auntie Irene. To be honest, that is not worth it at all. If I were miss Cecilia, I do think I would have done same. Let us be sincere, what's that stick to her was not fair, it is so heartbreaking, disappointing and disrespectful. I guess she must have been very heartbroken, disrespected and disappointed at Dad. It is also very disrespectful of Dad to treat her like that. Number one, she's a Lady of a very high status and secondly she bore him a child, a son for that matter" Norella said displeased. "Yes that is very true Nor, I would have done exactly the same thing if I had happened to be her" Lorella added. "Not everybody is like you Lorella" Norella said to her twin sister. "Some persons possess a heart of gold, a pure heart.Duh, you might be a white girl, but your heart is as black as dads, some people like I, mum and that first lover, miss Cecilia easily forgives and let go of the past, for the past is in the past. You know, because you are forgiven someone's evil act towards you does not guarantee that you should continue being together. You know life lessons changes people's mindsets towards those that have hurt them in the past. I guess miss cecilia learnt her life lessons in a very hard way and has moved on with her life. She might not even be bothered by the thoughts of dad any longer, how long can one stick to the past?" Norella asked her twin sister Lorella mockingly. "Is dad not your favourite parent?" Lorella asked her twin sister, Norella angrily. "Are you not daddy's favourite twin?" Lorella asked Norella again. "Are you not daddy's girl?", Lorella asked one more time. "You are the closest to Dad amongst the other family members" Lorella says quarreling with her twin sister. "I know that I am that are the closest but that does not mean I am exactly like him" Norella quarried back as she tried to paint her name white. "But birds of a feather flock together" Lorella argued with her twin sister and with that statement she just made resulted into exchange of fists and blows between the two of them as they hit and fight each other. Auntie Irene tried to stop them but they overpowered her then she shouted her daughter's name "Jiele, come here quick". "Ok mum" and boom Jiele was there and joined her mum' trying to end twins fight. Auntie Irene knew she has to do something or else the twins would gladly continue to fight for the rest of the day. "Jesus!" Auntie Irene exclaimed as you pretended to have been hit by one of the twins, she fell down on purpose and started ruling on the floor which diverted the twins attention to her. It worked, they eventually stopped fighting and tried to help her get up to her feet and then apologized for fighting in our presence. She made them hug each other and say "I have forgiven you and I am sorry for fighting you". "I would have told you his name but we are done here for today. I have sincerely told you everything else I know. You can both leave now" auntie Irene said as she dismissed them both and then the twins left her apartment.
