Ligi did not show his interest in Jack's story, but he listened to it intently. He knew what he was thinking, but he did not want to admit it. To admit it is to admit that he was a horrible person.
"It is okay to doubt yourself. It is normal to do that."
Once Jack said those words, Ligi finally turned his head towards Jack and he listened carefully. This was the reason why he was so out of it these past few minutes.
Ligi felt that he had betrayed Bang since he still doubted Bang's intentions. There was still some part of him that did not want to get out of this jail cell.
He did not want to get out because that would mean that he would find out if Bang betrayed them or not. If Bang did not betray them, then Ligi would feel bad for thinking that Bang had betrayed them.
