You've probably heard of similar stories before, a mundane person meets a Random Omnipotent Being,
gets gifted powers and skills and then gets transported to another world. Sadly this time, only the "transported to another world" part is correct,
there was no ROB, so gifted powers or skills, just a mundane person moved to a Grimm Dark world commonly known as Worm.
And let me tell you, after I got over the panic, life had been much simpler. Yes, I wasn't gifted any powers or supernatural skills, but It aint all that bad.
Within the first three weeks I had riled everyone up by dropping some truth bombs.
Got an unruly vigilante sent behind bars, bombed Tomas Clavert's home when he was sleeping, sent Narwhal on a crusade against Saint and his flock,
Had the PRT busy with Medhall right after giving them the Undersiders on a platter.
Competed against Uber and Leet in a gaming competition, lost said competition. "saved" Canary and Mouse Protector, indirectly.
And all of it done from the safety of my home which was a homeless shelter, but it aint all that bad. Anyway, now I was wandering down the foreign streets that have become much safer than they were three weeks ago, and taking it all in.
"Grim dark this, Hope Killer that, at least it's not 40K. In that universe, there truly is no hope. Here? A few online posts had everyone riled up. What was I worried about? Pshh" muttering to myself, I continue my stroll until I heard a wooshing sound from above.
Stopping I looked up, only to see something about the size of a human torso streak between the buildings and crash onto the road, breaking it and kicking up some dust.
At this point, I'm already halfway turned around and prepared to take off, in this world who know who or what that could be.
My movement is halted when I see it, a small creature with exoskeleton rise out of the hole, making weird sound, between chittering and blubbering. Its joints snapping and extending.
"fuck this" saying that, I immediately bolted to the nearest vehicle. I saw the creature, and every bit of my mind was telling me that I knew exactly what it was.
Using the distraction the creature's entrance had caused, I swiftly approach one the distracted drivers, forcefully pull them out of the car and take off away from the creature, ignoring the yells from behind me.
Instantly plans are forming in my mind, but to execute them, I first need to make sure of some things.
And I can do exactly that by merely looking up.
Multicolored flashes light my face as I see a gigantic object entering the atmosphere, surrounded by a burning corona. Small and large pieces detaching and rocketing off elsewhere.
"yup, fuck this. Plan Z it is" my mind made up, I speed up and try to hunt down nearest firework store.
"I honestly could've not said a word. I could've shut up and stayed quiet." I rush down streets nicking a few cars along the way
"but noooooo, I had to open my damned mouth and jinx myself" finally spotting my target, I ignore the existence of the brake pedal and crash straight through the window of the store
knocking down a few shelves of fireworks. Thankfully the airbag functioned properly, thus my Plan Z can go off without a hitch.
I get out of the car and start gathering the fireworks in a neat pile, while ignoring the nearby yells and shouts and the ever approaching screams of pain from the outside.
Soon the screams are getting louder and louder, now followed by inhuman screeching. By then I had already brought out everything from the store and even the storage room and dumped them in the pile.
I pat myself down for may cheap multitool, drive the car closer to the pile and with a few jabs dump oil and fuel onto the pile.
The screeching is getting closer, the screams louder and distant sounds of explosions inspire me to move faster.
"welp, this is it… plan Z" I climb onto the pile, stand in the middle and begin digging a hole for my body, swiftly covering myself in oil covered fireworks.
"aint no Tyranid getting their claws on my body nor my mind."
Once again grabbing my cheap multitool, I pull out the crappy flint and strike it with the blade.
After that, there wasn't much else, but a moment of pure brightness and searing pain and finally all-encompassing darkness.
