The next morning, Xiao Li came out of Granny's room and bumped into Du Lixin.

With a yawn. "Du Lixin goodmorning. "

"Goodmorning sweetheart, and how was your night?" Du Lixin asked with a mocking tone.

Xiao Li glared at him, knowing fully well what he meant by that question. "Dont you dare ask me about it." She said and walked off.

Du Lixin followed her behind. "Is it a crime to ask my wife how her night was after listening to granny's stories." He emphasized the last words.

Xiao Li turned to him with a frustrating look. "Why didn't you tell me it was gonna be like this?"

"I did and even mom and dad did but no.." Du Lixin raised his hands and made a mocking face and a girly voice. "You wanted to hear granny's stories." "And I'm so sure she started from 1966, sweetheart what year did you fall asleep?"

Xiao Li turned and continued walking. "I think it was the year 1986, I almost fell asleep before that but she woke me up."

"Next time, always listen to your husband when he speaks."

They got to their room and freshend up then went to the dining room.

"Goodmorning Granny, mom and dad." Xiao Li greeted immediately she entered the dining room.

Mingzhi stood up and hugged Xiao Li. "Oh I love the way you call me. Say it again my dear."

With Mingzhi's last words, Xiao Li remembers what happens whenever Du Lixin asks her to say it again and that sent shivers through her vein.

She softly said. "Mom."

Mingzhi hugged her even tightly. "Oh my dear, thank you so much, thank you."

"Its alright with the hugs and calls, lets start eating, they need to go." Du Kiao said with a smile.

Mingzhi looked at Xiao Li with a pleading face. "Do you really have to go, I wasn't able to spend sometime with you all because of granny's stories."

"Hey, she enjoyed the stories." Granny announced.

'Cough cough' Xiao Li coughed immediately she heard that. It was a total torment, there was nothing there to enjoy apart from the first parts.

Du Lixin chuckled knowing fully well why she coughed.

Xiao Li turned to Mingzhi. "But mom I need to go to class."

"Well I can just call your principal and ask him to postpone the classes." Mingzhi said with a little seriousness.

Du Lixin had already done that before and if it happens again just for her sake, it will look as if she's the spoilt daughter of a powerful family.

"No mom dont do that, I missed classes few days ago and I don't want them to think I'm not punctual."

"Then we'll tell them you are from the Du family, everyone knows what we can do." Granny said.

"No granny, I really need to go to class today, I have to submit an assignment and i also need to be present at my study group."

"Wow my daughter is in a study group, with who?" Mingzhi asked with a smile.

Before Xiao Li could reply, Du Lixin did with a frown. "With a male coursemate."

Mingzhi whispered to Xiao Li. "Seems like someone is jealous."
