Marked Saiyan
Chapter 1
Argus
For some odd reason, I had woken up with a sudden start. It was odd because I didn't remember having a nightmare as my dreams fled my mind as I sat forward.
Dong!
My head smashed into something before me, and I had the sudden urge to just lash out and blast the door. Wait, why did I want to blast the door, damn that was an odd thought. Ignoring that, I felt around my position to help better understand what type of situation I was in.
Hell, I knew for a fact that I had gone to sleep in my own bed last night because I just showered after sex. There was no way in hell I was going to disrespect the booty like that and bounce after only smashing once.
Lights shifted at my side, and panic started to set in as words flashed across my vision. I squinted my eyes at it before I realized it was coming from the thing attached to the side of my face. Feeling the side of my face, I was surprised to find something almost as large as those Bose wireless headset. The inner foam that stuck to my face felt soft and breathable while the rest felt sturdy.
My stomach bubbled and churned as the words on the readout rearranged themselves in my vision before I was able to read what it said, and what I found almost made me fly into a rage if I hadn't glanced through the viewport, the earth was below me, but something in my line of sight said power level.
Fuck, the only reality I know of that uses terms like those, and that was the Dragon Ball Universe. FUCK, I thought and almost punched the center console if I hadn't looked through the viewport window at a glance. Outside, the small window was a blue marble, and it was rapidly approaching fast.
Twisting rapidly in my seat to get a better look, I almost doubled over from the pain that racked my side. Instantly my hand clamped down on it, eliciting another wince of pain. Looking down, I found bandages wrapped around my abdomen, and whatever it covered couldn't be any good. Turbulence hit me as whatever my little ship passed the moon, looking out the window I wanted to thank whoever it was upstairs because I was heading right towards the west coast of America and I knew the west coast.
Hell, I lived in California almost ten years before whatever happened to me happened. Taking a nice slow breath, I waited for the ship to do its thing, but as I was waiting, the name attack pod sprang forth in my mind. I paused as I thought it over, Saiyans use these to transport across the galaxy. That was odd; I knew that from watching the TV show, I also felt like I knew that from using them for a long time.
Wait, America, fuck this isn't the Dragon Ball Z Universe at all, so why the fuck do I have a Saiyans tail… Unfortunately, I couldn't think about that right now.
The front window shifted to a haze of blue before the turbulence of my little craft increased. White, then dirt brown, filled my vision as my craft came down hard in what I assumed to be the desert of the midwest. I didn't have much time to think, as I somehow knew that the ground was rapidly approaching. I braced for impact just in time as my little shuttle slammed into the ground.
I waited for a bounce that never came, sighing, I reached up automatically for the opening latch. The hatch opened up, and I caught a breath of dry air. The little ship's systems whined down as I sat back in my seat. As I release my breath, I pull my bloody hand away from my side. The only thing I could think about was how fucked I was.
Beep.
Beep.
Beep.
The device on the side of my face started to locate the nearest and largest source of ki. I mused to myself before my memories of the bloody thing slammed to the forefront of my mind. Quickly I yanked the scouter from the side of my face and was about to crush it on my palm before I thought better of doing so. A thumb went under the latch before popping it open. Looking inside the scouter memories flash into the forefront of my mind to help me diagnose the little thing. Biscayne, navigation, gravity reader, and so forth were examined and dismissed as I looked for what I wanted.
It didn't take me very long before I had located the Galactic GPS and communications systems inside the scouter. Without even thinking about it, my hand raised ki gathered at my fingertips. Pressing it down slowly, I held my breath as I willed the barest of ki down onto the sturdy components. Nothing happened, so I increased my ki output a little more before I heard two faint pops.
My breath hitched, and I was certain I almost shit myself. With wide eyes, I pulled my ki back in before pulling my fingers back. Looking down at the two burnt spots on the board, I sighed before closing the panel. Looking down at the little device in my bloodied hands, I leaned back into my seat, stunned at what I just accomplished.
Ki, I had just used ki, and it worked just like breathing, fuck, I was in so much trouble. After a moment of introspection, I dug deep before leaning forward and getting out of the pod. For some reason, I felt light and airy as I made my way out under the open sky. My sides still ached, but I paid it no mind as I turned around and took a look at what brought me here. The pod was a sphere that was roughly ten feet round in one perfect circle. It was definitely not as small as it was shown in the show.
