"I bid you good luck then." Herriot almost snorted. He wanted to see how this liaison officer would dare punish him. Then again, he was aware of the rumors that circulated in the entourage. He was concerned about Marissa during the day, but she seemed to pay no mind to the rumors. Perhaps the argument that the rumor was fictitious in nature gave her the strength to deny it.
Unless they named the soldier in question, it couldn't be more erroneous.
It's just that the soldiers were all wearing helmets and mouth guards. Only their eyes were seen, but the visors would hide their eyes from a sudden glance. Only those who knew Herriot was around were the ones familiar with his demon magic… and Marissa who was used to getting his stares.
