"Failed vengeance"

Meanwhile, the scar-faced man, stirred on the ground. His body was extremely weak, broken, and he was barely clinging to life.

He struggled to push himself up, his muscles trembling from the effort. Blood dripped from his mouth, staining the ground beneath him. With a determined grunt, he managed to lift his head, glaring at Ray with a mixture of hatred and defiance.

"You think...this is over, foreign boy?" The scar-faced man rasped, his voice weak but filled with venom.

"You will pay...for this...you fucking bastard." He added.

Ray glanced down at the scar-faced man, his expression cold and indifferent. He didn't flinch or show any sign of pity. Instead, he simply observed the man's futile attempts to rise, his silver eyes void of any emotion.

"You're not in position to threaten anyone, scum." Ray said calmly, his voice carrying a chilling finality.

But the scar-faced man wasn't detered. He gritted his teeth, gathering whatever strength he had left.

"Kojima-sama....will avenge me." He spat out, his voice laced with malice.

"He and the Mistress will..make sure your family...feel their wrath." He added.

At the mention of the Mistress, Ray's expression changed over slightly. A flicker of curiosity passed through his eyes.

"The Mistress?" He asked, his voice still calm but with a hint of interest.

Suddenly, the scar-faced man smirked and gathered his last strength to attack Ray. He grabbed the knife of his comrade beside him.

But before the scar-faced could attack Ray so sudden, Izanami's instinct were faster. She stepped forward. Her movements were quick, calculated, and deadly. In an instant, she deflected the man's feeble attempt to attack Ray, her expression as cold and unfeeling as ever.

Without hesitation, Ray acted. In one swift motion, he reached down and grabbed the scar-faced man's arm. The sound of bones snapping and flest tearing filled the air as Ray gruesomely detached the man's arm from his body with brutal ease. Blood spurted from the wound, and the man let out a guttural scream of agony, his eyes widening in shock and pain.

The scar-faced man, now barely clinging to life, managed to choke out a few last words.

"Himura-sama, tell...Sakura-sama, Kojima-sama." His voice trembling fear and desperation.

But unfortunately for him, Arashi, Rio, Shion, and Yume were all in great shock and frozen in fear.

Izanami's cold, emotionless gaze bore into the man as she unsheathed one of her daggers, the blade gleaming menacingly in the dark night.

"You talk too much." She said flatly, her voice devoid of any compassion.

In a blur of motion, Izanami struck. The dagger sliced through the air with deadly precision, and within a heartbeat, the scar-faced man's head was brutally severed from his body. The decapitated head rolled across the ground before coming to a stop in front of Arashi, Rio, Shion, and Yume, the man's lifeless eyes staring blankly into their eyes. His body slumped forward, blood pooling beneath it.

The gruesome scene was over in an instant, leaving Ray and Izanami standing amidst the carnage, their expressions as cold and unfeeling as ever. Ray glanced down at scar-faced man's lifeless body, then to Izanami and to Arashi and her three friends.

Arashi, Rio, Shion, and Yume were frozen in place, their minds struggling to process the brutality they had just witnessed. Ray's eyes locking onto Arashi.

"Arashi-chan, I asked you a question." Ray's voice was calm, yet it carried an underlying tone of authority that demanded an answer.

Arashi, still trembling from the horrifying events, found herself unable to speak. Her mouth opened, but no words came out. The fear that gripped her heart was paralyzing, rendering her completely speechless. The plan to confront Ray, to have her male friends beat him up, now seemed like a distant, foolish thought. She couldn't even bring herself to look him in the eye, her gaze fixed on the ground.

Sensing the need to defuse the situation, Shion quickly stepped forward, trying to cover for Arashi.

"W-we were just.....visiting." She stammered, forcing a shaky smile on her face.

"We didn't mean any harm. We just thought Arashi-chan could drop by and say hello to you...that's all." She frantically added.

Yume nodded vigorously, backing up Shion's lie.

"Yeah, just a friendly visit. We didn't expect....this." Yume added, glancing nervously at the bodies strewn across the ground.

Ray's gaze shifted to them, but his expression remained unchanged. Being a Queensman, he could see through their lies, but he didn't press the matter further. Instead, his focus shifted to Rio, who had remained silent throughout the ordeal. Unlikes the others, Rio's eyes weren't filled with terror or anxiety. Instead, she was starting at Ray intently, her gazed fixed on him with a strange mix of emotions.

Rio's heart was racing, but not just from fear. As she looked at Ray, standing there with his cold, expressionless face, something stirred within her. It was an unsettling feeling, something she couldn't quite place. There was an undeniable attraction, an unshakable fascination that she felt toward him. Despite the violence, despite the bloodshed, there was something about Ray that drew her in, something that made her feel unstable and uncertain. Her heart pounded in her chest, her thoughts swirling with confusion.

Ray noticed Rio's lingering gaze, his eyes narrowing slightly as he studied her.

"And you?" Ray asked her, his voice softer yet still carrying a hint of authority.

Rio blinked, as if snapped out of trance. She quickly lowered her gaze, her cheeks flushing slightly.

"I...I was just with them." Rio mumbled, her voice barely above a whisper. She couldn't bring herself to look him in the eye again, not after the turmoil his presence had caused within her.

Ray didn't respond immediately, his gaze lingering on Rio for a moment longer before he turned his attention back to Arashi and the others.

Izanami, who had remained silent throughout the exchange, finally spoke.

"You should leave, girls. It's already midnight." Her voice was calm and measured, yet it carried an underlying edge of coldness.

Shion and Yume quickly nodded, eager to escape the terrifying situation.

"Y-yes, we should go." Shion stammered.

"Come on, let's get out of here." Yume added, grabbing Arashi's arm.

Arashi, still shaken and unable to speak, allowed herself to be led away. Rio hesitated for a moment, her eyes flicking back to Ray once more before she reluctantly followed her friends. The group hurriedly made their way back to the car, their hearts still pounding from the encounter.

As they left, Ray and Izanami stood in silence, watching them disappear into the night. The tension in the air began to dissipate, but the coldness in Ray's eyes remained. Izanami sheathed her daggers.

"It's kind of cute that Arashi girl thought she had a chance againts you." Izanami chuckled.

Ray didn't respond immediately, his gaze still fixed on the direction where the girls had fled. Finally, he turned to Izanami, his expression softening just slightly.

"Let's go back inside the house, Akane-chan is alone there." He said simply.