Interestingly, as I took a step back from it and looked at the pod, it reminded me of my hatchback in size. Looking down at the hatched to the pod, I slammed it shut so I could use the front as a mirror. What I found reflecting back at me was most disconcerting because it was me, but it was also not me. I was still chocolate brown, but my clean fade was now held up in anime dreads like fuck wasn't I already a stereotype without walking around with this mop on my head. The only thing I can say is that whoever sent me here at least gave me clean lines. From what I could judge, I was still a fairly tall dude wait, was I still a dude and not a dudette?
That quick mental question had my pulling the front of my Saiyan armor open to check and make sure that I still had all of my fun bits. Chuckling to myself, I looked back up into the mirror, and that was when it happened. The pain started behind my brows, and before I knew it, I was screaming into the widow of my assault pod.
Waves rippled across the glass, and I was distinctly aware of another face overlapping my own as I screamed myself raw. Instincts, battle strategy, and fighting styles mixed with my being as memories being in a Saiyan orphanage raced through my mind: galactic charts, battles across the stars, planet Vegeta and that sick laughing face.
I fell on my knees as I remember Frieza's face as he blew my planet to kingdom come. As a Saiyan, I was far more attuned to the fight than I was so sentimentality, but fuck, that was my home Frieza blew up. My Saiyan instincts growled at the challenge before me while my human mind knew that Frieza was not someone I could challenge without the first stage of Super Saiyan. Yet, how in the fuck am I going to get to the first level. From what I could tell, I wasn't reborn as Goku or Vegeta, fuck.
But before I could take my revenge on Frieza, I had to kill Captain Ginyu first. The Ginyu force had attacked me from behind at the orders of Frieza then left me for dead. What they did not count on was that I would crawl my way into an assault pod before launching myself towards Terra on the outskirts of known space. I had heard through the silent mutters of the lesser races that this planet would make an easy target if Captain Marvel hadn't destroyed that Kree fleet a while back. Shit, how did I know that; fuck, Captain Marvel Carol Danver's was Marvel, not Dragon Bal Z.
Leaning back on my hunches, I rubbed my forehead as the h headache that threatens to split my noggin finally subsided. It was strange having two sets of memories in my head. I was Argus, but I was also Adrian, fuck I needed a drink. From the glimpses I had on entry, I was somewhere on the west coast to midwest.
I would need to take to the sky before figuring out where I was, but first I needed to tie up loose ends. A light hop took me fifty feet away from the assault pod, but I stopped with a ki ball charged in my hands. This pod was the only way on or off this planet for me; my Saiyan instincts told me not to hold onto it because that would be a weakness while my human instincts told me not to waste resources if I could help it. Growling, I turned to the side before firing off a blast into the wall of the creator surrounding me.
Grunting, I accepted it for what it was; I would need the pod for later so I couldn't destroy it now. A quick dash placed me beside the pod, looking around inside the pod I found a quick medical kit. Lifting up the front of my armor, I applied some medigel to the bleeding wound in my side that Recoome had given me. Once that was patched up, I looked on the left side of the pod. There I found the panel that would make my pod travel-worthy. It was a latch hiding a control panel, flipping the latch upwards, I inputted the command codes that would place the pod into stasis. Stepping back out of the way, I watched as the pod shrunk down into a capsule that could fit inside my palm or armor.
Swapping the hand, I was using to hold the capsule, I press the side of my scouter to locate the nearest pocket of power levels. From what I could tell, most if not all, were from the zero to ten range, not only that, but they were clustered to the east. With a clear plan in mind, I memories of flying sprang up in my mind, I smiled before taking off into the skies. Ki wrapped around my body before untethering me from the earth's pull of gravity.
Wincing from the pain in my side, I started a slow flight towards the east; hopefully, I would find civilization soon. I flew across the land in short parabolic hops towards what I could only assume was the nearest town. The scouter had me going east, but I knew if I flew west, I would get to California, but the rumble of my stomach had me following the scouter.
Around my tenth jump flight type maneuver, I heard a low rumbling coming from somewhere off to my left. Taking a moment to listen, I heard the sound coming from about a mile out to my left. I turned then dashed towards the sound moving at a forty-five-degree angle, hoping to get to the road long before the vehicle could pass me by.
I was running mid-sprint as I came upon the road the vehicle was using. I then held out my other hand with my thumb pointing upwards for the universal signal of a hitchhiker. Before long what I would deem an old school Ford pickup came driving along the road. Inside was an old couple with a dog in the back. I waited with my thumb up as the ford rumbled by before coming to a complete stop. Looking up and releasing a sigh of thank you to the great Stan Lee.
Leaning over and taking a peek inside, I found a middle-aged couple. The gentlemen looked like the classic cowboy in his hat boots and his bolo tie around his neck, holding his plaid shirt in place. His wife wore a pair of jeans and a blue blouse to match her boots.
"You don't look so good, son; you need a ride?"
"I'll be honest sir, it's been a day, and I would really appreciate that ride to anywhere right about now," I replied with a chuckle.
"Well, this lovely little lady is my wife, Martha, and the name's Johnathan Kent." The now Mr. Kent introduced himself and his wife. And I will be honest I had a very vivid flash of Superman braining me for being far too close to his parents. Ohh, by the grace of Stand Lee and Jack Kirby, I wish and hope I was not in the DC universe. Oh, sweet heavens above, I wish I wasn't in an insane death universe, but having the knowledge of Frieza and Captain Marvel in my head wasn't helping at all.
"Well, hop in the back now, we got a vet out on the ranch that can look you over." Mr. Kent said with a thumb pointing over his shoulder. It was funny how that move flashed his sidearm for me to see. Yeah, no way in hell was I going to fuck with Superman's parents.
Before jumping into the back, I gave the good dog a few head pats before joining him. Every good dog needs a good head pat. I relaxed into the flatbed of the ford as Mr. Kent started driving once more. Instinctively, I could tell that we weren't moving as fast as I could fly, but this was a straight shot to civilization, so no complaints here.
Ignoring the slightly bumpy ride, I brushed one had over the Labrador retriever while I formed a small ball of ki in my other hands. The ki lept to do my bidding, and I couldn't help but feel it rage underneath my skin to be released. I flexed my fingers as I performed a few slow breathing exercises and watched as the ki ball shifted above my palm. The ki flattened then stretched then flatten once more. Once I was certain I could do that a few times, I went for something a little harder. Holding the image in mind, I flexed my control and watched as the center of the ki ball twisted into its outer edges. This created a ki ring to hover over my palm.
That time my ki and control did not respond as fast as I wanted. Releasing the breath, I didn't even know I was holding. I decided to up the difficulty once more. The small ball of ki traveled from my open palm to the tip of my index finger. I didn't know how she did it, but Gon's teacher in Hunter-X-Hunter used alphabets as a training tool. I wasn't training anyone, only myself, but I also understood the amount of control she had to pull off something so complex so seamlessly.
I was thinking about ways to get to that level external ki control when my ears perked up at a radio transmission.
[ Billionaire Tony Stark major shareholder to Stark Industries was caught drunk in public today by TMZ, the rumor is he was turned down my MAXIM cover model Sandra O'neal. ]
Well, fuck, I now knew which universe I was in, and I was not very excited to find out it was Marvel, then again, I was in the truck bed of Johnathan and Martha Kent. This could be a DC, Marvel crossover, and if it was, I am such a fucking dead man. With a sigh, I placed my panicked thoughts aside to pet the dog some more and practiced my ki control. Idly, I noticed that my ki had a green tint to it and not the solid yellow of Goku from the show.
The little ki sphere on the tip of my fingers slowly changed shapes. First was the letter A, then B, then C for last, before going back through the shape changes slowly. I did this briefly before I felt and saw the truck turn out on the road leading to a farm.
Absorbing the ki back into the large well of power I felt inside me, I watched as the other farmhands came out to help the couple. I was already feeling remarkably a lot better, so I hopped out of the back as I waited for introductions. Of course, before I died, I was raised by a wonderful mother and I was the perfect gentleman as I got the door for Mrs. Kent, helping her exit the vehicle.
"Thank you dear." Mrs. Kent said while tapping me on the hand.
"No problem ma'am," I replied before waiting on the side of the ford. I watched as the farmhands got the feed out of the truck's back before heading back to their duties. Before I knew it, Jonathan was walking towards me with some guy that had to be the doc he was talking about.
Idly, I noted that the wound at my side was no longer an issue. Thanking Johnathan, I followed behind the Doc inside the house to get looked over. The farm home was a beautiful thing, two stories while also looking like it had plenty of room to house a large family. Inside, the house was richly decorated with furniture and other amenities. I noticed the picture on the wall of a son serving in the military. I couldn't hide my smile because it reminded me of my own photo back home on my sister's wall.
Fuck, there was no going back home. Not if I think this universe was what I thought it was. I was no longer a brother, uncle nor son. I no longer had a love life, bills to pay, home to take care of, I was nothing now in this universe. I wasn't even in the system here and you couldn't do anything in America without proper identification, fuck.
All I knew was the name of this body and I couldn't even say my own. I had a Saiyan pod in my pocket and a scouter that I had to disable the call function on. I was fucked and up shit creek on a backwater planet with no hope of getting to a proper space lane without letting Frieza and his forces know about missing an important Saiyan. Shit, how did I know I was an important Saiyan. Damn, I am gonna have to sit down and digest a lot of these memories later.
Sitting down at the dining table, I was a little stiff in removing the Frieza force armor, but luckily it stretched so it didn't take too much. Once the armor was off, I removed the standard-issue stretch shirt compatible with my oozaru transformation. One of the first things I noticed beside all of the damn muscle was the X shaped scar over where my heart would be. Then I noticed all of the damn blood, almost freaked me out before the Saiyan part of my mind exerted itself.
"Ohh, dear what happened to you?" Mrs. Kent asked as the doctor looked me over.
"Honestly, ma'am, am not too sure," I answered with sincerity in my voice. "I went to sleep last night and woke up this morning, falling out of the sky with what felt like a hole in my side."
"Well, is there anyone you would like to call?" Mr. Kent asked from his position near an old school corded phone.
"Yeah, try my sister's number 347-xxx-xxxx," I said, knowing it wouldn't work, but still praying to Stan Lee that it would.
"Didn't work."
"Then try this, 678-xxx-xxxx."
"Didn't work either."
"Then I fear I might not be in Kansas anymore," I answered a little glumly.
"Well, what made you think that is sonny." The doctor asked while cleaning the area where I was wounded with an alcohol swab.
"Because of the news on the radio, Tony Stark is not a person where I am from," I answered with a shrug trying to ignore the constricting feeling I was getting from my tail. I was wearing Freiza army standard combat pants, and it didn't accommodate a Saiyans tail. That meant I had to suck it up and deal right now until I can figure this out.
"Then what is he where you come from?" Mr. Kent asked me while taking a cup of coffee from his wife.
"A fictional character," I replied smoothly. "So I'm pretty sure I was dimensionally displaced somehow. The question isn't how I am going to get home, but what I plan to do now."
"Can you prove this dimensional displacement?" Mr. Kent asked me before taking another sip of his coffee.
Tilting my head to the side, thinking about what I could do to prove myself, I decided to go with something simple. Holding up a hand, I created a ki sphere for everyone to see. It was far easier to summon the raging ki as it formed a sphere above my open palm.
"Well, that ain't normal." The doctor said while taking out some medical ointment.
"You can use the loft in the barn since we had it made to house the extra ranch hands, dear." Mrs. Kent spoke up as she brought in a pie. Damn, when did she even have time to make one of those.
"I know someone at the local college; I'll give him a call." Mr. Kent said from his spot near the back door. "What do you think doc, is he good to go?"
"Yeah, just some bruised ribs is all, that wound he had already healed over." the doctor answered easily. "I might wanna take a blood sample to be sure."
"You can do that some other time, let the lad put his shirt back on." Mr. Kent replied back with a shooing motion of his hand.
O.O.O.O
FURY
SHIELD HELICARRIER
"Sir, we have a situation."
Fury turned his one good eye to look at the agent that dared to come and interrupt his coffee time at the head of the bridge. Fury watched the agent and let him sweat under his stare while he took a sip of his coffee.
Lowering his cup of coffee, Fury felt he had enough enjoyment of his agents squirming. "Report."
"We have an unidentified object crash in the Nevada desert, sir." Agent William answered quickly. Then he held up some pictures. "From what we were able to get, a person crashed here roughly one hour ago before making his way towards the nearest road."
Fury looked down at the images handed to him and wanted to release his favorite expletive. Down on the satellite images, Fury was able to see the crashed area and the top-down view of a moving person. He couldn't help thinking that something was off though.
"Why is the spacing so different from image to image?" Fury commanded as he held up the photos.
"Our target was moving at an unprecedented pace, the satellites were almost unable to catch up. We lost him once he started to fly, sir" Agent William answered.
"Fly?"
"Yes, sir. Image four and image six shows a difference in height to the desert floor shifting of the shadows. The analysis shows that he was in flight." Agent William answered.
"Coulson, get me, Agent Drew."
